Stan, you've changed my entire way of drawing for the better. Not only am I learning proportions, but I'm taking the experience slow and having fun. *sending virtual hug*
I got attracted towards the channel because of loomis heads videos, I wasn't a very good at drawing faces at that time which was precisely about 4 days ago, now I can draw faces, facial expressions, eyes, lips and noses. Thanks, you tought me a lot
Hey!! Just wanted to let you know that our class is using your videos to teach me and my classmates how to draw realistically. You make awesome videos!! Our art teacher chose someone really good to use for art!! Earned a new subscriber!!
@@IamALeaf Probably just a course on how to help people easily understand how to draw realistically. I am watching these videos in my high school class and we have projects to draw realistically and he gives us these videos as reference. He also helps us and gives us advice and doesn’t just let the video play and tell us to figure the rest out lol.
WisdomThumbs So you had drawing classes in high school? Man, now I see my school was crap, we literally had nothing besides normal classes (and the dance classes for old ppl, but that was something else)
The step-by-step helps to make the theory in your previous videos more actionable. I appreciate it and I'm sure the rest of your audience does as well.
Thank you so much for making these videos. They are really helpful and making me into a better artist. Even though I'm only 13. Again, thank so very much.
oooo be happy, that you live in such a time, when you can find everything on UA-cam. :) And: Continue drawing!! Really! You are so young and now you have the time for learning it and you learn much faster then older people. I wish, i would be 15..... and would learn as much as possible. :(
SAME. I have a drawing I did w/ a grid. I thought I cheated, but did I great job. in fact, I took an easy route and the more I look at it I realize it's shitty and flat..
don't be discouraged this guy been drawing lips for 20 years, just take it real slow and note your mistakes you'll be surprised how quickly you can do it well.
How can u start learning if u don't even know ur drawings bad and what result that u would wanna focus on? plus there's definitely something that u can learn I bet u don't know lips should be drawn as 5 pillows before
These are so great. Especially after watching your shading videos drawing alongside these really nails in the concepts of those videos. I draw with each of them and it makes me feel more confident about my grasp on how to produce a real drawing start to finish :-)
He's been using a Conte "Pierre Noire"1710 B. Not sure if they're made with charcoal or carbon or what, but they're really beautiful pencils (cost a pretty penny, too, of course). Wide tonal range with deep blacks and the medium is very thick, so they have lots of expressive potential. A bit like charcoal, but waxier.
you are kind of perfectionism in your art, an't you? now I am afraid to show my works to any body because compare to your standard, it is to low. Very inspirational and talent teacher :D. You win a big fan. Telling everybody about your channel. Best of luck bro.
no no weird is cool! i love your humour. ! keep it ! for some reason this one seemed to take a while.something of the magic of the previous vids was missing.but thats okay.small thing.dont worry.your faithful followers are still behind you :)
Drawing lips and hands are my weakest points in art. Can you please make a video on how to draw hands? Seriously the best online tutorials I have found
Thanks for the videos Stan, some of us can't afford art school, we just stick to youtube and the public library. Your knowledge is priceless. Thank you.
I’ve been trying to find UA-cam videos that could help me with my drawings but I couldn’t find any until now. THIS IS SO AMAZING. Thank you so much. These videos have improved my drawing so much!!!

these are helping me so much ! but i completely screwed up the lips. but the eye and nose i drew, while they're not as good as yours (not even close) they do look really good. thanks :)
Great tutorial - some of the other tutorials you put the reference side-by-side with the finished drawing, it would have been useful in this case. Thanks Stan - love my premium content too.

Hi Stan, I have just come across your channel and you have helped me immensely, so thankyou very much. I have a few questions however, being: 1) Do you use hard, medium or soft charcoal? 2) How does your charcoal blend so neatly without a blending stump? My art looks a bit muddy, which i tried to fix by blending, which in turn changed the colour and texture. Maybe it has something to do with the paper? (I know I am 12 years late but if you could respond i would really appreciate it.) Thankyou again!
Its awesome Proko..its too helpful for all. I request you to post some videos for the beginners. And especially the Shading on the face. Thanks in advance and waiting for your reply
I have watched all your videos and found them extremely helpful . Thanks so much ! Would you please make a tutorial on how to draw hair as well ? I do realize you have it covered in your personal website but I think it would much easier to understand if you could show it in a video. Thanks again !
Proko i have a small problem on how far the lips suppose to be from nose when you draw the head for example and you do it like a simple form does you split it into thirds? in which third should the lips are excuse my stupid question but well it's not long since i started take a more tour in the world of drawing.
AD VG Half way between the bottom of the nose and chin is the bottom of the bottom lip. 1/3 down from the bottom of the nose is the separation between the lips. this image will help: @736
+Proko Thank you very much! :) Is there a way to find the length of the lips? Something like: the nodes sit under the corner of the eyes (f.e.; i know, that s wrong :) ).
When I draw lips, I like to do it more differently but it's more like a amateur look cause I am just beginning to finally learn to draw portraits of people.
Congratulation Stan, these videos are very useful. Are you think add subtitles in the first videos too?. It would be a great help for foreign people like me. Thanks in advance.

Mr Prokopenko, the way you teach and show examples is just awesome is just awesome.
