  • This is how I individually wrap and package my hot cocoa bombs to friends and family. The cookie tin can be found at The Dollar Store, and they have other types of inexpensive storage options. We'll then pack the tins into a larger box, and I usually go with USPS, so I'll go over which boxes to use.

    I packed 4 bombs in a small cookie tin with marshmallows
    then I added shreds to the top of my bombs between the bombs and the tin top
    closed the top and shipping taped the top very securely to the tin.
    I mailed it in a small box I reused
    packed it with lot of paper and shipped
    It reached its destination in PERFECT CONDITION

    Hi! Just a quick question 🙋🏻‍♀️ how long do you think the chocolate stays good for ? 30 days?

    • @Sugarologie
      @Sugarologie  3 роки тому

      So if you use dehydrated marshmallows and wrap them in foil real tight, I imagine they will be good for at least a couple weeks. I like to think about a chocolate bar... those stay ok in a cool and dry place for much longer, so you should be good.

    • @Sugarologie
      @Sugarologie  2 роки тому

      Candiquik is a type of coating chocolate, just like Ghiradhelli and Mercken's, which I use in all my vids. Those have a higher melting temp (more stable for shipping) than real choco, but they will still melt at some point.

      @Sugarologie  3 роки тому +2

      Not sure where you're located, but I use USPS priority mail, which is 2-3 days in transit. Most of the time they've been excellent - I recently got a package from New York (and I'm on the West Coast) in less than 48 hours. Cost for USPS varies, $8-22 per flat rate box, depending on size.

    • @joyherting3705
      @joyherting3705 3 роки тому

      I use the flat rate boxs at post office, they have 4 sizes. You can pack that thing full, as heavy as you want but I do use packing tape to secure . I get some of each size so I can match the goodie to the box better, I found out recently that you can go online and they will bring them to you.

    Hey guys! I STRONGLY advise you to NOT mail your bombs like this. Trust me! I followed this method and the bombs are more susceptible to breaking. I would use these tins for gift giving in person. And package your items for mailing in plastic containers with lots bubble wrap, peanuts or other packing items. Do NOT depend on these tins to protect your bombs especially during this time of year. Mailers are rough and it doesn’t work. Let my losses be your lesson. Happy holidays!

    • @Sugarologie
      @Sugarologie  3 роки тому

      I mailed 6 packages out this way from coast to coast last week via USPS...just took a day longer than normal transit time. I think the key is to ensure that you surround each bomb with paper securely inside each tin, and then surround/wrap every tin with a sufficient amount of bubble wrap to cushion and restrict the entire tin's movement within the box.
      But you're right, plastic containers would work as well, so long as they were hardsided and not flexible 👍🏼
