Love that. “Threw a rod through the block so cut it off, diverted the oil and kept using it” that’s a bloody top notch skill very few people would have right there Steve!
Awesome morning brother family and friends from another country down under !!!! How are yall doing !!!! My baby son is running a 31 mile marathon and I am waiting for him to finish !!! Another awesome adventure as always brother say hi to everyone for me and have an awesome weekend
@stevesplacedownunder thanks brother he won 1st place out of 46 !!! He did very well thank you brother 🙏🏾 pray yall have an awesome weekend !!! Another awesome adventure with yall as always !!!! Say hi to everyone for me
You got your money’s worth out of that clutch Steve. I’ve had a couple over the years that came out like Cornflakes. Good to have a look at how you adapted her in. 😊
Another great video Steve, got to keep these old girls running, amazes me the engineering that would have gone into getting this from the drawing board into production and always saddens me when they meet their end in the scrap bin, simpler than modern machinery, no ad blue no solenoids micro switches
* Steven you have some big beastly toys ! Good vid buddy ! 👊😎👍 p.s. yeah it sucks about Bevie but what can ya do? It was fate and not your fault buddy. I'm a dog lover too with my little terrier mix Callie. Luckily she would never lay down under a running vehicle. Life goes on mate. Cheers 👊😎👍
It may still be under warranty but I can’t find a Galion dealership to find out. Very easy to get out mate. Have the parts and will be putting it back in next weekend
That clutch disc has sure seen better days! Hope you can get a replacement. I enjoyed the video! You could probably stand a spoon straight up in that coffee that came out of the rad hose...8^) Cheers Steve.
An old timer had one up in the gulf country back in the day he would come to pops station and grade the homestead road after every wet I have not seen many of them
@stevesplacedownunder yeah around Normanton or it might be over Chillago my cousin has it now it doesn't run or hasn't for a long time I don't know the condition of it
Alreet Marra, Glad your thumb is healing well. It was mint the way you done the conversion.👍🏻 But between mates, You're getting old, waistline increasing, hairline decreasing, so you wanted to relive yer youth.... you rooted the clutch doing burnouts, didn't ya?. 😜🤣 Have a good'un, mate.🍺
My mate has a Galion 118 on his farm all still original with a big Cummins in it not the 4v71 they were all known for even found the original sales book for it
Hey Steve. Great content there mate you're doing very well. Sorry to hear about your loss of your other dog that you use to have their mate. The same thing to me as well I lost my other good friend grey tabby cat as well via old age 12 years of age, June 18th, 2024.
Hi Steve Just found your channel and I love all the old stuff. I especially love the old Detroit's as we still run them at work. We have just purchased some trucks at work with road rangers and i see you seem to change them with ease. would you do a video on how to change them with Maby some tips and tricks. Thanks, Rob.
Hi Rob thanks for watching mate. Yes I have had a few requests of how to change gears in one. I was a bit hesitant because of doing it because so many people can do it but seeing how many requests there are I may do one soon.
hi steve you could get a solid centre clutch plate made for it to take the extra power of the toyota engine is the center spline any good they could make a new plate using that spline only a suggestion great videos by the way always look foward to seeing them i have been a subscriber for a long time i worked in the brake and clutch specialist you know more than i do
Hi Peter. Yes mate the bloke that was helping me was in the brake and clutch parts game years ago and still had contacts. He got a bloke to put my hub into a new plate. It looks really good. . Thanks for your support 🙏🙏
Hmm....maybe run a tap through the frame for flange hex head bolts where the bonnet attaches so you do not need nuts on the other side, and make it quicker to remove and replace?
Yeah she’s stuffed ha ha. Now the fun begins, finding out if a replacement exists. I’m sure your going to cop heat for saying you don’t watch Desiree creek anymore, sometimes it’s not he best to watch what others are doing in your chosen hobbies. You often try and copy parts or use similar language because they have more views then you. Or if you’re filming your job like I do the last thing I want to see is someone else doing the same thing or dealing with the same crap I see on a daily basis. I just don’t want to watch that with the limited time I have at home. Great video mate thanks for sharing
I’ve already got the parts mate. A bloke put our hub onto another plate. Will put it back in next weekend. It’s not that’s there’s anything wrong with his channel, it’s just the time I have to watch tv, which isn’t a lot, I’d rather watch and support smaller channels like ours.
hi good job Steve and Offsider, rather rusty cooling system, Oh about other UA-cam channels try Marty T, a Kiwi bloke fixes and saves allot of old Iron from anywhere on South Island. Cheers Pete.
Steve, you know you are getting older when you are taking something apart you put together years back and you might not remember how or why you did something. I know I’m at that point in life.😂
You have misalignment between the engine and gearbox so the clutch plate is acting as a universal joint and breaks at at the weakest spot the cushion springs . I worked for over 30 years in the clutch industry If i can be of further help please contact me..
Another great video mate. I am learning heaps from watching these.
Hello mate and thank you again🙏. I’m glad you are learning something. Thanks as always for watching
Good to see it's nothing major. Just a few serviceable parts and she'll live again!! Another awesome video, Steve!! Thanks for sharing.😀
Thank you Pete. I’ve already got the parts. Had a bloke put my hub into another plate. Hopefully next weekend I can get it back together
Love that. “Threw a rod through the block so cut it off, diverted the oil and kept using it” that’s a bloody top notch skill very few people would have right there Steve!
It’s how it is mate🤣🤣. It worked well for a while. Just had a miss fit is all
Very enjoyable Saturday night viewing 👍
Thank you Jimmy I’m glad you liked it.

Another great video Steve, got to keep these old girls running, amazes me the engineering that would have gone into getting this from the drawing board into production and always saddens me when they meet their end in the scrap bin, simpler than modern machinery, no ad blue no solenoids micro switches
Thanks for watching mate. It was a bit of working out but worked alright in the end. Certainly worth saving it
Another fascinating video, looking forward to part 2..
Coming soon mate thank you 🙏
Hi Mate. I love the new recording gear. The quality is fantastic .. Good job
Yeah it is good. There’s a lot of settings on it which I’m sure will make it better but still good straight out of the box
So let's see here . The clutch and bell housing is a Toyota , international, Galion and Dunbar set up ! Classic workmanship ! 🌵
Yes mate it certainly is. Lots of different parts
Cheers & 🍺 Beers from Ole Steve in Chicago glad to see repurposing that old equipment and putting it to use, keep plugging along love your content
Hi Steve. Yes mate it’s a good one to use and glad I did save it indeed

I wish all engines came out that easy. A nice easy repair if you can find the replacement plate off the shelf.
Yes mate it’s an easy job. Already got the parts. We had a plate made for it and hopefully next weekend I can put it back together
Cheers 👊😎👍
Thank you mate. It was certainly a hard weekend. Still not easy now to be honest. We will get there
Gday Steve, you’d think that clutch would be under warranty still😂, didn’t take long to get the engine out mate, looking forward to part 2, cheers
It may still be under warranty but I can’t find a Galion dealership to find out.
Very easy to get out mate. Have the parts and will be putting it back in next weekend
👍 to vid Steve 😊
Thank you mate.
That clutch disc has sure seen better days! Hope you can get a replacement. I enjoyed the video! You could probably stand a spoon straight up in that coffee that came out of the rad hose...8^) Cheers Steve.

An old timer had one up in the gulf country back in the day he would come to pops station and grade the homestead road after every wet I have not seen many of them
Yeah okay mate. I wonder if it still exists
@stevesplacedownunder yeah around Normanton or it might be over Chillago my cousin has it now it doesn't run or hasn't for a long time I don't know the condition of it

Yeah ok mate. I think they were known for it. Certainly have heard about it before
Too much power out of the 2H you say?
Funniest thing i have heard all day.
That’s all you got out of this episode?
@@stevesplacedownunder Mate i loved it, glad it was just the clutch!
@MrDmjay it was but there’s another drama that caused it that we discovered after filming. I will show it in the next episode
Alreet Marra,
Glad your thumb is healing well.
It was mint the way you done the conversion.👍🏻

Yes I was doing a line locker with it and she let go🤣🤣🤣🤣
My mate has a Galion 118 on his farm all still original with a big Cummins in it not the 4v71 they were all known for even found the original sales book for it
Hi mate that’s good. They are great old machines
You’re lucky that you have the tools and knowledge to be able to do engine swaps like that.
I’m curious what you would swap next
I like doing stuff like this mate and getting it all to work
@ I can see that mate 👌🏼. The only thing I got to work was a carb swap lol
@ it’s a start mate. It’s all learning and gaining skills
@@stevesplacedownunder hey thank you mate.
Yeah I guess that is very true. If dad lets me 🤣. I am very interested in what you would swap into next
Hey Steve.

@stevesplacedownunder same here, my friend. I'm still thinking about my good friend grey tabby cat, too.

good job mate, asbestos lining perhaps??? we used to line them with asbestos linings.
Thank you mate. Yes I’m treating it as asbestos while working on it. I’d imagine it is.
Haha you have just answered my question about the gun.
Yes mate I have it all. Just don’t always use it
hi steve you could get a solid centre clutch plate made for it to take the extra power of the toyota engine is the center spline any good they could make a new plate using that spline only a suggestion great videos by the way always look foward to seeing them i have been a subscriber for a long time i worked in the brake and clutch specialist you know more than i do

Good day Steve, do you ever use impact guns at all?
hi good job Steve and Offsider, rather rusty cooling system, Oh about other UA-cam channels try Marty T, a Kiwi bloke fixes and saves allot of old Iron from anywhere on South Island. Cheers Pete.
Thank you mate. Yes I know his channel well. I wish mine had the attention his channel gets
2h only uses 1 fuel hose, a supply. No return
Also that heater hose, you can block the ends off completely (8:44), like a bung and that
Thank you mate. Yes I probably will just block it off I’d say
Steve, you know you are getting older when you are taking something apart you put together years back and you might not remember how or why you did something. I know I’m at that point in life.😂
Yes mate that’s right. I don’t remember doing some of it.
Only brand that's scarier is Aveling -barford dump truck with cable steering braces 😮

Good grader if you have nothing else. If you learnt on a cat then jumped on this pommie piece of art you will be disappointed.😂😢
