Apparently the original bassist of weezer got inspired by Rivers and would put Warmoth tele bass necks on his jazz basses. There are some pics of him playing those frankensteins, they look pretty cool.
Legend has it that Jason Newsted built a Warmoth bass around the time he was auditioning for Metallica, and I believe that Slipknot’s new bassist, Alessandro Venturella has a few Warmoth basses
Karl Sanders of NILE uses a scalloped Warmoth neck on one of his old Strats. He even used it in a music video. Probably not one of the most famous people around, but he's a hell of a player.
Bought a compound radius scalloped Warmoth neck for one of my strats about...jeeeesh...25 years ago :). When most of my guitars can't go 3 months out of the case without needing a truss rod adjustment, the Warmoth has *never* needed an adjustment, and it's been hanging on the wall (played daily) for a good 15 years now. Indestructible! \m/.
Rivers and Matt Sharp have to be the most famous Warmoth users. As a kid, I dreamed up my own Warmoth Strats and even though I never used Warmoth, I totally respect the company for all the quality, compatibility, and creativity. I ended up being so inspired, I bought a Blacktop Strat HH in sonic blue and made it a "Rivers" Strat, which is also what I named it. Not a proper Warmoth, but I did on the cheap!
I remember reading in Total Guitar years ago that Mark Chapman from ‘A’ had at least one Warmoth guitar, a left-handed S-type with two rails humbuckers (neck and slanted bridge), finished in red or pink.
Aaron , you forgot : *Michael lee firkins* The most underrated shredder to come out of the shrapnel records label/era . His yamaha Pacifica1221 MS models from the early 90s had necks made by warmoth atleast that's what an article by the builder *Rich Lasner* detailed! . Thanks for continuing with all the glorious content you do, stay safe/healthy everyone Cheers from Niagara Falls Canada - 🤟🙏😊
Craig Goldy of Dio also used two Pacifica 1221m guitars from the 90s up until the Magica album and tour, a blue and a ruby red (pink?) one, great guitars and hard to find these days!
I hear my name but I still haven’t gotten that Srv profile flamed maple neck with the rosewood 9.5 radius fretboard And stainless steel frets I ordered 49 years ago!!
I remember taking a tour of the earlier Warmoth shop in Puyallup and I've met Paul and Ken. I heard in the early 80's that Eric Clapton and Billy Gibbons paid a visit to that shop.
@@warmoth With tangents like that, your solos must be frickin' amazing, dude! FULL DISCLOSURE: My solos must be amazing too because my tangents are endless! :P
I remember that Jason Newsted in the early MetallicA era played a Warmoth bass, I think is a black, the one in the Cover of the Garage Days Ep from ‘87
Thanks for making such great videos! I've been bingeing them since I came across your channel! I hope you do a color comparison video for your silver colors (Inca Silver, Aluminum, Silver Flake, and even White Pearl) like you did for the gold colors. It would be super helpful for buying my next Warmoth replacement body. Thanks again!
Love your videos, love your delivery. Always interesting, informative and humorous. Have they given you that raise yet? I hear Gibson and Fender are looking for a PR guy with chops!🤩
I think Jeff Ament from Pearl Jam used to use a Warmoth bass in the early days. Warmoth body and an ESP neck. It was recorded in most of the songs on Ten.
Hello Aaron, great job as usual. I love the tea on the 3am post gig load out drive home. Bandmates used to call me Kaiser. A, because of the my German heritage and B because my mother would make me a cold cuts kaiser to eat on the way home from a gig.😂
It's very likely. I was at Mike's shop once about 15 years ago when a crate arrived vis UPS. Mike opened it up while I watched, and it was filled with about five of Pearl Jam's guitars and basses they had sent to him from their current tour. They were all busted up from the rigors of the road. Was pretty cool to see them all up close.
So kool that the colbert show guitarist uses your stuff. She's VERY talented if you ever look her up and see her stuff. Didn't know that. Thanks Aaron! Finally set up the blood wood fret board neck I got from yall and made it into one bad ass strat. Gave it as a gift to a good friend of mine. I loved it and didn't want to give it up once I got it play ready haha. But I got it done and got it to him. I was worried he wouldn't like it since he's a gretsch guy for the most part. HE LOVES IT! He didn't say anything bad about it. My other friend has a 3 year old daughter. I want to make her a pink guitar. Going to work with you guys again very soon : ) Let's get real lol... I'm prolly ALWAYS going to come back to you guys to make shit lol. I already have enough guitars for myself so now I'm just putting them together for people as a way to spread more musical joy. Especially in these dark times we need to help music be more powerful than ever! Great vid boss! You rock! Warmoth rocks! Wish the big name guitar companies would be as kool as you guys. Want customization at reasonable prices for quality that is arguably just as good if not better than the most popular guitar companies? Look no further. Warmoth is basically the best at this. Go to the website now and marvel at how easy it is to craft your own unique guitar build that NO ONE else will ever have. If you're unsure about stuff just ask them. They are more than helpful! They will even give you kool ideas that you probably didn't even think about.
I just finished a Warmoth Tele build, Gristletone electronics, warmoth body and neck (all rosewood!!!),and Fender american pro hardware. Best guitar I've ever played in 30 years of playing :D
Jimmy Herring!! How could you not include him in this! He's a musicians musician! Absolute genius on the guitar, a great teacher, and a great guy too!!
Sounds like you drifted off into a nice slumber while still in your vehicle...thanks for the laser-focused return to - hey, look at those cool guitars on the wall! I have a wall in my house, almost like it. Oh, famous people...yeah...
Can you make be a video about the TOM/STP angled neck pocket? I would like to build my own body using a TOM/STP and then have a strat replacement neck made for it by warmoth.
I love all your videos, I watch them pretty often, very informative. I was wondering if you could do a video on your lake placid blue color, and the other metallic colors. I have a 1996 mexican stratocaster and I love its version of Lake Placid Blue, it's a bit different from the original 1960s nitrocellulose version. I have been thinking about making a warmoth guitar in the same color but I can't quite tell from the color charts if it will match, Lake Placid Blue is tricky with reflections, changes color quick. Thanks and I love your videos! Hope you're doing great through covid
Aaron glad you are back man. My 10 year son’s nebula burst rear routed telecaster is almost all done. The finish and the roasted super very high flame maple neck is amazing. He was so happy to do another project with me. I’m sure with is SD BG-1400 neck and bridge pickups wired for 4 way switching it’s going to be super beefy tone. I will be sure to send pictures of it to my sales rep. Again thank you for getting us through quarantine with your awesome videos. One thing the shirt they sent with the guitar is awesome. However I’m a 2 xl and my son is 10 so a small would fit great. Where can I get one for him to wear?
Are you guys planning on expanding or changing up your bass offerings any time in the future? I’d love to see a true 4 string Gecko (35” scale, 24 frets, same heel and neck pocket as the 5er and 6er), but maybe that’s just me :)
zojirushi is a japanese brand. there a few others that do the same thing. but ur right, i can put a hot coffee in the fridge come back tomorrow and its still warm.
I am happy that you have a nice thermos, but I am also perhaps sad that you can't have a regular mug at work; when I had still an office in the days before Plague Times I had a very regular coffee cup (because I am Dutch and we drink coffee all day from regular mugs, it is our culture)
Victor Fuentes from Pierce the Veil uses them - ua-cam.com/video/Lm_Oum5fgE0/v-deo.html Also Mike Boyd introduced me to Warmoth but I don't know if he fits into this list. He's pretty famous here on UA-cam but he's not in a famous band which was what your list appeared to include.
Hands down best coffee mug ever. They keep the drink hot but they also don't leak AT ALL, so you can just throw it in a backpack and not worry about it.

I was _so_ hoping he was just going to fill the rest of the video talking about this mug and just never get to the famous people.
"This time I'm gonna focus like a laser" and then goes on a two minute rant about a thermos. Classic Aaron. I love this guy :) :)
