Well, I've watched a dozen pallet picket fence videos and everyone stripped the pallets. Watching yours was like an epiphany, simple yet brilliant and half the work. TY.
Pleased it helped...I'm just doing another project right now...
Best video on pallet fence I've seen.
I am a 56 yr. old grandmother from Ontario, Canada. I made 6 of these today and it is totally awesome! I have to make a lot more, thanks, again.
can you please do more pallet conversions? Chairs, benches, ect? Your videos are far superior than most online. Thank you for spreading proper knowledge. Carpentry is becoming a lost art...
Hi,
Check out our other UA-cam Channel "TA Outdoors" got more pallet wood conversions on there!
Michael Jenkins
Michael Jenkins nice 👍
I am a retired bench joiner/ cabinet maker by trade. I must say your video was truly entertaining, inspirational & creative by nature, i thoroughly enjoyed it, along with your witty humour, thank you Sir, you are a true gent!
Wow. So I've been addicted to watching your fishing videos lately. I'm trying to rehome a dog a need to build a fence for cheap. Search into youtube how to make a pallet wood fence and you come up!! Can't escape you! Crazy coincidence. I'm not complaining. Love your videos.
The best diy video I’ve seen on UA-cam
seems to have helped a lot of people ...Pleased it passes on some ideas.
@@TAFishing would be great to see more DIY projects
Working on some pallet projects tomorrow, a couple dog houses, an I'm eventually will do this picket fence across my front yard, and a driveway gate also! You can also build a 8 ft privacy fence for your back yard, I will be doing that one too one day, I work in a business district so free pallets are everywhere!
great stuff someone who actually explains HOW TO not just show you pictures of stages - Thanks a million
This is the coolest dude I've ever seen on UA-cam. I don't even need to build a fence, but watched every second of this. Well done!
Love your humour, and personality, awesome instruction, thank you. Just got hundreds of pallets for free, now im gonna make a picket fence around my whole property to keep the pig from running over to my not so friendly neighbours house. THANKS SO MUCH. Subscribed!
And this is exactly what I've been looking for! It's a a good base for a small gate that I'm off building this afternoon. A nasty wind ripped out my old one that I had made out of some old furniture panel, so it needs a good replacement so my chickens can't go wandering off in my backyard. ^^ I have a few pallets laying around behind the shed anyway, so they'll come in pretty handy.
Thank you, sir!
Its quite satisfying when you see it done.Glad you liked it.Look out for our new film for ladies with tips on how to unblock a sink.Should be on our Totally Awesome Fishing site next Monday.
Neat trick with the pallet cutting. You brought a smile to my face - and reminded me a little of Bruce Forsyth. I like your common-sense approach. Thanks for sharing.
When I retire I aspire to be this wonderful man right here.. What a life
I built a shed out of pallets and hand to dismantle them with a prybar and hammer. I now have to get a fence put in the front of our property. Oh my god, you just saved me so much work.
your videos are far more interesting than those plain old dull videos. love to see some more. and you repurpose the pallet to the best use down to the smallest piece of wood so nothing is wasted!!!
Helpful tip for foggy glasses.. put a dab of dish soap (like dawn for example) on the glasses, i do both sides so theres no chance of them fogging up. Rub with a paper towel until theres no more dish soap residue visible, helps to have a few paper towels, one to wipe the soap everywhere and 1 or 2 more to wipe off the excess. And your glasses wont steam up for a long time!! Usually a couple weeks, at which point, grab the dish soap again :) dish soap has worked better than any product I've bought for fog on glasses. Thumbs up if this was helpful 👍
I cant fish although I like to eat fish! This video was brilliant, mainly because you are such a cool guy. Great thing to be teaching people how to best use resources that come for free anyway. ROCK ON
Thanks a million for this video, I have been through loads of useless videos on this subject and am over the moon to find that My favorite DAD from TA outdoors has all the info that I needed all a long. Totally awesome video!
I have just stumbled upon your site, TAFishing to look for ideas for making cheap/strong picket fencing for 'my garden'....I am aware of picket fencing ideas using pallets..but you have enlighted many other uses that I worried I may not discover...albeit your posting is since 2012, this is fabulous to learn from. 'cheap as chips' and the colouring, is another new thing I've learned (spray marked). I' have a place near my office that I'll consider shortly. I love your fun manner. Keep it up...I may even tune in for fishing ideas...
Love this video! We have been on a tight budget trying to fence in the front of our property for our 3 horses. I think instead of making the points on them I will just leave them flat so the horses don't poke themselves. And with the pallets being raised off the ground a few inches or even a foot it'll be tall enough plus look absolutely stunning! Thank you so much for making this video! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Lady with allotment and reluctant hubby so this was a fabulous solution for my allotment fencing, now just go to find the tools in his garage, do you think he will notice if they go missing LOL. Seriously thank you for such a clear an informative video, cant wait to have a go this weekend.
Thank you for posting this video I have now made a fence for my yard and dogs, kindling for camp and ice fishing shack. Great recycling
Best Idea on pallet fence I have seen yet. Very simple & Easy. Thanks!
Awesome! I told my husband that we could make a fence from pallets and he laughed. I am going to do it.
Jessica Giusti my husband had the same response.
Because they think only inside the box. I build part of my house with used tires and for sure and adding pallets to it and plastic bottles, not only u save money but u also dpong a favor to the environment by recycling
I have watched all sorts of video's of how to dismantle pallets and it is so refreshing to see an idea that doesn't require the dismantle. Absolutely charmed by your video 008! One quick note, I would have kept the border whole and planted right in the box off the back of it. Makes a great planter that comes with it's own border! Cheers to you!
Once again, you have struck gold! I love to save money, and to reuse stuff! The only problem, my wife saw this video, and guess what I am going to be doing in the spring!
thank for the video, please keep them coming.
Very good presentation. Very helpful to this type of job. About to use pallet wood to build a picket fence. I have already made raised vegetable beds and a log shed from pallet wood all thanks to U Tube videos like this. They have given me confidence to have a go. Thanks for all your advice on this video.
5 things, don't forget your free nails.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to make it, picket fencing here I come!!
Wonderful.....! Simply wonderful ideas for saving the planet. You are a wonderful teacher as well. Wishing you long life and health to continue your voyage!!!
Planning on enclosing my patio with a pallet fence. Just found pallets and will start building the fence next week. Wish me luck.
very good video and very easy to follow this a very cheap way of building a fence for a veggie patch or a small dog run and pallets are only 2 euro in the garage up my road , and ill defenitly recommend this vudeo to my wood work teacher overall 10 outta 10 stars well done
You make a totally Awesome daffodil. The tips you've presented are awesome and I've me a few new things I can do to the excess pallets I have after making a pallet workshop and raised beds.
Fantastic.. genius.... wait till I show hubby. Perfect for my new allotment ! Thanks Mrs C
Awesome and easy idea, will be picking up pallets, they dump them near my corner shop for disposal regularly.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! ! ! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this video! You explain everything well and you're a pleasure to watch. I just love your sense of humor!
I have watched a lot of pallet fence videos and this one by far is the best! I love how you use the reciprocating saw and make the template to make it more symmetrical! I am excited to get my fence going now! thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills with us!
Great video and very entertaining
What a great video, my wife and I were only saying the other day about having a Picket Fence well now you've explained it so well that I'm going to have a go at it. Thanks so much .
Excellent .....my reciprocating saw is coming in the next few days
My pallets are waiting and you have made this so much easier than I was going to make it .
Thinking I needed to pull every board off and I don't have to now

Fantastic love your wit,and easy to follow even for me a single women, cant wait to replace my fence , with old pallets ,thanks so much
Love, love this. You did a wonderful job in explaining. Very witty humor. Thank you!
Give this man a TV show!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we should start a campaign.... get him on the telly!! :))
I'd love to see how it's actually put in loved the video made it way more simpler then I've seen
You are awesome, had I only known how easy it was for me to do this I so would have. I did it the hard and long way. Will try again, this time your way. Thank you.
I love this guy! Should have his own diy show!
Love your video. I was planning on fencing in my dog area and did alot of Web searching for the best way to do it with pallets. Your ideas were the best for ease of dismantling the pallets to overall design
We did have to buy the pallets because they have become a hot product. Even though it's still cheaper then buying fencing from retail
Thanks again
Thanks, great video and entertaining.
cracking! thank you sir! we'll be making fencing this spring... just need to source some pallets!
Any reciprocal saw will do the job.Or a sharp hand saw if you are energetic. My recip was a Macallister MRS800.I also had a Ryobi.I use them small logging for the log burner.Occasionally you might need new brushes after a lot of use.
Wow! Thank you so much. ive been head scratching for weeks about this one! Your delivery and instruction is very charismatic informative and intuitive. Thank you so much for helping me build my little castle. In admiration and with grateful heart and pocket, Chris.
Thank you for sharing your good tips on using the recycled pallets and your video is very entertaining and informative.
Seen a lot of pallet picket fences made but not like you did it. Cool that you get a flower bed border piece out of it too.
first time i have watched you and your cheery attitude is a pleasure to behold ...keep it up
Most useful video I’ve ever watched on YT. Gutted I don’t like fishing now.
You are soo funny. This has been the most informative and yet simple way to build a fence. Thanks for your great and easy to follow instructions.
From one tight wad to another.
I've been struggling for days trying to take apart pallets and put them back together again to create picket fencing. Thank you for the video you have saved me loads of time! I amanged to create a punch of fencing in just a few hours where as it was taking days!
5:17.... look left and right 'Don't tell anybody about this....' .... hahahahaaaaaa.... Loved this!
Waste not Want not. This is a good use of wood, well done. Also the video was very good. Ta
Brilliant way to make a section of picket fence if you can find uniform pallets. And I agree that pallets make EXCELLENT firewood from being so dry, and bark free. It burns a little fast from being small pieces, but it's FREE.
I dismantle some of the pallets to get the thicker posts off the back which I use for the stakes. Most pallets will have thicker posts beneath the slats to take the weight of whatever they are carrying. I use them full length, hammer them in the ground until level with the back support you want to nail them to. You can make them any length you want. Cut an even point so they hammer in evenly. You might need to clear a start hole if you have hard ground. Good luck.
wow! I'm just amazed by your ingenuity. I've been wanting to try working with pallets and I've seen other projects, but you made this look so easy, PLUS, you didn't waste a thing. I love that, and how it is being all put to good use, and with a little elbow grease,.....its FREE,..the best part. I really thank you and since you've shown how to do it,...I'm starting out looking for pallets and I have all kinds of ideas! Thanks again,...from,...christina
I am loving this Mr. Pullen, thank you very much for this great idea. I am gonna make nice fencing for my plant beds now.
Best pallet video I ever saw. Great presenter and some excellent tips.
You are so humorous. You make work.looks like fun. I love your spirit
Thanks for this video..done two this morning..well pleased.
Love the video - you make it look so simple but would gave been helpful for us thicko's how you actually put the fence into the ground! Xx
Wonderful! Best video I've seen! I have an allotment with 3 sides open to the communal path. Someone has trampled my onions! So I need a fence n I'm always broke, so thanks for the free instruction n free fence!😊
+Christine Baker No problem! Thanks for watching :)
You just got a sub from Kentucky USA! Very entertaining and informative tutorial brother. Thank you.
Getting ready to buy a three acre lot here in Minnesota. It is a flat treeless farm lot and it will take a lot of work to get landscaped and I am on a tight budget and having to do all the landscaping on my own. There are a lot of deer and rabbits and such to keep out of any gardens I plant. Thank you for this video. What a great idea! I am looking forward to all your other videos. You are truly a creative man! Now I just have to get up the courage to ask for free pallets. God Bless!
Thank you, check out our other youtube channel "TA Outdoors" we have some more pallet wood creations on there.
Well may a flying spaghetti bless you Mohammed!
Great video, nicely done. I used pallet wood to cover a whole wall in my Flying Squadrons "ready room". Didn't stain it just mixed the old with new; it looked great! We also covered the front and sides of the bar to tie everything together.
I would use pallets to make a Halloween Huts, cutting shingles out of them, to place over the roof and the sides to make it look more like a house
and Christmas Mangers, with a loft, ladder, and a stall for the animals. Once put together, I would tie down hay, on the roof hanging some and also put the hay inside the manger. Very Lovely! This is awesome! Thank you for sharing.
top bloke. great video, thanks. the fun to be had with a garage, pallets and a reciprocating saw
I see where you are going with this and I am too excited. Hello from the USA!
Pallets are great,I renewed the whole of the bottom of my garden with pallets from plasterboard, you get 4 great lengths of timber, about 41/2 wide,1/2 in thick and 6ft in length.Plus about 4 bearers of about 3x2in approx.Chop through the nails with a hammer and narrow bolster to cut them, easy to do,and you have free timber.Got all mine free from work, just going to be skipped for recycling.Used this stuff a lot for basic jobs like this, and it is really good.
Really enjoyed that! The humour, the simplicity, the end result, just a really good video THANK YOU!
Thank you so much just right on time for my DIY projects for the first time.
This is the best video I've ever seen on how to do this! Well done sir!

Thanks! Glad you liked it
Chuffing nora i love this idea, the only one thing i could add is using the square blocks for storage and drilling holes in them for storing screw drivers, pencils, drill bits or anything with a long thin tool/shaft.
I really like this, thankyou for sharing sir.
Neil
Your a fantastic guy! Very interesting all the things you can do with everything you have...your humor it is great and your funny aswell.Loved your video! THANK YOU SO MUCH !
I was wondering if this guy would be willing to adopt me.

Excellent ideas. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It’s a huge help
Hopefully there are a few basic tips in there for beginners to fishing.
You've saved me alot of money buying fencing thanks for your video was great mate
Pleased it helps.
God this guy is great. Informative, cozy and hella entertaining.
What a great idea. I live in a rental and would like to fence off a portion of the yard for my pups. Did not want to spend a whole lot of money and this is a great idea. I don't mind using a little elbow grease to get it done. Thanks.
Awesome - doing this soon! Ive seen free pallets at local places and never thought anything of them!
Great video. I have built everything from steps to chairs with pallet wood. FYI, many pallets, including ones for international shipping and ones for produce are treated with chemicals to prevent bugs. Sharing of international pests (wood beetles)and produce spoiling insects are a constant problem with shipping. While this treatment is great for wood used in your garden or outdoors projects, be careful of the burning fumes.
So happy I found your tutorial you absolutely Rock.
I can't wait to try this out all I need are pallets and tools LOL
i love this video! my friend made some fences from pallets he got for free and a i tempted to try it to after watching this thanks
Love it - have shared it on our site. Thanks, very refreshing, useful and down-to-earth.
When he sits back at 18:27 I lost it . The stack of lumber in the hole in the wall is all pallets as well .LOL
Brilliant and inspiring, will save a lot of time to build the same... thanks a million from Indonesia
