  • There are about 70 Exotic Weapons in Destiny 2, about 30 of them are clinically bad for one reason or another. I pray that Bungie sees some of these ideas and uses them from feedback in the next new season.

    Misspoke on Deterministic Chaos's supposed catalyst, its 4th Times the Charm not subsistence which makes much more sense.

      Play each bullet as a void verb and fourth times. So overshield -> volatile -> suppress -> weaken repeat

      I'd say it would be better to just swap the two bullet types. Volatile ever 4th and weaken every 16th. Still weaken targets, anything that takes 16 shots is worth the weaken. more volatile explosions for more damage and add clear.

      queens breaker could be in its combat and marksman sights where the combat is a 3 round burst close - medium range and that marksman is more similar to a 3 round symmetry type shot for longer ranges and we could have a special fire mode after getting consecutive kills similar to vex where it does the linear shot instead of costing special or heavy ammo.

      Not only does it need FTTC, it needs to proc about one bullet faster for each debuff. It's so close to being a fantastic meta support weapon, these two changes would push it into that category.

      Exactly! The gun is already pretty good for single-target damage, so this would give it the boost it needs.

      Lol right? I have NEVER used it for add clear, it's always been a boss dmg tool for me. I know its not great but the weaken is free and blowing up adds nearby with volatile is cool... so yes FTTC over Subsistence for sure...

    I think I read somewhere where someone suggested that the D.A.R.C.I should scan a Champion and load the appropriate round to stun the champion. I think this would make the weapon more usable.

      Bungie has said that they don't want a single weapon to cover all champions. It would likely make all other options irrelevant because why use something else when this thing exists?

      That on top of giving it some sort of built-in debuff and boom it's usable. The problem is people have the damage is king mentality and with it being a sniper and them historically being used basically exclusively for boss dps and major chunking in pve it didn't have a leg to stand on even with the like 20 buffs. I was suggesting just turn it into a unique legendary like our old pinnacles used to be that way you can combo it with other exotics and you give it way more room to breathe because making it a special weapon would give it way less play than it already gets. In pve we have our damage dealing snipers, arc specials, and exotics already so it'd get no play, and in crucible you could close your eyes and point randomly and you'd still likely land on a sniper that at one point or another was given people unearned headshots. Hell there are plenty still doing it to this day like beloved.

      ​@budaluv4698 while this is true who's to say they couldn't balance this by taking up half the mag, or doing some sort of special reload. Idk, darci doesn't do shit for dick for damage anyways might as well let the exotic feeling be an ultimate utility weapon

      @@budaluv4698 "why use something else when this thing exists" because you're giving up your heavy weapon aka the dps option for a weapon thats awful at dps. also ever since light 3.0 can handle champions, having a weapon that can deal with them all isnt as bad

      I like it for the little extra damage for when I can’t get close with my tractor cannon and the DPS on a boss is too small for divinity

    Honestly, just give truth the exotic perk "Predator missile" and give it its D1 super aggressive tracking back, where it could do huge loops to hit the target, so if a truth gets locked on to you, you have to start playing DDR to get it off without dying.

      You know that fuck it gives the rockets path finding ability to the point that the only way to escape from them is to be in a Titan bubble or one shot very close to a wall

    Shatter damage should be a lot higher for salvation grip as threadlings go hard compared. It’s a lot harder to hit targets with shatter damage in general.

    For deterministic chaos, I really feel like that catalyst should be 4th time charm. The weapon is clearly meant to be a support weapon. I pull it out when I feel froggy

    Black talon still works for it's projectiles. In pvp it is extremely difficult to react to a black talon projectile because it fires immediately, while other swords you have more of a chance to dodge because of the "longer" animation.

      No one uses rockets for ad clear and if you do g horn does it but better
      I think it needs a version of full court where the longer it travels the more dmg but it can sack forever so that way you intentionally miss and it does a huge loop and hits for like 500k

    I still think with the colony should act as the gjallarhorn for heavy grenade launchers. Probably not wolfpack rounds of powerful but id probably say give colony Its auto-loader when its equipped instead of holstered and apply it to other GL’s when colony does [insert trigger mechanic here].

    I actually do NOT think that DARCI is a bad weapon. After the jolt update it just needs more ammo to be efficient at what is trying to do and maybe, if we feel generous, give it some type of in-build realod so you can ad clear indefinitely.

      Taking into account the state of the game, every heavy that has non competitive dps or some kind of utility is a waste of an exotic slot (machine guns being the exception for some content if you are lazy). In todays sandbox u have so many options to add clear, specials have been more dominant than ever before aswell as abilities & builds. If u need your heavy to add clear u are doing something wrong (ofc clearing adds with gally is still the most effective, but ontop of their add clear it still deals very good damage on bosses and is excellent for champs & majors) Darcis problem is it’s archetype & damage. And unless they overbuff the gun (and nerf splash options like rockets) nothing will change. Jolt is good but not as good as explosive damage.

      True, only thing is Eyes of Tomorrow is actually worth using even up to GM’s now that it can refund ammo, but yeah otherwise there’s no reason to use both your exotic and heavy slot on add clear

      @@Ysl489 Thats literally not true, you even said it yourself. LMGs exist and are used in some parts of the game. If weapon is efficient enough with its ad clear and ammo it will be used in some parts of the game. If DARCI had more ammo than its has now it could be used as a hybrid dps / stun / ad clear weapon and that has some utility.

      @@houskacmaxkalbovic2159 yea I made an exception for machine guns, because there is a small niche where they can be used. Also im talking about being optimal here. Any machine guns are basically never the optimal solution, the only time I’d consider them would be for an encounter like master totems, master Ron 1st & second. rn I can’t think of anything where I’d use a machine gun if I want to be optimal.
      But Darci on the other hand, even with let’s say 50% more ammo would still lack in the dps department, aswell as in the add clear department, jolt is too much of a weak effect for that to make it viable. Darci needs way more help than increasing its reserves to make it a contender.
      Also wdym with stun?

    For Deterministic just play each bullet as a void verb and stick fourth times as the Catalyst. So overshield (a small tick for doing damage) -> volatile -> suppress -> weaken repeat. Would basically become one of the most versatile exotics and the weaken would increase its dps pretty substantially

      it already weakens, and that weaken lasts long enough for you to proc it again on a single target

    I like the idea of salvations shooting all the souped up grenades and producing more shards, but I also think it needs to be like THE stasis gun since it’s competing with agers which is arguably the best of them. I believe it should shoot a grenade that is literally a combination of all 3, where it shoots a dusk field nade with a big stasis crystal in the middle as well as 3 seeker nades that seek out targes outside the dusk field and produces shards on shattered targets (kinda like hothead with fire sprites and allows you to get shards on bosses even with no adds)
    But here’s the kicker. It’s catty should act like isanagies, where consuming a full mag of ammo lets you shoot a souped up stasis turret wherever you want that sits in the middle of a dusk field nade. And of course the ammo economy needs to be low enough to make it balanced (maybe 9 shots with 3 in the mag each to give 3 max turrets)
    That’ll take a little away from warlocks needing to run stasis, but will boost the hell out of their freezing abilities and allow them to have even more crowd control or be able to build into something other then just turret spam. Or allow for other classes to really build into their stasis builds.

    For DARCI I think really leaning into the personal assistant perk is the way to go. Maybe the gun would have different effects that trigger based on what the scanned target is, like for red bar enemies allow ammo refund on precision kill to enable add clearing, for champions allow it to stun whatever type of champion you're targeting, and for bosses some sort of damage perk to allow for better DPS.

      We have enough aim bot snipers in the special slot. The only way bungie could make darci worth while with whisper and Cloudstrike existing would be to give it another damage perk on top of what it already has and ironically enough making it a legendary weapon like our old-school pinnacles. That way it still maintains it's uniqueness, technically doesn't have to compete with the other exotic snipers, and that opens it up for combos with other exotics to make it an actual dps option. Moving it to the special slot if anything would get it less play ironically enough because it'd be hard to use it as a measuring stick for testing and with snipers like beloved, eye of sol, and (insert run of the mill snapshot opening shot sniper here) that basically aim for you on the pvp side of things who's gonna pull darci? Other snipers already do it better for less cost

    It would be cool if Truth gave ALL surrounding legendary rockets tracking, just as Ghaller gives them Wolfpack rounds…
    Eyes could give you ammo back if they get a multi-kill…
    And so on and so fourth with all exotic rockets buffing legendary ones in an appropriate way.

    I love your idea for DARCI! Here's another one, after aiming at a target for a short time (Like box breathing) your next shot on the target reveals a hidden weakpoint which takes significantly more precision damage than the standard precision hit.
    The idea is that it's an alternative to Divinity that does not stack with it. Instead of having the ease of use Div's bubble gets, you reward a team of crackshots with some fantastic damage numbers.

    I've always personally been a fan of just letting DARCI have a guaranteed crit when its passive is active. Like, why not? It would at least make it really unique, and it's not like crits aren't already a thing with something like Divinity too.

    Queenbreaker and DARCI being Special weapons just makes sense. The QB's blind makes it a decent long-distance Unstoppable stopper. Not to say that anything else wouldn't be better, but I can definitely see it as a Special. These definitely should not be Heavy, though, that's just a waste of a slot.

      They could always just buff darci so that its not a waste of a slot, the weapon deals 500k damage with well, give it like 50-100% damage bonus while the perk is active on top of its current buffs and darci would be worth using, queenbreaker however should’ve stayed a special weapon, and I like the idea of switching scopes in game like tdt mentioned would be a good change

      Darci being a special makes absolutely no sense, it's either worse than cloudstrike or it makes cloudstrike worthless. Having 2 rapid fire arc DPS snipers in the same slot is pointless. Darci would be even more irrelevant if it were special

    I think one thing Darci should have (even if it won't fix the gun) is that if it gave a visual indicator of an enemy's crit spot in like a little box around the spot.
    If you've played borderlands 2 it would work like b0re for Zer0.

    Probably the best change for deterministic chaos is to make the counter for the number of shots stay for a few seconds after firing instead of completely disappearing. This would allow you to stop firing and re-aim between groups of enemies instead of wasting shots or loosing the volatile round.

    actually used Deterministic Chaos during day 1 Ghosts of the Deep during final boss cause we needed weaken to kill it faster, but also more dmg then div since the others used rockets

    i loved using Queenbreaker's Bow as my main sniper back in ye old HoW days, very glad to see it put on the list! i wouldn't mind it getting some nerfs and such to bring it down so long as it didn't have to clog my heavy slot when there are sooooo many better options, so i really hope someday i get to see it back in the special slot

    I wish that:
    The Colony: droids Suppress.
    DARCI: Precision hits on marked targets make a sonar ping that tags enemies nearby with a wallhack debuff, that allows faster marking of the next target too.
    Truth: Make it like Prospector so that I can full auto, and stick multiple rockets to a thing for a damage bonus, or keyword per rocket stick.
    Queenbreaker: I agree with Special ammo / special reload to swap scope.
    Deterministic Chaos: Fourth Times the Charm and Triple Tap - if both trigger on the same shot it gives you a shield.
    Worldline Zero: DMC combos - the regular heavy attack does the tesseract attack upwards. Activating in midair makes it a slam.
    Wardcliff coil: Pocket infinity treatment, but you're more likely to straight up die as you fire more ammo.
    Prospector: Triple tap, but for impacts on enemies. also confetti explosions.
    Black Talon: Regenerate power much faster in midair so that I can fire off void blades like a strand titan with flechettes.
    Salvation's Grip: An Explosive Light style effect, but based on collecting stasis crystals, and increasing shatter damage/ radius.

    I really like y'all's videos and most of your suggestions for exotics. The only one I really want to help out with in this video is The Colony, what if it went to strand and just shot super threadlings (in more ways that this) that did more damage and possibly something else like apply a debuff.

    pls do this but with exotic armour heres an idea for khepris horn. the blast matches your subclass and creates a debuff specific to the class like solar scorches void weakens and so on

    imo, darci should be the gjallarhorn of snipers, giving a buff to all allies using snipers hitting the target you're shooting/targeting

    For DC. I actually had a different concept where it had a similar effect to Thunderlord but instead it gains a stack buff that increases fire rate and damage for hitting a void debuffed target. It would take 4 stacks to hit max damage. The buff would be small enough so it isn’t op still visible in dealing damage

    Ive been praying and begging bungie to make Darci into being a buffer weapon to snipers similar to what ghorn does to rockets. Make it when Personal assitance is active, nearby legendary snipers would get increased precison damage and all snipers get reduced flinch and increased stability. And for Queen breaker i would like it to get an added effect whwre it does increased damage against blinded targets and precison kills does blind explosions.

    For Deterministic Chaos, think a cool design would be to just give it destabilizing rounds by default, and make the 4/4th round cause your equipped grenade to explode on the target (4ttc catalyst would do wonders). Worldline should be a vortex frame at base. An in-flavor darci buff I've cooked up in my head would cause it to mark the target when it lands a crit, ramping up to 35% increased damage from all fireteam members (so slightly stronger than a tether/tractor when fully ramped up). Colony I think could stay within its original fantasy with A), its Autoloading Holster replaced by a hybrid Reconstruction/Subsistence and B), its grenades changing to a "stick, then detonate" style so it can deal with airborne targets.

    My power weapon ideas:
    Prospector: give it rewind rounds, a damage buff (30% or so) and let it pick up more ammo per brick. It's the big explosion weapon, let it do bigger explosions more often
    Wardcliff: I love the trench barrel idea, it's utterly stupid and fits so well. 100% agree with it
    Darci: Hitting a target gives it a custom stacking debuff (35%) just for legendary sniper rifles. Rapid precision hits also grant nearby allies bonus stability, handling, reload and aim assist (+40 to each). Not the most interesting idea, but it works thematically and would make it strong.
    Colony: Make it fire multiple grenades per shot like a shotgun grenade launcher and every kill spawns a threadling. I just wanna see more chaos, and making it fire lots more projectiles makes it feel more like a swarm
    Worldline: I agree with the infinite chaining, but also give it ammo back on each kill. Also give it eager edge, it's exotic, it deserves to be better than other half.
    1KV: Buff reserves to 8 at base (so you get 2 per brick every time) and make the beam fire for 50% longer. Makes it much more usable for add clear and makes even bigger explosions.
    Black talon: honestly not sure, but I think giving it bonus airborne damage is interesting. Chain reaction is also another good idea maybe?
    Queenbreaker: let it blind in a large aoe on hit, it'd make it the only real heavy blinding option. It'd give it more PvE utility, as it'll do everything reasonably well.
    Truth: making it laser guided would be interesting, it'd make for some very funny gambit kills. Hits with it should also give nearby rockets tracking, although I don't think that'd be very useful
    Deathbringer: just let it work in a fireteam. It's actually not a bad option, it's just that it doesn't scale at all with multiple people as the projectiles get deleted.
    Heir apparent: after landing a few shots (20-50 ish), hold reload to stomp, dealing large damage in a decent aoe and knocking enemies flying. Would be very funny to be able to stomp bosses back
    Salvations grip: honestly I like the idea of giving it infinite, regenerating ammo like ice breaker. It'd be disabled in PvP, but letting it function like an ability would be fun. The damage is pathetic, it's basically a glacier grenade with less synergy.
    Heartshadow: reduce the ammo cost for the heavy attack, it's actually starting to see some niche use as an invis stick, so making that easier to sustain is good.
    deterministic chaos: every 4th shot deals 100% bonus damage, every 16th deals 400% bonus damage. This works out at a 44% damage buff, but makes the bonus shots feel like they have more weight. I'd also give those shots explosions on kill (larger on the 16th shot) and bonus aim assist to make them feel more impactful

    The Colony is the best-looking grenade launcher ever. The reloading animation is so good. And the sound, oh my god, THE SOUND. It's so satisfying. Whatever they're planning do with the weapon, they need to keep that "soft and premium" (I know, stupid choice of words but I can't explain it differently lol) sound.

    I think a cool feature of the colony that could be added would have it shoot a grenade while stowed if you hit a target enough, this auto fire grenade feature uses the reserve ammo and could display a buff icon showing how many grenades are left, this leans into the autonomous nature of the weapon

    I've given some thought to these weapons in the past, and here are my suggestions.
    Colony - I remember when this thing used to be a terror in PvP to the point that I still hate the weapon on principle. The weapon was nerfed for PvP, but I think it could have some of the nerfs looking at again, what with players getting an extra 30 to their shields in March.
    As a void weapon, Colony would benefit from some Void 3.0 functionality. A good idea is to let enemies hit by Colony become volatile for a short time so that Colony can be used to deal with mobs of ads. Further hits against volatile targets will suppress them. This makes Colony useful against Overload Champions.
    D.A.R.C.I - It needs to be a true dps weapon to be viable. Adding Triple Tap to the catalyst would help this weapon a lot. It needs to be able to compete with other exotic weapons with regards to dps so a further increase to the precision damage modifier would help.
    Truth - This one is easy and takes inspiration from Izanagi's Burden. Firstly fold Chain Reaction into the Truthseeker Rockets perk so that it is better at ad clear. Give it a catalyst that significantly increases the reload speed and then allows Truth to combine three rockets into a super high damage rocket that weakens opponents hit by it. This then gives it some viability against single high health targets like bosses and champions.
    The Queensbreaker - Another easy one to fix with a rework. Allow it to switch between firing modes on the fly by holding reload. In the combat sights mode it fires a 3 shot burst, as if it was an Aggressive Frame linear fusion rifle, but with about 45 range. In the marksman sights mode it gains increased range and fires single shots, with high precision damage, that also blinds opponents. Which makes it useful against Unstoppable champions.
    Deterministic Chaos - Have the catalyst grant an increase in magazine size, reload speed and the Repulsor Brace perk. With all the weakened and volatile opponents this thing will make, maintaining the overshield will be a breeze.
    Worldline Zero - Make this a Vorpal Frame Sword so that the R2 heavy attack becomes a spin attack that can be used even when standing still. However, using the Tesseract blink attack significsntly increases the damage of the R2 attack and jolts targets. This makes it useful against Overload champions.
    Wardcliff Coil - Increase its damage by 10% and increase the blast radius of the rockets by 10. Give it the Danger Zone perk to provide some protection against errant rockets. Lastly have it inflict blind on targets hit by the rockets as this makes it useful against Unstoppable champions.
    Prospector - This needs to be a proper burst damage weapon with some built-in functionality that allows it to be a flexible weapon for use in several situations. Bungie could do this by allowing this weapon to shift between arc and solar damage by holding reload. The solar grenades would scorch targets, and the arc grenades would blind targets.
    When enemies are killed, they explode, spreading scorch/blind to nearby targets.
    Stacking grenades onto a target increases the damage of the individual grenades. Stacking 3-4 grenades increases their individual damage by 133%. Stacking 4-7 grenades increases their individual damage by 166%. Stacking all 8 grenades increases the damage of each grenade by 200% as well as blinding and scorching the target.
    Black Talon - I agree with you on this sword. Let this sword fire projectiles in the air, similar to how the Dawnblade super works, and add High Ground to the masterwork catalyst. Lastly have enemies killed by this weapon explode dealing void damage to nearby opponents.
    Salvation's Grip - Have Stasis crystals and frozen opponents destroyed by this weapon send out Stasis seekers that track and freeze nearby targets. These targets do not spawn further seekers. 0:03 0:03

    Deterministic Chaos: I swear it was meant to be 900RPM, also since sustained fire is it's whole thing(can't tap the trigger 4 times to activate the perk you HAVE to hold it), make it more stable the longer you hold it, since boosting it's RPM would make it kick like mad plus the extra kick on the 4th round.
    Worldline Zero: Stick with your idea but make it cost 1 more ammo every use in a row, for balancing.
    Wardcliff Coil: While Trench Barrel is active, every rocket fires simultaneously, like shotgun pellets.

    Thoughts: 1. Colony, the answer is in the name. You get a kill with one colony grenade and it spawns in 1 or 2 more. Only the original grenades can do that. 2. Darcy, ADS'ing on a target gives you wall hacks for as long as you remain ADS'ing (have to have ammo to make it work). Getting a kill gives you whole team wall hacks for 7 seconds. 3. Buff 'grenades and horseshoes' perk back to where it was and revert the nerfs it had. 4.Queenbreaker, either make it a special or buff the heck out of its damage. 5. DT: just speed up the fire rate. 6. I like your idea, if you get a kill it readies the teleport attack and you can keep doing that until you don't get a kill. Lean into it and give it intrinsic 'Tireless Blade' 7. Make WC like the tank we get to drive around sometimes in PVE. Hold down on aim, let it lock onto up 8 targets, then fire at all of them at once. If sight lines somehow worked out in PVP you could in theory get kills in every direction possible. 8. Prospector? eliminate reloads and let it shoot everything you have all at once if you wanted to? The ultimate one and done heavy weapon? 9. Black Talon, get a kill and use you movement button to blink around regardless of class? 10. SG: make it a unique legendary, no random rolls? Maybe even do this with Queensbreaker?

    -Truth just needs to have a ridiculous amount of reserves.
    -Queenbreaker is very strong in PvE, blind is arguably the strongest debuff on Adds, and having AOE and high damage is so versatile.
    -Darci is in the Same boat, love using it with lucky raspberry, not as potent, but it has a lot of ammo.
    -Wardcliff would be fun with if it had trench barrel. Then combine that with danger close😁

    Simple solutions for Black Talon. 1, easier, give it repulsor brace and/or destabilizing rounds along with more ammo, to like 100. 2. Play into that frozen ornament and make it stasis, and stasis crystals get created wherever it hits/targets get frozen

    Aztecross actually did dmg testing recently with Worldline Zero and with both charged heavy attacks back to back can one(two) hit champions in even gm content. So it is a contender for some big burst damage

    regarding DARCI: a suggestion i heard almost ages ago already is that, as it is an information gathering weapon, it could function as an anti champion weapon for all champion types. by that i mean you ADS on a champion for 1 or 2 seconds (long enough to make it seem like gathering, but short enough to enable scanning overload captains, those dudes stink ass) and then it adapts that champions type and can stun that champion. AB makes sense cuz it's a sniper, US makes sense cuz it's a heavy and OL makes sense i guess cuz it's arc. and as it'll sacrifice your heavy slot for the anti champion role on a weapon that does not deal the most amount of damage or DPS, you'd have to bring strong specials and abilities for the bosses while also maintaining good ad clear. so in total i don't think this would break the meta. at least not any more than weapons like the riptide did, which literally was a special weapon that was good against all champion types

    Prospector should have the detonator on the left trigger instead of right, allowing you to wait before firing another shot, without exploding all the grenades. That would make it great for laying traps where you know enemies will spawn, or doing a huge amount of damage to a boss right when their shield drops!

    the idea suggested in this video would make the colony suck worse.
    just up the damage, make it less costing to get the kill. maybe making the target volatile, it's a void weapon, thats all thats needed.

    My friend mentioned that truth and colony are both getting updates before Final Shape, so hopefully their buffs will be good, with that said:
    -Colony: I think even just basic buffing would do it some good, like making it trigger volatile on hit as well as a VERY SUBSTANTIAL damage buff (because its proximity based its damage has always been mid at best)
    -Truth: in all honesty this depends on if you want it to be an allrounder weapon or to be a pvp specific exotic. I assumed the latter, which is why it's hard to suggest something without breaking it. That being said while your idea is good, another option if we REALLY want to make it just absurd is allow it to bounce off targets its tracking. (in crucible if would detonate then fly up and start randomly tracking a nearby target, total of 3 times.)
    -Queenbreaker: No lie its in an alright spot after the recent change but it always felt off. I would personally like it's stats based on the scope to NOT be worse than every other linear, or perhaps make it like lord of wolves. Each scope has a different function, the short zoom gives it the ricochet, and the long range gives much higher damage and piercing
    -Deterministic chaos: I personally thought just switching which bullet does what would be enough, since waiting 16 shots for a single volatile proc is very useless, especially when we can give all void guns volatile almost whenever.
    For the most part everything else was on point or good suggestions, Hopefully bungie does take a glance at some of these, especially since some of these are still vanilla weapons that haven't been touched since

    One more option for Salvation's Grip: damaging targets with Stasis Crystals should buff it. Not damage outright, just some kind of buff. Increased charge rate would be the simplest, but I'm not sure it would feel good enough by itself.

    Truth with Full Court sounds pretty sick, though instead of the overshield bit I'd prefer to see bonus damage to aerial targets. Truth has always had the stinger missile fantasy for me, and that would make it a nice pick for killing threshers, wizards, and hovering legionnaries.
    Worldline is good as-is actually! It's niche rn, but it's the king of sword burst damage. Better than lament for Atraks, but its dps falls off a cliff if your window is any longer than that :)

    Also if I may, rework tractor canon a bit. So that if a enemy you hit with it, hits a wall, it creates a miniature nova bomb blackhole that sucks in enemies in a small radius. Making the enemies weakened and then it explodes making them volatile.

    Prospector I think would be _incredibly_ cool if its grenades could actually stick to targets, and be detonated _not_ by releasing the trigger, but by holding the reload button instead, making the weapon actually feel like you are doing some prospecting with TNT! If that is a bit unwieldy, perhaps it could just be an option? Like hold the reload button to swap from the old fire mode to the new one, and then hold it again to detonate.

    One thing I know people don’t realize with black talon is that on ground it can heavy attack twice consecutively. I’m not a fan of the catalyst though. The timer for a damage boost is too fast and you can’t really utilize it because you take so much damage that strongholds would be the pairing that makes its tolerable to try and proc the damage buff. Other than that I love what black talon *could* be

    I personally really like Queenbreakers as part of my casual Eliksni Guardian RP build. I used it a bit while doing Salvages. Swapping scope modes without menu is a definite must. Id also like it to have more reserves, if swapped to Special
    Isnt Worldline ok for very short burst DPS?
    I think it would be nice if, when you shoot Salvation's Grip at an enemy, it actually froze them and/or create the crystals at their feet. Instead of bouncing off and landing 10 feet away.

    For the Truth, i would give it a catalyst that gives the rocket launcher a niche "lasting impresion" perk, as in when the rocket reaches the target, it attaches to the target and pushes the target (as in off a control point or locking the target in a corner), and after a few seconds it explodes. And also to be usable on allies as well. The fun we could have if it would exist.

    I loved Truth in D1 but in D2 tracking rockets feel more important in pve than in pvp, especially with the GL meta right now.
    My idea for Truth was to rework it so that when it locked onto something, it also made nearby rockets lock onto that same target. Think wolfpack rounds but for tracking instead of damage, and speaking of: give it a unique synergy where it can receive wolfpack rounds as if it were legendary while also providing strong tracking to gjallarhorn.
    Then to give it more of a void feel while still providing very good synergy, have its catalyst weaken and supress on sustained damage, playing into its unique mag size while also providing more support to your fireteams rocket users. This way it also has the benefit of potentially synergizing with echo of domineering, allowing it to reload itself while on a void subclass.

    Some corrections and comments:
    • Common misconception that Wardcliff Coil does increased damage to Vehicles (or Constructs). This isn't the case; Wardcliff Coil's multipliers for Vehicle combatants share the same damage reduction that Bosses (and Minibosses/Champions) have. It does increased damage to Rank-and-File and Elite combatants - meaning "Bosses" that currently or used to (like Oryx's Daughters) get shredded by Wardcliff are/were actually coded as Rank-and-File or Elites, not Vehicles
    • Deterministic Chaos's catalyst Fourth Time's the Charm is in the database, though that doesn't necessarily mean anything as we've had unused catalysts in the database for other weapons that either were changed or went entirely unused (though FTTC makes the most amount of sense for it)
    • Re: DARCI: I had Chris Proctor - weapons lead - on my podcast a year ago and he reiterated (and unprompted) said that DARCI will remain in the Heavy slot - presumably until they exhaust all options. I do prefer they really lean into its identity of "hold scope on enemy for X buffs" and "holding scope on a Champion lots that anti-counter round" ideas that have been floating about
    • Queensbreaker's chaining lightning + Blind AOE effect can be done on any hit, not just precision
    • A few months back during a Weapons blog post they stated The Colony and Truth were getting looked at for future changes/buffs, so there's that

    I've been talking about this idea for a long time with worldline. Just let tesseract stay after teleport kill, so you can instant blink to another target. Thisnway you can simply turn into zooming angry ball of arc flavoured death that hopps from one target to another in matter of seconds

    Wardcliff coil should have a perk where rockets damage goes up based on the amount of rockets that hit a single target. Kinda like target lock. Each missile that hits takes the damage up like 2%. Maxing out at 20% on the last rocket of a volley.

    Your Wardcliff idea is good especially with the change to Danger Zone. Maybe the melee could make your next shot have both Trench Barrel AND DangerZone so you can just slide and carpet bomb yourself while doing massive damage to enemies but not yourself.

    Still maintain that deterministic is a good weapon that got its perk mixed up. Should be volatile every 4th shot, weaken on the 8th from a catalyst, and suppress on the 16th. At that point it becomes a gyrafalcon hunter’s wet dream

    Salvation's Grip is best to used by warlock cause when I use it with my stasis sub class just use it to create alot of ice the just right click with winter wraith dealing tons of damage, but I also kinda want it to have catalyst as well cause unlike other this one can't enhance anything.
