I rewatch this promo from time to time. I'm someone who also deals with anxiety and depression. And Hangmans promo here isn't just a wrestling promo. It's an example. Saying the medicine isn't working first off shows he's someone who may be on antidepressants, when we'd think people successful big like him wouldnt deal with that or take those. He lists his hardships his losses in family, which can break someone. But he also mentions his successes, firstly as a wrestler getting to become champion. But more importantly with family as a husband and father. It shows that he's been through things can be in the trenches, and how hard that can be some days. But it also shows you can still go on, you can still achieve and have good and put good into the world despite it.
When he said "the medicine is not working but I'm still here because I AM A MAN!" You can see Jon give a brief acknowledgement through his facial expression, that was a top promo.

It was just him pouring his heart out to the world, acknowledging his failures and his issues, while stating how he still fights off everything that's thrown at him no matter what cause he has to. Awesome all-time promo from Hangman here. I was in the crowd last night and man that place was RED HOT all night. I hope the lively Canadian crowd being excited to see MJF for the first time didnt ruin this promo. Hangman really did a great job redirecting the attention. Maybe having MJF's live Canadian debut, in the middle of this promo, in front of a hot crowd like this probably wasnt the best idea. But Toronto loves the anxious millennial cowboy! Hope Mox is ready for for some Cowboy shit.
I'm glad honestly, other faces would have been buried having someone like that in the background after cutting a promo like that but hangman really reeled it back in with that one line A smart way to recognize what the crowd is shouting for and at the same time put the attention back to what's happening in the ring.

this was such a godly promo from Page man. there's always these moments where he delivers 100% on certain promos, Omega, Danielson, Cole, Punk. there's always one promo where Page gives it everything, this is no exception. I love the Elite reference, because the crowd immediately caught it, and you can tell it wasn't disrespectful booing, they were likely pro-Elite on the situation. and Page being the first man to bring the EVPs up in ANYTHING since the suspension is crazy. btw Mox's reaction to it says it all. frustration, but he gets it. man this promo was fan-fucking-tastic. also the small detail of Hangman punching himself to slightly bleeding and he just wipes it on Mox's shirt. beautiful and it brought me back to the whole "contract signing in blood" during his and Omega's contract signing segment last year.
This might just be the best promo of 2022 and the bar is amazingly high! I like Hangman, but now I want him to go on another World championship run, it doesn't have to be next week, but setting this story up is soooooo good!

Ex GF was being a loonie bin before heading off to work, and being overly theatrical i demonstrated frustration by pretending to punch myself ....in the exact same spot Hangman did ... But at the time i was wearing my late grandfather's gold ring with an oval shaped Black Onyx stone imbedded in it...and it was the peak of the curve of the stone that connected with my forehead above the eye. Seconds later i had a golf ball sized goose egg. 30 min later i smoked a joint..took a nap. Woke up idk how much time later, and just projectile vomited all over, and collapsed in a literal puddle of my own persperation. I cannot remember if i even went to the hospital or not. I did have roommates that were there and took care of me in the moment, but other than remembering that they were there, i remember nothing else. Crazy how 1 little knock on the head can ruin everything.
I gotta say hangman kinda left Moxly speechless after that promo, he's probably the first person I've ever seen do that to a master of promos like Mox.

I hope the lively Canadian crowd being excited to see MJF for the first time didnt ruin this promo. Hangman really did a great job redirecting the attention. Maybe having MJF's live Canadian debut, in the middle of this promo, in front of a hot crowd like this probably wasnt the best idea. But Toronto loves the anxious millennial cowboy! Hope Mox is ready for for some Cowboy shit.
I'm glad honestly, other faces would have been buried having someone like that in the background after cutting a promo like that but hangman really reeled it back in with that one line

Back to the middle of the card where he belongs. There are too many guys more deserving of a run than him. This company needs to get the belt off Moxley ASAP, and strap themselves onto the rocket that is MJF, before they miss their chance.

this was such a godly promo from Page man. there's always these moments where he delivers 100% on certain promos, Omega, Danielson, Cole, Punk. there's always one promo where Page gives it everything, this is no exception. I love the Elite reference, because the crowd immediately caught it, and you can tell it wasn't disrespectful booing, they were likely pro-Elite on the situation. and Page being the first man to bring the EVPs up in ANYTHING since the suspension is crazy. btw Mox's reaction to it says it all. frustration, but he gets it. man this promo was fan-fucking-tastic.
also the small detail of Hangman punching himself to slightly bleeding and he just wipes it on Mox's shirt. beautiful and it brought me back to the whole "contract signing in blood" during his and Omega's contract signing segment last year.
This might just be the best promo of 2022 and the bar is amazingly high!

Seconds later i had a golf ball sized goose egg.
30 min later i smoked a joint..took a nap.
Woke up idk how much time later, and just projectile vomited all over, and collapsed in a literal puddle of my own persperation.
I cannot remember if i even went to the hospital or not. I did have roommates that were there and took care of me in the moment, but other than remembering that they were there, i remember nothing else.

I may not be a husband or father, but I still relate a lot to what he’s saying. I’ve been left with nothing before. I’ve seen family members lowered into the ground. Both my parents gone before I turned 30. I struggle with anger, frustration, anxiety, depression, sleepless nights, exc.
