Cool videos. Just hit Cherokee (luftee) cades cove (abrams) and Townsend (little river) this week. My gf and I watch a lot of your videos since I am from Pittsburgh area. Cool that your videos were kind of a guide and we just missed you. Love the videos and commentary. Try to keep your knuckles off the ground with that spinning stick 😂 tight lines bro
I caught a beautiful 16" Brown there a couple of years ago....cave man style 😅. I saw that they weren't hitting anything unless it top water. I didn't have anything but spinning gear. I tied on a fly and it out there with a bobber.....😮 fly .....strike indicator or whatever 😅. It worked. I didn't keep him . I normally do , but it was the most beautiful fish I've ever caught and hooked perfectly.
If you really want to draw the ire of purist fly fisherman, use a nymph with a small split shot with your spinning rod and reel. Works well on small water where there is too much vegetation to use a fly rod. In this situation you are using the spinning rod as a cane pole.
I enjoy fishing for and appreciate each, but Brownies are my favorite for two reasons. 1.) they can adapt to more watersheds and reproduce naturally (at least in the Mid-Atlantic/Northeast where I'm from) and 2.) they can grow to pretty good sizes even in smaller streams (again where I'm from specifically). I'm sure if I was from the Pacific Northwest I'd love rainbows/steelheads or if I was from northern New England maybe it would be brookies.
if you ever make it back this way, you have got to hit the elkmot rd (Little River head waters). great fishing there!

Downsize your tippet to a #7 or #9.

Shame on you using a spinner you even know that you have to jerk the rod tip to get the blade turning
Shame on me? Strange language for a fishing video...
why do you like wild brown trout over wild rainbow trout or the native specie Brooke trout
