Excellent point!! I was trying to watch a fishing video a while back and the music was so overwhelming I literally could not pay attention to what I went there for. And there was nothing wrong with the music on its own. But it had nothing to do with trolling for Walleye LOL.
Hi Lorry! How many inches are from the rear tire to the pannier racks? I have the Sharon Exhaust from Rade Garage and is a Rally Style (lower than the OEM ), so I want to make sure it fit. Once again great videos! Thanks!
@@Outbackmotortek Lorry, from the rear tire wall to the outside end of the muffler is 81/2" with the Sharon exhaust. But because I removed the OEM muffler I can't tell... can you please measure yours with the rack panniers and let me know when you have chance. Thanks! Jerry

Hi! On my 790 R with akrapovic, I need to remove the exaust for the instalation. Because the Bolt from the rear foot-pegs is over the exaust. and soo close!. Can You measure the extra space need for the Pannier Racks? thanks!
Rolling Tones finally I solve the problem. From factory outback pannier racks are not compatible with akrapovic, but you can adapt cuting and welding one side of the panniers. Easy.
Just received my rack on Friday, and it is not the same as shown in this Video. The mount bolts are not torx or black, and the x plate(I guess is what you would call it) is a different adjustable design. Can you please update the vid, or at least put in the description torque specs? I’m still impressed with the rack, just was expecting the torx/hex style bolts to help keep the tool box on the bike to a minimum....
I just received mine yesterday and having problems with the hardware not matching up either... In fact, the type of 55mm bolt used (for foot peg) isn't long enough due to the head on it... What should have been an easy install has turned into a pain in the a**. Want able to finish before weather turned. Will go to hardware store tomorrow to get something that will work. Disappointing.

Sorry but I think the cross brace ist mounted in the wrong way. The bended area in the middle of the brace should point to the top. Otherwise you can get in collision with the tire in it‘s highest position.

I think the rear cross brace is shown upside down in the video. It would make more sense if it bends up rather than down.

Hi Jerry. I think the only thing that you need to make sure of is how far wide your new exhaust muffler goes compared to the OEM one. Can you compare?

Just gone mine yesterday and I'm in the same boat as you were a year ago, lol!. How did you end up installing the X-Plate thing?
I was ready to order it but why is the rack so far away from the bike on the left side ? This makes the bike very large, any reasons ?

Not that we know of. Both brands have specific pannier racks for the panniers
