My longest project yet, I set out to transform the soundtrack of Chrono Cross into a vaporwave-esque lofi hip-hop adventure.
Being such a massive game with such an expansive soundtrack, I did my best to keep as much of the overall narrative of the experience intact through both the visual and audio elements of this project; although there are some departures, the majority of the footage seen from the game correlates directly with when each track would be heard during an actual playthrough.
Because each track is simply a direct sample of the original PlayStation tracks, pumped through heavy degradation and the addition of various elements (e.g. drums, bass, and a plethora of effects) this mixtape will always be available for free.
However, if you really do enjoy what I've done here, there is an option to pay what you like to show your appreciation and support future projects.

Somewhere along the line I went overboard with the resonance on some sections of this one -- if you're experiencing an abnormal amount of scratchiness/distortion, using headphones should remedy the anomalies. The mix tested well except on smaller speakers, such as playing it out an iPhone's built-in speakers
