I followed some tips from Dylan’s videos for grounding and wiring for a recent Teje build. It went great. Use this man’s given knowledge. He is the real deal. ✌️
I have a tendency to overcomplicate things in my head and guitar wiring has been one of those things. For some reason I have really been struggling to wrap my head around how to solder. This video has helped me out a ton. Thanks a lot.
I'm building a monster strat. This is all I have left to do. There's a neck pick up, and a Seymour Duncan (distortion) at the tremolor. And a switch. Neck / bridge select
That was great, thanks, man I now know one of my problems, I was at 735, 800 will make a pool faster. I'm looking forward to rewiring my strat now Thanks again
I’ve done this once, it’s super easy in my case of having experience of building pedals and amps from kits with a soldering iron. Lots of fun too to the point I want to build another loaded pickguard
That's very cool, thank you! I needed this because I have a neat vintage Bulgarian-made hardtail strat waiting for a rewire. The only reason I haven't come around so far is, a regular strat pickguard is too narrow for its basin , so I'll have to make one (also a red tortoise one!)
What do you think about Gibson style 3+3 headstock? Do all Gibsons have tuning problems? I'm considering buying a les paul type guitar, but if I have to spend that much I might as well buy a PRS. But the problem with PRS is that it doesn't look as good lol. It would be great if you could make a video on guitars with tuning issues, especially how headstock angle and design affects it and what are the solutions.
Can you please help. I have viewed numerous excellent soldering instructional videos including most of yours and I am going nowhere with soldering, especially with guitar pots. I see that soldering connections should typically take 1 to 5 seconds at the most. I know how to flux, clean and tin and all my tips are good. I use quality 60/40 rosin core solder and a quality solder station. After I tip tin and try to get a connecting solder flow nothing happens. I have tried temps ranging from 300 to 800 degrees and there is still no tip connection solder flow. I don’t want to give up because I actually enjoy doing detailed meticulous work projects. Please help if you have any suggestions I would be grateful before I lose my mind. Best wishes.

Best demo on UA-cam! Thank you.

This was awesome. Very helpful and I thank you, sir.
Great video, thanks Dylan. Yes, a Tele wiring would be great. 😊
Great instruction here, adds to my confidence.
I would benefit from a Tele video too.
That was great, thanks, man

Thank you. Good tips. Your instructions have enabled and motivated me to undertake these type of projects.
great instructional vid,thanks Dylan
Great demo. Thanks, Dylan.

Dylan this was such a great video. I learned a lot so thanks for making these kind of videos.
Thanks Dylan!
Custom pickguards using the laser cutter maybe? 😁
I use orange drop capacitors too. Great capacitors

clean
Do you do pick guard orders for left handed guitars as well?
Please do the tele setup. I have a cheap tele ripoff guitar off my friend to died. I just wanted to get it working he handed to me in parts.
Another great video! 👍 👍
dylan, other than super cheap accounting costing for the major brands, why would one not copper foil the entire back of the pickguard?
Great idea for a video
You gotta do an ASMR video soldering!!!
Do you ever use flux when soldiering?
The solder has rosin in it. Flux is for pipes
@@DylanTalksTonedo I need to ground to the tremolo claw as well in this schematic?

This sounds like it could be a solder wire quality issue or perhaps your iron may have an issue with heat conduction.
Very cool to see all the little tricks - don’t get that level of quality with factory stuff
