@@JMW824_ Kofi winning the title off him was needed, as it was a nice bookend to the B+ player storyline that started the Yes Movement. But it would've been nice for Bryan to have continued on indefinitely as a heel. Heck, he could've continued to call himself "The Planet's Champion" even after losing to Kofi.
Back in 2008 Danielson turned heel in wXw by simply shouting "Cut the music!" right before the "It's the final countdown!"-part of his theme song. The fans were so angry. It was brilliant.
Sometimes being a heel necessitates knowing what the fans want (especially when you know they need that certain something the most) and not giving it to them.
Christian is wondering around the place, he should hang it up what’s he got left to prove he’s done it all except defeat concussion but then again that hits harder than his release from WWE
Danielson is THE BEST. Period. As a wrestler, as a character, as a storyteller, he is top notch at everything. You can put him in just about any role and he will deliver above and beyond.
I think it was more the random losses to Jericho that derailed him. He could have been Moxley's buddy AND someone who can be training young talent/being a top guy, but they kinda derailed his momentum
I know!! Heel Bryan danielson was the best thing on AEW here! This promo is one of my favs of the entire company it’s amazing! He was a promo machine during this little run
Danielson can use a turn of phrase or vocal tone to convey the Heel part. Just the tiniest thing. Danielson can be the most loveable child or evil Caillou so effortlessly. That acting skill is top notch. Hangman was so beloved that Danielson knew he had to be the heel.
This is why Bryan is one of greats of this time. The man knows the secret formula on how to get the whole crowd & world to love him to bits, but also can go vice versa & have them hate him. Reminds me of Eddie Guerrero’s crowd work when he was in his prime. Something either you got or you don’t.
I appreciate you holding a pen like it's a mic, and adding the subtitle explanations for each scene you're showing. Shows you have a mind for production. Keep practising in public!
@@romxxii The heels in AEW do, because to most AEW fans WWE is viewed as a heel promotion. It's the same exact reason why MJF mentions and praises WWE on AEW TV, and then gets booed for it and why AEW fans will cheer for MJF, and immediately boo him when he mentions WWE or anyone from WWE including Cody. Also, keep in mind WCW always mentioned WWE when WCW was #2 and WWE was #1, and like wise, WWE mentioned WCW all the time when WCW was #1 and WWE was #2. Just like how the UFC used to mention Pride when Pride was #1 and UFC was #2, and Strikeforce used to mention UFC when they were #2 and UFC was #1. See the picture...Same thing in sports. When the Pats were #1 in the AFC East, they never mentioned the Bills, Jets, or Dolphins, but those teams would always mention the Pats. Hell, even ECW used to take shots at WCW all the time when ECW was #3 and WCW was #1. Sometimes they'd even take shots at WWE, but that was less often because Vince was financially supporting ECW at times because Heyman is like family and has been working for the WWE and Vince Sr and Vince JR on and off since he was 13.
You are absolutely correct. This heel turn was kinda out of the blue. Bryan had only been in AEW for a short time and was a heavy face. But as soon as he wanted to be a heel we all booed him immediately and it felt natural and not a forced turn like so many we have seen in AEW. This promo really is a master class in turning heel
bro, when you said "I was there" i halfass expected you to say "In chicago, 98, for the last dance, I covered them" like skip says in every goddamned video
Bryan learnt to be a effective heel from Vince. He spoke about it on Steve Austin show. He'd been heel before but he said he never understood heat until Vince taught him. He spoke about how Vince said people who hate him for being Vegan and he thought it sounded ridiculous but it worked.
He's always been pretty good in the mic actually. No Rock level but he's up there for sure. And his ring work backs it up to. Just a great wrestler and athlete all around.
Why do people think we love MJF so much dude can literally do more damage to you in a promo then a whole match and even if you are the babyface the crowd is going be cheering him not you
The fact that people hate CM Punk irl is enough to convince me that he’s a better heel. Bryan is a better good guy and will always be seen that way whether people boo him or not.
I can say that I 1,000,000% agree with this to me he has always been the quintessential heel anytime he becomes one and his baby face turn back is just as perfect
That heel turn lasted 6 weeks and they’ve done nothing with him since. If AEW wants to fix that they have the BCC turn on Moxley and led by Danielson while Moxley becomes the lone wolf heart and soul of AEW
I mean through the majority of Bryan's early career he was a heel. He didn't really have a massive babyface push until he hit the WWE. I mean people loved him back in ROH but he was never a babyface character.
I was in the crowd for this. I was amazed how effective he got everyone cheering him during his entrance to boo during his segment.
I was there too! Great show
I was there as well. Floor seats
Ditto we turned on a dime so fast haha. The no chants were hype
I was there too
@@rickeyking4233 same ring side seats
Bryan's heel turns are really something. I still love his "The Planet's Champion" run, down to the eco-friendly, vegan world title.
Yeah that was great
That planet champion run ended too soon. He was in his bag.
His planet champion gimmick was my favourite thing he ever did.

This was breathtaking. Bryan Danielson turned the audience against him faster than MJF did after all out

Nobody is going to mention how he's using a sharpie as a microphone?
Basically everyone every time he posts a video: "Nobody gonna talk bout how he uses a sharpie as a mic?"
@BabyJoker 899 it is pretty weird though, not everyone watches his vids so ofc they're gonna comment about it lmao. Bitter af for no reason
You just did.
Prototype sharpie mic tm
Leave his gimmick alone.
Good heels: boast about themselves
Great heels: excuses for everything at every turn
And he was so articulate with the points that he made which was disarming if you wanted to just get mad at him. He really knows what he’s doing man.
Danielson is THE BEST. Period. As a wrestler, as a character, as a storyteller, he is top notch at everything. You can put him in just about any role and he will deliver above and beyond.
And it's all been wasted in AEW
Man we need your channel to blow up I fuck with a lot of your view points
Heel Bryan Danielson is an incredible thing. It's a shame they killed all his momentum by making him Moxley's sidekick for six months.
I think it was more the random losses to Jericho that derailed him. He could have been Moxley's buddy AND someone who can be training young talent/being a top guy, but they kinda derailed his momentum

Bummer.

That acting skill is top notch.
Hangman was so beloved that Danielson knew he had to be the heel.
Evil Caillou? Nah, you mean teenage Caillou. Lmao
Hangman is a Virginia guy, so this was essentially his home town show.
I hate lovable children
All he had to do was chip away at you with these small biting remarks that seem inconsequential but are enough to get under your skin.
One of the only guys that actually get wrestling and loves to do it and is one of the best at it
Yeah Brian and CM punk are what AEW needed. From all accounts they are very helpful to other wrestlers backstage.
This deadass was fire as fuck though, watching it live and not expecting it. Shit was so damn great and effective
Ah yes. The sharpie-57. An absolute must, in modern recording microphones.
Why is the sharpie the microphone. Why use anything?
Thanks for the intro. I wouldnt have been able to understand the video tittle and the text on the screen without you showing up and explaining.
I still don't get what this video is about, I need further explanation
In the words of Jorge Masvidal, "it was super necessary"
Bryan has an excellent natty physique.
Bryan understands wrestling to a very high level so I think he can do this easily. He was a great heel in ROH and WWE prior
Whether heel or face, BD steals the show and hearts every time!!!! He's one of my favorite wrestlers of all times!!! ♥️♥️♥️
"When I won the World Championship at Wrestlemania," that must be a fun sentence to be able to say.
I was all for it but at the same time he almost seemed to go back and fourth from face to heel which I kinda dig for some reason 😂
Tweener Brian is the best Brian
Ever notice Bryan always comes out of the heel tunnel?
This is why Bryan is one of greats of this time. The man knows the secret formula on how to get the whole crowd & world to love him to bits, but also can go vice versa & have them hate him. Reminds me of Eddie Guerrero’s crowd work when he was in his prime. Something either you got or you don’t.
Daniel is a great heel , i’ll never forget is WWE heel run one of the best ones ever
"that's not cowboy shyt....thats coward shyt" is still the greatest line in aew history
No not really said by a lil bitch who ran behind a locked door. Never was on the punk train.
I appreciate you holding a pen like it's a mic, and adding the subtitle explanations for each scene you're showing. Shows you have a mind for production. Keep practising in public!
Naming wrestle mania is crazy
It's AEW, they name drop WWE once every five minutes.

bro, when you said "I was there" i halfass expected you to say "In chicago, 98, for the last dance, I covered them" like skip says in every goddamned video
Well explained and you’re right. That’s the difference with a worker and a wrestler.
I’m so glad he signed for AEW, there’s so much he can get away with now that would never fly on an episode of smackdown.
You’re speaking big facts on this
Bryan learnt to be a effective heel from Vince. He spoke about it on Steve Austin show. He'd been heel before but he said he never understood heat until Vince taught him. He spoke about how Vince said people who hate him for being Vegan and he thought it sounded ridiculous but it worked.
Ppl like Danielson are effective heels because they know how good they are. He's from the same cloth as Angle, Michaels, Flair and them.
Oh I love your analysis and I love this moment
You can’t go wrong insulting the audience like Curt Hennig did. Classic heel heat.
I’m more so confused as to why this guy is pretending his sharpie is a microphone…
This could've been his best run as an ass kicking heel, but TK doesn't ever know what he has in front of him.
This was when Danielson was gold and then John Moxley had to put him in his stable and now he lost all of that
Christian and Danielson being assholes is always so fun to watch.
Agreed, not a Danielson fan, but this made me like him just a little bit. Grey heel turn
That’s why Bryan is the best
I loved that segment
Bryan might be best of all time at this.. he is so clever and aware
Bryan Danielson should open his own wrestling school that includes the art of the promo as well as teaching holds and having matches
Daniel Bryan is so good I don’t look at him as a heel tho I feel he is a baby face with more attitude
Psychology is still the real art of the show
I couldn't even boo Daniel he was spitting facts
Why I'd this guy talking into a sharpie marker like it's a 🎤? lol
I love the obvious nature, of this channel; and act as if it’s revolutionary stuff
This guys way better than Walt Clyde
He's always been pretty good in the mic actually. No Rock level but he's up there for sure. And his ring work backs it up to. Just a great wrestler and athlete all around.
Nah the fact that he name dropped Wrestlemania and WWE is crazy
Bryan Danielson is an all time classic wrestler.
He knows the basics
Heel promo Bryan just spoke facts for a minute straight
This is the difference between great wrestler and legends. 💜💜🙏🙏💪💪🔥👏👏😊😊😎😎
"who likes virginia" bro i live here🗿
Dbry is truly an all time great
This Video was so good, I simply liked and subscribed.
Classic Ric Flair cowboy boots and jeans attack. Love it. Oh yeah, dropped the S word, live on tv. Lol
Danielson done made like 3 amazing heel tint s in the last six months cuz we love him that much 😂
THIS!!!!!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Even I found it amazing that bryan danielson did it in a very nice way.
Noted when I'm gonna start wrestling I'll do this thank you so much for the advice 😎😍
Remember his vegan wwe title belt? Bryan is easy to love or hate. He's that good
Danielson should have won the title from Hangman.
How to effectively turn heel: talk positively about your WWE days
Brian Danielson is the man 🙏🔥🔥🔥💯
Yea Hangman should certainly take notes
He actually just got his ass beat until The Shield saved him 😅
Daneil bryan heel is somthing you will never see elsewhere
I love your perspective on wrestling bro!
Why do people think we love MJF so much dude can literally do more damage to you in a promo then a whole match and even if you are the babyface the crowd is going be cheering him not you
B-Dan/D-Bry one of the best of this generation imo
Bryan told zero lies
And that was Bryan Danielson’s high point in AEW. Went all down hill from there
He is the perfect tweener
He so effectively made a situation here you'd get "both these guys chants" to making his opponent the hero.
Crowd was like Bryan turning heal it time to boo him
Bryan Danielson is naturally a face imo but damn he's an underrated heel
We need more wrestlers like Danielson in general dude is awesome
I love this, its like he took the Jake Roberts School of Promos to Heart.
i was there for this. absolute perfection 😭
The fact that people hate CM Punk irl is enough to convince me that he’s a better heel. Bryan is a better good guy and will always be seen that way whether people boo him or not.
Correct‼️💯 I've been in professional wrestling for over 20 years & that was solid.
Danielson is one of the only reasons I watch and enjoy aew. I also like the fact that he doesn't have to include/bash wwe in his promos
That's not Bryan being effective. That's hangman being over as face.
That's why the goat man is the GOAT
He actually didn't say any heelish comments in that promo.
Turned heel and he didn’t even need a steel chair
He's the planet champion remember I wish he would bring that title to aew and use red beard as his backup 💯💯
Aye man. Leave VA outta this. 😂
I can say that I 1,000,000% agree with this to me he has always been the quintessential heel anytime he becomes one and his baby face turn back is just as perfect
Where can I find one of those microphone pins?? 😅😅

Meanwhile MJF: Shows up
That heel turn lasted 6 weeks and they’ve done nothing with him since. If AEW wants to fix that they have the BCC turn on Moxley and led by Danielson while Moxley becomes the lone wolf heart and soul of AEW
That’s a pen, not a microphone. Took me about 3 watches to figure that out.
