@jescaik Interesting point, but the statue is a landmark and not a skyscraper. Cities like Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, Chicago and others are defined by their skylines. Without their towering structures standing testament to their architectural and commercial prowess, we would hardly recognize them if shown a photo. Don't worry though. I have other cities in mind as well which won't have many, if any, skyscrapers.
@MrGigigigia Graph is normal if you're running CAM. it increases highest cap as you see there. In normal simcity the graph only shows up to 6k, but the demand actually goes higher.
@Pryce2112 as in, if you unlock the next stage of buildings and have another 50-100k people suddenly on your roads which can't handle them when your buildings upgrade, your city collapses
@Horheyda2nd I think its more about Commercial office population of about 30,000 workers or so. Then its just a matter of demand and desirability. Since i'm using a mod, it's a bit more difficult

What is Cam? I have a city with 250,000 and about 1 million in the bank and growing. It is a small block on the basic map. I have some nice skyscrapers but how do I get the roads and other nice building. Is that from Cam?

Great video! On 9:31 the thing with I think you didn’t do is that the road isn’t connected to the avenue so cars have to make a very big circle in order to tech these commercial buildings!
build the city to sky-high, fill the map with all the houses, after they cant grow no more send some ufos in it, robots, tornado, volcanos, and other shit in it. after u get bored...my favorite final show...nuke the city clean with just one button. and repeat. XD

Quick question: I see you have segregated you commercial, residential and industry when I attempt that people start abandoning buildings due to commute time. How do you keep the sims in residential when they work so far away, thank in advance.
Must have is the Network Addon Mod. Vanilla transportation systems are bad. They opt to take shortest distance to destination over fastest. Another is lots of mass transit. Don't rely on a single line/road/highway. to get people where they need to go. You'll overload it and raise commute times.
no it's actually realistic. Just not that much in north america. But in communist countries in asia that IS realistic. Especially china, they're building cities out of scratch that that's sort of what they look like.

@Waspination You can get some without CAM but there is a pack out there with CAM that has them as well as their dependencies.
@blackoperation14 Better transit system and don't have 1 town provide all of one type of job for the region. Makes for a lot of commuting.

They give you a combination of options between shift control and alt to zone to your liking.
Of course the game is playable. Mods simply add variety, difficulty, and/or fix well documented bugs within the game.

There are cheat mods and non cheat mods. Also you are the first person i know of to say mods ruin the game, now thats impressive.

Check out Dwyrin's Plugins tutorial. For the roads, Get the NAM with the retexture pack from sc4devotion or simtropolis.
