Few will know just how difficult it is to play a Bb bass with to that effect. It is VERY difficult, which is why you won't come across many bass players that would attempt a solo, let alone one like this.
@@Elias_90 I think it is a B flat. The B flat has more of a long shape with the bell higher up where-as the E flat has the bell lower down and is more rounded.

It is an Eb Bass tuba. Notice at at 3:46 he plays a C concert with first and second buttons. And Eb fingering, certainly not a Bb.
