Thanks mate. Someone the other day described me as a 'Cookie Cutter' and complained I do the same thing all the time. Well, there's a reason for that, and its because I think it works well :)
@@TomleyRCthat cookie cutter comment sounds beyond whiney. Guessing who said that probably isn't beyond chance. That's definitely the type person I put no value in their opinion.

But I'm really glad to see a resurgence in the 'class' and more options being made available! For a long time if you wanted a rally car in 1/10th scale you went Tamiya or you went vintage.
When my boys were younger, I built them some Stampede 4x4s and I had an EMaxx, all brushless. We made lots of fond memories with those trucks. I was living the poor, single Dad life back then. But I always wanted to build rally cars so we could setup road racing courses and have fun when we weren't hooning those trucks and breaking parts.

Good to see Hong Nor still turning out quality cars. I'd have this hands down over most of the other rally cars on the market, next on the list would be a converted Hobao chassis. It's a shame how many people in the comments seem to think this is an off brand or a knock off, Hong Nor are a high end competition brand that have a long history of producing incredibly competitive and fast race machines over the years.

@AnonAlmostDelivers HNR is an offshoot of Hong Nor. Think Maverick to HPI, similar deal. HNR is definitely more budget, but Hong Nor will have been involved in the process.
Holy 💩! That thing is awesome! The sound of it ripping on that wet pavement...I loved it that we could hear it breaking traction when you got it to full throttle. No doubt on their speed claims..I would say a good condition 3s run would be more than the 56mph. I was also very happy to see it has it own chassis design too! One more thing! Did you figure out what those things you didn't know what they were for do? I have the same sort of bits in my parts bin and have no clue!
The Rlaarlo is more towards 1:9th scale like the discontinued Kyosho DRX rally car if you remember that one, though there are even shorter suspension arms that brings the width closer too the traditional rally cars if you want to take a look at doing that.
But you will still have problems fitting 190mm bodies to the Rlaarlo XTS. The shock stands are too high and collide with the body. I tried it with a 195mm Subaru and it looks a bit like a lifted monster truck.
