Hiboy has one of the best single motor scooters on the market. And customer support is top top notch. I have three hiboy scooters. And never had one problem with anyone of them.
I live in NYC as well, I like riding the bike lanes in Manhattan, although the ones on the roads you gotta watch out for aggressive drivers, cars that park in bike lanes, and commercial trucks that block bike lanes. My favorite though is in lower manhattan going over the Williamsburg bridge into Williamsburg and then into bushwick/bedstuy where I live. I just ordered the Max Pro so I am excited that I will now be able to expand my trips above the 10-11 miles my current scooter limits me too.
Awesome video. I just ordered 2 Hiboy Max Pro scooters like this one on the video from hiboy can’t wait to have them delivered by FedEx. I originally bought the S2 Pro series . I returned those after learning that this Max pro by Hiboy was out way better scooter no comparison 👍🏼💯
Despite owning 2 other scooters that go up to 50mph, this scooter is still a blast to ride. It was my first scooter. I bought it because I had a GoTrax before that, but I needed a suspension system because of the nyc potholes and bumps. Like you said, it eats up the road VERY well! Ride on brother ~~
Nice review. Did the battery just run out at the end or could it just not make it up the hill? Is it throttled in any way once it hits a certain charge percentage? I heard the Max G2 cuts back on output once you hit 50% or so. That is why I do not want that one at the moment.
Just ordered mines today. I was taking lime scooters around my area to go grocery shopping & getting dinner time to time. It’s getting costly. My cars transmission went out recently but it’s getting replaced. Having this scooter is going to help so much to get around in the area I live in so I can save gas & not put more miles on the car. I wish I ordered it beginning of summer time so I can ride it to work & public transportation.
I almost got this scooter! But $750. Instead for $430 I got the KS4 Pro model… 19mph. I didn’t think the extra $300 for just an extra 2mph was worth it.. altho the added shocks are cool… lastly I don’t know how to change a scooter flat lol so KS4 Pro has solid tires.
@@JB360_NYC once I learn how to ride this thing.. I might just give it to my son for his 12th bday & get me a scooter that does 25mph for under $1k. I’m sure they exist
Stuck between this and the Ausom Leopard, which is on sale for $699 right now, and the Hiboy Max Pro is $650. Leopard is MUCH more powerful but a lot heavier. I like the Hiboy but not sure it will carry by 260lbs up hills very well.
It's rated as IPX4 which is durable for light rain. Don't bring this out during a monsoon lol. Also, if you are using the scooter pretty often, I would keep it standing so you can just grab and go.
Customer support told me they don't even sell brake replacements and can't even tell me what kind I need. I'm never buying from this company again. The support is horrible and they don't know their own product.
My Hiboy MAX Pro is locked using the app and now I cant unlock it. The Bluetooth sign on the scooter is blinking, there is also a lock icon and a P being shown on the screen. I cant even see the bluetooth name on my phone anymore. Hiboy should come up with a solution for this big problem!! This actually makes the product useless!
good to see you on a scooter man, love the review. That intro broll footage was👌🏼 . My stance is opposite lol. I'm regular on the scooter and I'm goofy on my eboard/ skateboard. I've never actually taken one of these smaller commuter scooters around town. I only did one short ride with my Xiaomi before I sold it to get the Mantis 10. I did love how nimble it was and how you could really duck and weave through tight spaces like you did lol.
Unprofessional customer support. Last week I bought #Hiboy_Max_Pro just seeing its mind blowing descriptions on their website. They said it will go up to 46 miles. But in actual case, it is not going beyond 20, even 20 is tough. When I contacted them, they didn’t respond to anything. Very disappointing.
I can't tell if he was sent this for free and paid to say good things about it or if he really did research and decided this was the one he liked the most for under $1k 🤔 No offense, it's just legit hard to tell.
No offense taken! This was a review model but the opinions are all my own and I still think it's a solid scooter. I do wish it was a bit faster (would've preferred 25mph+) but some people just like something to get from point A to B. Not for everyone but there's still a market for it especially with that price point.
Just picked it up for my 16 year old son for $635 to commute to work and back (5mi round trip) he’s 170lbs I think after watching a few reviews it was the right choice.
Edited** I wanted to get this scooter. 🛴 yesterday I just sold my car but with the money I made from that I got the ninebot max instead, took that whoe for a ride today and ended up falling in love with her ❤ but when I get paid again on the 1st of October I’m eathier gonna get this Hiboy or the Okai Ultra as a second scooter 🛴 gotta have at least three in your arsenal. I also just sold my ES4 today.

@@mccl5150 thanks! Yea it just didn't have the power to make it up as I was running at about 30 percent battery.
can you do a review on the new hiboy x300?
Awesome review. I just ordered 4 hiboys scooters for the family lol
Are they good any problems ?
Just got one! Do you know how to mod the LEDs on the side so they glow firey orange instead of red to match the rest of the scooter?
Didn't know that was possible. I'm sure the HiBoy Facebook community knows!
I believe the LEDs they use on the scooter are specifically made to be red, there are no color options unless you change out the LEDs entirely.
Really Great scooter. And the little brother is the best single motor scooter on the market. That's the hiboy s2max. Nice review.
Thanks for this. Just ordered one--they are having an Amazon Prime day special!
What’s your weight? 21 miles in sport mode seems pretty good.
I'm 200 pounds. During the range test I also did have fairly heavy items as well like laptop and camera equipment.
Some of the other scooters have the option to start it without the kick start does this one too ?
@@MyNameIsMyname13 ad far as I know the Max Pro keeps it as a safety feature
@@JB360_NYC thanks

@@JB360_NYC I have the Segway-Ninebot ES4 it gets 28 miles capable and 18 in (RW) conditions, but this one seems better built I wanna upgrade to it

Yea if you're riding hills I would definitely opt for the Ausom for that power, can't go wrong with the price as well 👌🏻
Please be careful with the lock feature. When you leave connection range I've heard people can permanently lock their hiboy scooter.
I wonder what the range is? 🤔
You’re a great driver 👍I’m sold on it I’m buying one
Tires not tubeless and is not self-healing/flat-proof?
@@xFreyelis these are the solid honeycomb tires so they don't have tubes.
@@JB360_NYC does it get flats? I was seeing reviews of it getting flat tires often, but you say they're solid tires now, did they update the model?
Nope. Tires have an inner tube. They are not tubeless.
It sucks that you have to push to start it at every stop. Is there no way to turn that off?
@@uberpekes yea it's kinda annoying. You would probably have to disengage one of the wires from the controller
@@JB360_NYC Thanks. I ended up just buying the Navee V50 scooter. Hopefully it doesnt suck
@@uberpekesis it good ? Any problems ? Is it waterproof ? Is the range real ? I know too much questions 😅
Stuck between this one and the one with 16 inch wheels but no suspension and loud motor, also from hiboy
what about gotrax gx zero?
Not gonna lie, the GX Zero has amazing specs especially since it's a dual motor scooter and under 1000.
How good is the suspension?
The suspension is solid actually but I wouldn't hop curbs with it for sure.
How much do you weigh including your gear and such
I'm about 200 pounds with an added like 5 pounds of gear with me
They should have a tracking tag in them👍🏼
Hecks yea! Something like an Apple air tag.
i put one in mines lol @@JB360_NYC
