I'm trying to replace my Samsung A5 (2017) which has just been an incredible phone. But no updates since 2020, just recently cracked the screen and USB port is defective. But, dang, going from a 5.2 screen to 6.5? I have tried all the Ulefones, Umidigi and Blackview from Amazon and both the Ulefone and Blackview had better reception than my Samsung when it came to data but had other problems. So still stuck with my A5 for now. The price in Canada, so far, for the Samsung A14 5G is showing $329.99 but won't know for sure. But Motorola Play (2023) is $279.99 on their website and $219.99 for the 2022 model.
The Samsung a13 5g is at a very good price right now. The screen is not as good as the a14,but storage and processor are the same. Cameras are very similar.
Having replaced my S4 Mini with an A7 four years ago (and still using the device today) I would recomment you to not let a good phone pass you by because it is big.
I recommended not to buying the Motorola g play 2021 if you are a gamer on your phone I have this phone right now and I am getting the A14 but the decision is up to you I am not hating on Motorola.
Me as a Motorola user as of the moment I have a Motorola g play 2021 and I got this phone back in 2021 when it was pretty brand new. I am buying the A14 it is in the mail on the way and I am super stoked about it I just hope I will like it and my games on Roblox will run better than on my Motorola g play 2021 Isle of Motorola as of right now I'm not saying they are bad but I just want the games that I like to work on my phone and that is just one thing that my Motorola is not doing
The a 14 is an amazing phone for the price I currently have the moto g at 2023 but I had a14 when it first came out on boost mobile there both great phones for the price I honestly like the moto a little bit better either way whichever you get will be worth it imo

I am getting a a 14 in the mail but for the moment I have a Motorola g play 2021 by used to have the a21 but then I jam the SIM card into it by accident and had to switch back to my Motorola my brother is getting the a23 and I watched a recent video on which was better and I believe from what I remember the A14 won the debate I'll show the a23 is a bit older than the A14 the A14 was released on January 13th 2023 I believe and the a23 is a bit older although I really wanted the s23 my mom could not afford it so I'm really looking forward to a good working a 14
The Moto G Play will only get 1 year of OS updates (is it really an update if this 2023 device starts on Android 12?) and 2-3 years of bimonthly security patches.
I do love Motorola - but I think this phone was a Mistake - because they put in the Slowest Processor - making Everything you do with this phone - Ridiculously SLOW - just to keep the price at $169... Giving the Buyer an Awful Experience Everyday.....

If you get it outside of the US, you get the Exynos 1330. The Dimensity 700 is the inferior processor though, and is probably slightly more expensive because they don't make it, but then again the Dimensity 700 is like 2 years old now so I'm not 100% sure.
I've had both. I get either one for Free every month from us cellular by just starting a new 40 dollar prepaid plan. Just have change my phone number. Galaxy is way better mainly because when I watch videos in the tractor I can't see the dark screen on the moto.
I probably have about 7 galaxys and 2 Motos. The galaxy use to come with an external battery so I never had to charge my phone I just switch out charged batteries. I have 5 batteries. Only reason I tried the moto one month is because they both have internal batteries now. Us cellular prepaid plan 40 dollars no other fees use John doe as your name either phone is free

Last year's model was actually called the G Pure, the one before that was the G Play.
Motorola G Play (2023) has about 2/3 of what you'd want, except it's not 5G (I'm guessing Motorola will offer up a 5G equivalent later this year) 🤔
