GoPro 8 Comparison Video to previous Action Cam - Ray Hayden, J.D.

Ray Hayden here, this video is shot with the GoPro 8 in 4K. The action cam in the previous review claimed to be 4K 60FPS capable, but it seemed pretty clear to me that it was not.
In looking and listening to that video, it might not be as bad as I originally thought, but the other issues kill the deal on that camera.
I require the ability to use EXTERNAL microphones AND External Power at the same time. The problem with GoPro is the proprietary dongle... no other equipment will work with GoPro that I have found, and it is stated that GoPro does indeed have proprietary coding in their equipment to prevent other equipment from working with it.
I find that to be depressing, because I had acquired, and had to get rid of, a lot of video equipment over three decades because of proprietary issues... it makes things unrealistically pricey.
If you want to keep the money, make your product at a FAIR price. This being the current situation, for any future camera requirements, I will be looking for equipment that meets my personal needs, and offers open source solutions.

Thanks Ray . I've long questioned some of these companies quality claims when it comes to video resolution . And not just the manufacturers but also video providers .
