Ashikai called it dude. Now we know from the fontaine archon quest that skirk is under a master called the foul, and she says that her master the foul like something like rhinedottir, who are seeking perfection of the world.
Honestly that is one of the most exciting parts of Genshin Impact Story: the fact that we don’t know yet how the story will turn out and thus giving us so much room for speculations. Also I gotta say, that many people don’t even realise how deep the lore goes. I mean all those references to other old stories, legends, languages, etc. that exist in Genshin are just insane.
With how Irminsul can be manipulated it honestly feels like any FACT in this game could quite easily not be LMAO, it's mainly jokes though since Lisa was in her thumbnail :)
My headcanon is that the secret organization diluc is a part of is the same secret society led by rostam 500 years ago. But the idea of diluc joining the hexenzirkel secret network is great too. If you think about it. Diluc's secret organization, kaeya's informants, and venti himself can hear everything from the winds. Mondstadt is actually a giant secret information network lol.
One thing Ashikai didn't mention that's really interesting considering what she DID mention is that Khaenri'ah is a combination of three Arabic words that translate to "Wind Betrayer." Given that she compared the Mad Hatter to Khaenri'ans, and the Hatter was sentence to never-ending tea parties for Killing Time...
Another possible connection to istaroth? That’s the god of time in game rite? I thought they were trapped under enkanomiya or sumn, my memory’ fuzzy in the details. Maybe the reason kheanriah was nuked was because they figured out how to manipulate time in some way, maybe time travel or sumn similar. Maybe even figured out where istaroth was located or tried extracting their power to use in a way?
@@kawansiesquad6659 We don't know what happened to Istaroth, but we read her name in Before Sun and Moon, the book found in Enkanomiya; it was written backwards (possibly a way to avoid Irminsul deletion). All other references to her are titles such as The Thousand Winds, which is reminiscent of how all references to Rukkhadevata changed to "The God of Wisdom/Lord of Dendro." The only other time Istaroth is mentioned is as an annotation in the subtitles for the end of Raiden Act 2 (so this isn't constrained to the laws of Teyvat). But yes, that was the connection I was implying.
26:05 I’ll be honest, going off of lore and how Childe talks about her, I’d been making the connections between Skirk and Scathach, the Shadow and a teacher of many Irish legends, including Ireland’s Child of Light, Setanta AKA Cu Chulainn. Now you might be thinking “But Skirk is a witch, how can Scathach be linked to magic?” But by some accounts Scáthach was also a formidable magician with the gift of prophecy. She also, again by some accounts, became the Celtic goddess of the dead, ensuring the passage of those killed in battle to Tír na nÓg. Add to this how similar Childe is in many respects to the Irish Child of Light (as well as the fact their respective titles both include Child) and for quite some time I’d been convinced that Skirk was a well hidden Scathach reference.
might be a stretch but childe going on a rampage in liyue and getting blamed for the death of rex lapis, the guardian of liyue, could be a reference as well? not to call zhongli a dog
@@katm5458 If Childe eventually becomes Liyue’s protector, then it only confirms my thoughts on the connection between him, Skirk, Cu Chulainn and Scathach
third thing, the witch mentioned in "Hex and hound" could very well refer to skirk. She taught childe foul legacy transformation, it is safe to assume that she can transform too, and probably to a greater extent than childe. And if skirk actually is that witch, maybe one form of hers is suited for witch craft and other for weapon mastery. Who knows. Also, considering the relation that ashikai previously made about skirk being cersei, transforming people she doesnt like into animals. Doesnt this sounds so much similar to hex and hound? maybe that story indeed is about skirk.
Alice refers to Ander's Daughter work "The boar Princess", when she said a " human Taught her the meaning of grief", if you have time read the novel in game, its pretty dark,
Oddly I didn’t even think of Skirk, but I’ve seen theories thrown around that Signora could’ve been a member of the Hexenzirkel - she was given a seat at the table, but disliked being called a witch. I don’t remember how the rest of the theory went but either she was kicked out, or she left by her own volition
[April 9, 2023] I personally think that the Akademiya stopped her from going to the Hexenzirkel (like Lisa), and that she was called a witch due to the destruction she made because of her lovers death.
35:45 Maybe the bottle that Dori was talking about represents the Bottle Land from the event in the version 3.8? It doesn't make too much sense but that's what I thought.
Hi, just putting two and two together. Venti canonically knows all songs to have ever written or will ever exist. And nahida says " what if this entire teyvat is just a giant samsara". So assuming that the entire journey through teyvat and all the events are part of a big loop, and at the end of every loop, the history is erased. But history is preserved in form of songs and ballads, which venti knows. So the reason why venti knows all future songs, is because the songs are about the events that have already happened so many times before, He just happens to know the ballads that have existed in the past, and since those events will repeat, the songs will be written again and again and again.

In before they reveal that Skirk is actually Diluc's mother. Skirk lives in the Abyss, which may explain how Kaeya ended up in dawn winery. She also has connections to the fatui which explains how Diluc's father met her since it is implied that he was a harbinger. Also explains why she helped Childe. And she could be the one who betrayed the hexenzirkel which can explain why she is never mentioned and why there was only 7 chairs.
What really bug me is why her name is Alice? And as Ashikai theorized she could be a descender but descend from what or where? I suddenly remembered old fairy tale about Alice in wonderland going down a rabbit hole. Does that rings a bell? It could be that Alice arrived in Teyvat from the Abyss and Khaenriah was her first stop. It could be true and if it was it will be both amazing and CRAZY!!!

I'm not too great at all the hoyoverse lore, but seeing the description of the urban- oh you know, the tree thing in the video. It made me think of the Imaginary Tree that's talked about in Honkai Impact lore. I wonder if this thing is related to it like part of the root or something?
Bran I hope you see this, I wanted to ask if you have seen Ashikai's video where she has a theory the Hexenzreikel secretly controls the Adventures guild
Oh, yea, this is a very good theory too btw, he watched 2nd part of series, but never have senn him watching that particular one (I'm not on Twitch, so maybe it was not just uploaded to UA-cam, or he did not...)
Also in the story boar princess, a white wolf pup is tainted by a dark squirrel wizard, and it leaves the snowy regions of mondstadt and goes north towards the even more frigid region. The boar princess of mondstadt who is friends with that wold pup, decides to journey with her two trusted advisors, a fox and a turtle. to melt the ice in the wolf's heart. In the end, she reaches the wolf pup, guided by a seelie like creature, who takes some of her life force constantly in exchange for keeping her warm and alive in the freezing tundra(A jinn? like liloupar perhaps?). In order to melt the ice in wolfs heart, the boar princess decides to sacrifice her two trusted advisors, who are closer to her than her own family, to feed the hungry and cold wolf. This is how teh book ends. If this is actually a metaphorical record of irminsul event. Then the wolf pup could be tsaritsa, boar pricness coult be venti...as venti clearly states that he had close ties with tsaritsa before she encased her heart in ice. While he doesnt look like the twisted kind, what if venti is actually trying to lead us to the butcher block for tsaritsa? I mean, the boar princess genuinly thought of her advisors as her family, and yet she sacrificed them. So it is not out of question if someone close to us will stab us in the back. What if its paimon, who is the boar princess, she has even been hinted at betraying us?
38:26 Teyvat is upside down. Guys, guys... remember Skirk when she was talking about Teyvat and that the Narwhal made Fontaine flooded anyway, SHE LOOKED DOWN while talking about Teyvat as surface.
Not only is Skirk a candidate for a witch, but there is ANOTHER Mondstadt witch in their lore: The Blue Eyed Spear Witch. Who was later murdered by one of her spear students after she was falsely blamed for stealing something and her face disfigured as a result. Lisa on the other hand cannot be a member. She has outright stated that she is NOT one of them. Saying she was not interested in having tea parties and just wanted to basically not be bothered with that. The idea that it's Diluc's mom is also quite slim.... As far as I can tell. Nothing has been stated about her, and he very well could have been given that tea set by Alice when she sent him the letter about Klee (which was hidden in another event - So I realize that not everyone would be aware of that letter). As for Skirk... It's possible she might also be a reference of Irish mythos. Scáthach or Sgàthach. She is a figure in the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology. She is a legendary Scottish warrior quees/woman (queen is only in some of the things I have heard her mentioned in, so I am unsure if she was supposed to be a queen, since some stories have not mentioned that) and martial arts teacher... A Teacher who trains the legendary Ulster hero Cú Chulainn in the arts of combat. Trains warriors in combat styles. Sounds familiar. I wont get into all of it, but there are other aspects that makes me consider her for Skirk. That was always what I thought of, when I see anything mentioning Skirk, however, no one seems to have gone there in their theories *shrugs*
Correction to Bran’s idea of Albedo’s instability. The idea that one fears becoming unstable does not make one in and of themselves unstable. Many people fear becoming a bad person, that doesn’t automatically mean they are what they fear, in fact it indicates that what they fear becoming is counter to their moral and ideal self, meaning if Albedo truly fears becoming a danger to others then logically he’s trying to work towards becoming someone he wouldn’t be afraid of. Knowledge of one’s own capacity to do harm does not make one harmful, it’s if someone chooses to do harmful things that makes them harmful. If Albedo is completely aware of his capacity to do harm and chooses not to then I’d say whether out of fear or love that makes him more stable than he himself might believe.
I'm glad Ashikai addressed the Alice is Descender theory. Personally I don't really believe Alice is one since Hexenzirkel is still new and have some kind of immunity to Irmunsul. She could know about the other world from the 3rd descender or looking into ley line memories and that could also make sense
Descender topic is kinda hard one for now, cos we know that MC's sibling is not recognized as descender, but we still can say that he/she is one, cos the records in Irminsul appear from nowhere and then were "encrypted?".... So someone can be a descender, but not be one at the same time, and we do not know how record in Irminsul affects MC's sibling memories, are they immune to mem-changes or not.... So this is very speculative area and makes it a good place for theories and hypothesis...
Other Hex members : literal witch Andersdotter : is probably being called a "witch" by the readers (which includes the actual witch) when they've done The Boar Princess
An additional theory I thought of in bridging the Hexenzirkel and Irminsul and the God of Wisdom is that not only Barbatos, aka Venti, was aware of the Hexenzirkel's Presence in Teyvat, but also the God of Wisdom since she had complete access of Irminsul at any time since she too can manipulate the history recorded there and know almost everyone that exists in teyvat. The theory, concerning my theory bridging the two, is that maybe the God of Wisdom Erased more things and people from existence from Irminsul's History and since no one can dispute or remember those pasts and existing history about them are altered to exclude them, there'd be no telling how many more she erased with no records left. Until I remembered the encrypted history hidden in a story Nahida did for Wanderer's History that Irminsul still remembers. What if there are still records of those past things the God of Wisdom erased just heavily encrypted by her that Irminsul only sees it as harmless stories that do not correlate with the erased history, and no one can tell if it was real since no one remembers it and even the God of Wisdom herself doesn't remember it, unlike Traveler's memory of Scaramouche. This is where I think the Hexenzirkel comes in, since the Hexenzirkel has most likely existed for many many years back to Khaenriah, The God of Wisdom could have possibly given ideas of stories heavily encrypted to the Hexenzirkel, specifically Andersdotter and Nicole, to write as storybooks that can be given to the public but were referencing a part of history she was about to erase from irminsul, and once the story was written, she erased the history about it so it would remain a story than history, just like the encrypted memory Nahida made. This bridges a potential reason the Abyss Order targetted the book from Lisa's Story Quest, that is could contain a potential hidden history that was erased from Irminsul, written by the Hexenzirkel.
My head hurts just thinking about genshins lore. The lore is so mysterious and intriguing that it makes you excited for what's yet to come. 47:33 well litterally at the intro into the game The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles says: "Outlanders your journey ends here" "The arrogation (claim or justification) of mankind end now" so you are not wrong in that. but whether it is to "Save" "Liberate" "Escape" or "Destroy" Tehvat remains the choice in question i guess?

klee an alice seems to be based in the D&D elfs, the elfs of the game are not of majority of age until the 100 years, this is because they recolet all the information of the souls of their whom their souls is made, literally growing in an instant to adulthood, doesnt matter if it just a second later, the person that you where its no longer the same as you are now. Why do i say they appear to be similiar? For how, even if klee is probably 20 years old, still has the mind of a child, in the culture of D&D, the elfs that are under 100 years, are treated as child always and they have the temperament of one, literally its normal for elfs to "Go to different realms in adventure in a form of learning and rebelion" this isnt limitated to the world, but literally any other realm, and considering alice is probably of another world....well, its clear that there is something

The mc twins seemed to have been summoned to Teyvat, and the Abyss twin's first descended location was Khaenri'ah?
Sus
You make me feel sane for playing genshin Bran 😂😂😂 I love your videos man.
Bran did you watch thoery where the fatui secret ex-harbinger was diluc's "delusion wielder " father.
Also even more bluntly on the topic of Alice being from another world is she brought the KFC collab stuff to Teyvat
We need more GENSHIN LORE from bran !!!
Seeing that now 44:50 with the recent AQ, I can say only one thing: N was always present
I'm not too great at all the hoyoverse lore, but seeing the description of the urban- oh you know, the tree thing in the video. It made me think of the Imaginary Tree that's talked about in Honkai Impact lore. I wonder if this thing is related to it like part of the root or something?
Mondstadt is just literally fairy tale land- so many fairy tale references all in one nation djfbgj I love it so much
the moment you can see Bran visibly having his brain broken
Coming here after fountain is a treat
Oh that tea set is also on act 5 fontaine archon quests.
I love seeing you react to Ashikai's videos!
For real tho... Ashikai is straight up dropping forbidden knowledge like King Deshret, is what I truly feel for every video she uploads.
Coming back after the 4.2 story. I don't think it's skirik but Surtaloki instead.
What if its paimon, who is the boar princess, she has even been hinted at betraying us?
as of now, in 4.2 patch , the theory of skirk is not plausible anymore
but guessing she is part of
is already excellent the only difference is, she is successor
38:26 Teyvat is upside down. Guys, guys... remember Skirk when she was talking about Teyvat and that the Narwhal made Fontaine flooded anyway, SHE LOOKED DOWN while talking about Teyvat as surface.
So completing the chess board of King Deshret, The Red KIng, gives us the achievemtn La Luna Rossa, which translates to The Red Moon. Hmm Thinkge
"oh Razor what sharp big teeth you have"
"All better to... Eat with, burny girl"
Me watching this now! Trismegistus!!! OMG ITS ALL LINKED!
Other Hex members : literal witch
Andersdotter : is probably being called a "witch" by the readers (which includes the actual witch) when they've done The Boar Princess
I have went through a whole life time of emotions watching this video. Never thought that would happen before my mid life crisis.
13:5 as a danish person i was so hyped as soon as i heard H.C anderson
After her dodoco comment, Bran seemed to be in physical pain.
Oh I hope you're gonna try more of Ashikai
I from future and I know about little bit about skirk 😅
Failed with the Skirk, but catched The Foul
My head hurts just thinking about genshins lore. The lore is so mysterious and intriguing that it makes you excited for what's yet to come. What the end will be like, and if it'll all makes sense in the end. Genshin gets a lot of hate for the players, but otherwise, genshin is a really good game. Lore wise and gameplay wise. I think genshin is actually an award winning game
It was so good to slowly watch you loose your mind xD
THE FACT I GET A GENSHIN AD INCLUDING THE HEXENZIRKEL ON THIS VIDEO LMAO
23:11
Yea thats not "Germanic" Mythology, thats *Norse* Mythology.
There is a difference.
my brain during the dodoco segment basically gave me a headache :( Klee was my first 5*
47:33 well litterally at the intro into the game The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles says: "Outlanders your journey ends here" "The arrogation (claim or justification) of mankind end now" so you are not wrong in that. but whether it is to "Save" "Liberate" "Escape" or "Destroy" Tehvat remains the choice in question i guess?
I'm in love with your thumbnails xD
my brain cells have been overworked after such a long time
I’m not surprised if Alice is just a PizzaHut worker who got yeeted into Teyvat cuz she does all the PizzaHut trailer voices and she knows stuffs from our culture.
ngl the witch that has 2 personalitys but shares 1 body kinda reminds me of the witch of envy from re zero and i have been feeling like genshin does get some stuff from re zero relating the witches
genshin lore is so damn intricate and thought through, its amazing.
Love ur lore reaction videos, you have such funny reactions lol
I will not give up of my personal idea that Columbina can be from Hexenzirkel
At 9:09 the reason why the j in jötun is pronounced that way is because the Norse pronunciation is just simply like that (same for Icelandic). English is basically the weird one, not Norse (and Icelandic)
Source: I'm Icelandic
22:19 - 22:35 Indeed
I swear Ashikai saw Vampire knight when she said half digested twin 💀
klee an alice seems to be based in the D&D elfs, the elfs of the game are not of majority of age until the 100 years, this is because they recolet all the information of the souls of their whom their souls is made, literally growing in an instant to adulthood, doesnt matter if it just a second later, the person that you where its no longer the same as you are now.
I keep laughing at the chat being sus when the old paintings keep appearing
I want to point out some stuff personaly. paimon is actually the name of one of the kings of hell. now he goes by alot of things as well but one of them is the pale king. sound familiar?
The amount of hermetic in genshin is insane.
38:20 Holy shat... this could be why the Doctor said that the skies of Teyvat are Fake 😮 and could have something to to with the 2 upside-down statues in the game 😮
If Razor is the wolf and Klee is Little Red, does that make Bennett the Huntsman? But in this version, they're all besties?
Yes. More lore.
also anyone notice that nearly all of this stuff was in limited time events for some reason?
41:44 I accidentally spat out my drink when she said 'King Solomon' cuz my last name is literally 'Solomon' 💀💀
Really like your videos Bran...just saying :) Greetings from Germany
Tat red magic ad came like Monday 😂
These theories are so interesting
We are close to 100k subs. Let's goooo!
