I reeeaaally wish you guys could make a video highlighting the speed and not just the resolution capabilities. Everyone knows the resolution drops with higher frame rates, and some super high-speed shots won't deter a single serious customer. You'll probably actually gain more once people see how insanely fast this camera can film. Please?
You need specific things to shoot at such a high frame rate. If you film at 10,000fps, we would end up scaling it to 60fps for youtube and then you wouldn't be able to tell the diference between 1000 and 10,000. We would need something like a fly batting its wings to really make use of the high frame rate. Something that 1000fps wouldn't capture. There are plenty of scientific applications taking advantage of the high frame rate. They are scattered around youtube if you are looking for demos.
Showing the specifications would help potential customers understand how this compares with higher end cameras. High-end high speed cameras are great for large companies and complex dynamic events, but this type of technology at this price point is to-date unheard of for consumers who do not have a large budget or immediate need for high end cameras.

Well, I have questions. Is this the artefacts all footage will have? From what I see in the video, all the material is unusable. And isn't the camera HD? The video resolution in youtube is 4k.
I assume they rendered 4k just to get the higher bitrate that UA-cam gives the 4k codec. Fluid recordings on the lower bitrate used for standard 1080p look sh*t because the motion to be expected from a fluid is anything but linear. Also, as he said in the more extensive video on his private channel: ua-cam.com/video/T4iBiVZlzns/v-deo.html that some of the demo footage was taken on their prototype which had a pre-production 4k sensor of the same generation, which could also explain a bit of the noise characteristics (but would be equivalent to the 1080p one in terms of sensitivity per sensor area). Then again, with the fluid shots the noise could also be a matter of lighting. If they are using "only" their ~4x Godox SL-200W for lighting these shots, it's likely not enough for the 500 base ISO of this sensor at 1000fps. If they threw a couple of kW more LED lighting (or natural light) onto these shots, I assume the noise would be gone. Of course, that would mean that the noise in the "fire woman" shots is representative of what to expect from the low light performance of the camera. However I'd say that footage can be still used if you grade away the dark areas into black (as one would probably, anyway).
MrBazsi888 I can only speak to the fire spinning footage, but I had a two camera set up with 10mm for the wide locked off and 35mm on a fluid head. F2.8 for both. I switched to a 50mm for a couple shots though.
I´m sure that cam is a very good product, but the reel is unbelievable and incomprehensible crappy: Audio, lighting, examples... Have a look at Gopro or Apple for state of the art.
In all honesty this is quite possibly one of the worst promo videos that we've ever seen from a company that has a product with so much potential. Clearly the people shooting the content for this demo aren't filmmakers. We've seen some really great stuff from this camera from content creators and commercial shooters. Maybe you guys should work more closely with them. We are on the fence about this camera and if not for what we've already seen from the camera, THIS would have turned us away completely. Not very well done.
