Thank you for doing this, it reminded me of conversations with my dad many years ago. I too suffer from anxiety and for so many years kept it hidden

@@johnbateman-jbanxiety7020 how would we find out when your next interview takes place. I see there are three locations in the lower mainland. Unrelated but we have a hardcover book of Robert Bateman's artwork on our coffee table, it was wonderful to see he is still painting wildlife.

Enjoyed this conversation and understand very well and all about Anxiety, plus I'm a great admirer of Robert Batemans art and also nice to see at the grand age of 92 looking very well!

I can only dream of growing up with a father like Robert Bateman. Try growing up with a cross between, Hitler and devil, now we're talking anxiety. Happy you grew up with Robert Bateman.

I appreciate that John calls anxiety "Suffering", as it absolutely is. If you don't experience Generalized Anxiety, or know what panic attacks are like, you have no idea how debilitating they are.

This is true. Trying to explain my anxiety to some of my friends, I never have the right words. There are no words powerful enough to describe how my anxiety feels. I’ve had to go on disability because I can’t go to work.

Thanks so much for doing this John. I'm in Turkey right now and had a bad series of panic attacks. It was really hard coming to terms with my anxiety and how bad it is. One thing my counsellor had advised me to do was to start drawing again. In searching for 'how to sketch Robert Bateman' videos I came across this. I never thought I would find a video combining Robert Bateman and anxiety. Thanks for being so honest with your struggles as well!
