Limiting Reactant Practice Problem (Advanced)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 жов 2015
- A limiting reactant problem where you have to convert back and forth between grams and moles. Limiting reactant or limiting reagent is the first reactant to run out in a chemical reaction, and it limits the amount of product you can make. In this advanced limiting reactant (limiting reagent) practice problem, we will learn how to solve for limiting reactant or limiting reagent when you are given grams of the reactants, and you have to convert to moles. We will see how to determine which reactant is the limiting reactant (limiting reagent), and then calculate how much excess reactant is left over.
you're responsable for half of the worlds deforestation but you teach like a boss so that's ok
Hahahaha. But still, It is really helpful right? HAHAHA
really really helpful hahahaha
NELLI THE KARTMAN hahaha but still he is awesome with his technique of teaching
Responsible
lol that joke man ....
Cannt believe he stopped making videos. I guess he doesnt realize how well he explains stuff. Most teachers dont realize how every student learn differently and just teach the way they think they will understand it. On top of that, they go too fast. But this guy is awesome. Slow and steady, keeping it going. Well rip him i guess.
He actually has a website he uploads on their I believe
I don’t think he made any money off these videos, that’s why
@@lulbhocolate8465 no thats obviously not the case because he doesn't put ad on his videos aka monetize his videos. I believe hes a teacher in real life, and if not he does it for fun (hobby) this guy is great not a money type guy.
@Jirah Supiter yes
Yash Kapoor I think that he’s went through all the chemsitry topics so now he’s done
.The feelings of understanding every step you make in calculations is MORE awesome than just learning the steps
Wanna thank you for making me feel confidence in my chemistry class.
so true man!!
Im just an 11 year old........ Yey

Bro, I agree 100%
I was struggling to understand some concepts in class, then I watched a number of your videos and I aced my exam. Thank you, Tyler! You definitely have the gift of teaching :)
Wait what school you go to?
I usually don't comment on UA-cam videos, but this was a must. The fact that I did this problem without looking at the answer and had the EXACT same answers just made my day (I was so confused that I even got it right lmao). You are an awesome teacher. I watched your videos from beginning to end and I can officially say this is a walk in the park! Thank you. -Struggling Student
@Jirah S yah
Our teacher literally started this off with the advanced ones and left us to figure it out on owr own, and when anyone asks for her help, she'd explain it in a REALLY complicated way, and I just... Im so confused by this lesson even though this video makes it much clearer... I guess I need to practice
My lecture sprints through a mess of problems with no real breakdown or focus on key points. I learn more in your 10-15 minute videos than in my 1 hr 15 min lecture. Thank you very much!

When I went into a bird store, I overheard the owner talked about her chem class and that her professor doesn't explain the difference between an ionic bond and a covalent bond, I then asked for a piece of paper and explained to her. She said what she learned from me in 30 min is what she learned in 2 weeks.
just wanna take a moment to appreciate this godsend for saving us from shitty teachers
I completely agree with that

I am currently in an honors chemistry class and our teacher does not always explain the topics very well, so I find your videos very helpful. I have a stoichiometry test in two days, and a lot of my classmates (and me) were very lost on the subject, so I sent them some of your videos and it helped us a lot. I will hopefully do better on my test thanks to you. :)
Jirah Supiter yes
Ria Santiago dont we all
What did you get on the test
@@flux1168 this was six years ago lol
@@bounce_brown_b5556 yea ik I wanted to see if it helped her lmao
I found out this amazing channel back on 9th grade and now, I am on 11th grade going back to these vids again because I learn more from this channel than listening to my teachers in class.
OME BACK TYLER WE MISS U :,(
You, my friend, deserve a medal. God bless you, man. I owe you several A's and B's on tests that if I had just relied on my Chem teacher I would've probably failed
Could you possibly make a video about Theoretical Yield and % yield?
this is the theoretical yield. its just the amount you get from the limiting reactant.
Guess it's late to answer you, but % yield is the actual yield done by actually experimenting the chemical equation divided by the theoretical yield of the product
@@fermidirac8904 bro thank u I was really confused
I love watching your videos! when my teacher explains, I really don't have a single idea what she is talking about, but when you are the one who explains, I really understand any single word you say. thanks a lot though. 😘 makes me feel that I want you to be my teacher 😂
For real god bless you thank you for teaching me chemistry when my teacher couldn't
Thank you so much Mr Tyler DeWitt, I found your videos so helpful. Keep educating us to supplement our knowledge.

You saved my life for my Chem exam, God bless you.
Cant thank this guy enough for how much I learned from him.
thanks alot for these lesons .. We Arabs students and we benefit a lot from your videos💕💕❤
@Zealous what is wrong with you
@VNMX50 can i be ur friend pls
Man, Tyler is surely a magician of Chemistry. The way he teaches is really fantastic. Thankyou 😄
U ACTUALLY MAKE ME LOVE CHEMISTRY MORE SO THANK U SO MUCH
Hehehe, when I tutor chem, I make it so easy for them. I get rid of their fear of chem.
A Day doesnt go by without me watching at least one of your videos, you just make Chemistry really simple. Thanks a lot.
for some reason I like chem when watching your vid please don't stop what your doing because I fell the next generation is still going to come to youtube one day looking for a vid like this to help them as long as chemistry lives
God bless your existence, I didn't think there was something to help me from not failing my chemistry test tomorrow!
i have Chemistry finals for tomorrow, holy moly, this guy literally saved my life, I have to subscribe to this guy, keep up the good work!!
I'm so thankful I've found your channel! I have a pre-ap chemistry test on this & balancing equations tomorrow! This has really helped me because I was having trouble understanding limited reactions. Thank you so much! You're amazing!
Thank you Tyler for making these videos. You are the reason why I have even an idea about what is going on in my chemistry class.
Ohmygeee. This is really helpful. Too bad I didnt saw it before my examination. Sadly my Prof gave us the lesson after the preliminary exams. Sad
You're videos are saving me! I'm an arts major and I've had to take chemistry in college and learning from you has made me understand chemistry in a level that none of my teachers have been able to do. Thank you!
This is so helpful and makes so much more sense than anything I have been taught in any lecture hall...Any time I have looked for help, all I have found is more information that makes me feel stupid for not understanding. Thank you so much for taking such difficult topics and slowing down to teach for understanding, not just for the sake of teaching!
You're my real teacher, the one I have right now just threw us into this no explanations, nothing
I am 14 and my teacher did one example of this in class and I was really confused but when you explain it I can actually understand the process. Thanks a lot.
You’re helping me so much. Everyone in my AP chem class is smart so they understand concepts in a snap and there’s me who needs a week! Watching your video helps me understand it immediately! My teacher just shows without explaining so I have no idea what he’s talking about. Other students just understand because they had chem while I skipped to AP chem.
So, thank you so much!
At 8:49, he said we have to find the moles of AlCl3, but actually, we have to find grams of Al i.e. the REACTANT and we can see that in the question. SO we do not have to find the grams of AlCl3 left but the grams of Al left. Hope everyone understands the question.
WOW! I take my hat off, for u. thank you. I have been struggling for a month. Thank you Tyler
Just saw a video of you speaking about making science less complicated in high school on ted and I really have to say that you inspire me so much, I'm currently studying as an engineer in Germany and hope to learn some stuff about chemistry from you. Big thanks for such great work, may every student appreciate such a great teacher !
You're the best chemistry teacher I've ever had. no joke
ikr
Just to let you know, your videos are amazing and I'm writing down all my notes based on your videos. Keep it up dude :D Just needed a refresher
you are a genius! we use your videos on biotechnology class, thank you thank you thank you!you make our Chemistry so easy!
You saved my grade man, keep up the good work
Chemistry's golden boy does it again!!!
because of you...i think i can actually pass chem this year!!! thank you SO SO much. you are a gifted human being!!
This was REALLY helpful! Thanks a ton :)
your videos are great!! i honestly understood more from one of your videos more than a month of being taught the same thing with my school teacher, thank you so much!! i hope you'll make a video about yield % soon??
Habibah Arafat yessss ikr about the yield part..& I can definitely relate about the teacher part
same
Thank you so much. Finally after a year I understand what seems to be a pretty simple method. Thank you! XD
My professor talks entirely too fast during lectures that I cannot keep up with writing my notes and understand the concept - THANK YOU for breaking it down and making the concept click. YOU ROCK!
MABUHAY ANG MGA TEACHERS SA UA-cam!!!
seriously, you are great man, I'm going to share your page with millions people on instgram , just because you made me understand 😊.
I literally have chemistry test in 30min and this video really saved my life. THANK YOU!
the best teacher for chemistry
You have a gift of teaching. Thank you!
Thank you for all your videos, i was really worried about my chemistry class, you have boosted my confidence and my grade :)
i just watched your limiting reactant practice problem (basic) video and was able to solve the problem in this advanced video on my own correctly. I double checked my method and answers by watching your solution :) Thanks for making chem understandable!
SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHY THIS MAN DOES NOT HAVE A MILLION SUBS ALREADY.
Your an amazing teacher by the way thank you!
This guy sums up a whole years worth of work in just one day !
6 years later you still the goat
this guy is actually a lifesaver when it comes to studying for tests, wish he did other subjects.
exactly, i wish he made explanations for other subjects to he makes them fun and easier.
these videos are great! keep it up!
Thank you, Tyler, you are such a good interpreter.
You are a savior! I finally understood that the reason I got it wrong the first place is because I FORGOT to convert it back to grams. :D
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
THANK YOU Why are you more effective than my TWO chemistry teachers
I solved it very easily ....... I watched the question ..paused the video....did it by my own, and I got my answer successfully
...THANKS A LOT .....ALMIGHTY #Tyler Dewitt
Wow. This is truly amazing. Your videos have helped me a lot recently, and they are soooo much better than the teacher combined with the textbook. I mean, it's insane! Love ya Tyler
Best chemistry teacher so far in my life
This guy is amazing. Thanks so much for your effort.
Thank you so much for this video, Tyler.
wooow i could even solve more tricky question in my textbook after watching your series my course is now easier pretty grateful thank you sir!
(given the amount of excess reactant remains unreacted and the amount of a product in grams i could found the starting masses of each reactant)
Excellent video sir!! I understood everything about limiting reagents. You cleared all my doubts. At school, my chem teacher is not more than trash. Your teaching style is very easy to understand!! You teach like a teacher should!! Keep up the good work and please please please post more videos!!
إبدااااع الشرح😭😭😭..الحمد الله فهمتتت
Thank you so much; you are literally a lifesaver.
You have a great way of explaining and communicating the information to the student. Thank you for this valuable information and the Arab students have benefited a lot.
You're the best man... Honestly
this is the best chemistry channel on youtube
I went through it before you did and killed it! Thanks :)
I'm definitely not the type to try and study the subjects that i don't like but you're making me study chemistry!!
I can't describe how much this helped me. Thank you so, so much!
while watching your videos your smiles make every thing easier
thanks for the amazing explaining, we can from the first after we found the moles determine the limiting reagent without more steps just looking for the smaller amount of moles that appear
I’m doing so well in chemistry because of you thanks so much!!!
Ughhh thank you so so much. Your videos are literally gold :)
Finaly i understand the topic, keep up with the good content! : )
Instead of opening my book I watch your videos to understand, thank you so much you helped me a lot
the way of teaching is awesome. you can make tough topics easy.
Who else wants him to be their chemistry professor???
This is amazinggg , the way he explains with drawings and everything is clear.Thank you so muchhh
Thanks, Tyler DeWitt! Your videos are extremely helpful. You and Khan Academy are the only reasons I'm passing my Chem 105 class. Secret - I prefer your videos way more. Don't tell Saul ;)
awesome teachings with clear explanations, do upload more videos!
Great video, thank you. It made me able to understand by looking at the question in a different way.
The best Chemistry Teacher !!!!!
That was great . I love this class . Thanks for doing it!!!!
Wordless effort🙃
You deserved to be an impressive teacher🙂
Please PLEASEEE start making videos again. From last 5 years your videos have saved my grade. :(
These videos are honestly amazing my chemistry teacher so bad........ And I just had a test over this and failed.. But reviewing this cause of final:/
You r just great sir. Your videos r easy to understand and to learn. Thank you
Thanx your the best teacher ever. I finally got it
Your videos are so helpful. Thank you so much!
I hope you are a teacher cause you are awesome !!! Thank you so much for making this video. I understand it now!!!!
Even Last 30 second of this video taught me more than what I learned in class
I owe this man so much.
