California server attitude to a T. During my career in the USAF, we moved all over the country and got to sample it. We never saw such hopelessly poor, anti-social, don’t care attitude as in SoCal. When we finally moved back to Omaha after three years, we went through culture shock. It was like everyone was having a great day and was polite and helpful. Everyone! When in fact, they were just being Midwesterners and we had normalized Cali anti-social interaction. My theory on Cali was that there were too many people consuming so much that nobody really cared. So relatable when he said- those who were in food service get fuming over bad service. After working at McDonald’s for 5 years and seeing all the right and wrong ways of doing the job, I literally can’t eat there anymore. After Covid it was like the collective intelligence just disappeared from food service, despite them dumbing it down and making the job easier.
I went to get my windshield replaced and the guy at the Auto Glass place literally looked and sounded like Shane Gillis it was so crazy. I interacted with him as if he were Shane and he just went along with it like a champ. They ended up ordering the wrong windshield and now I gotta drive to Florida with a crack in my line of sight but man I’d still have a beer with Auto Glass Shane.

Went to the woodlands Cheesecake Factory and never again! I ordered chicken Alfredo, they brought me baked chicken tenders with no seasoning, no color and barely any sauce.
That cheesecake is a shhhh show. My first time was with a big group ordered fries and I kept having to ask for my fries cause the came super cold and like 30 minutes after everyone else got their food. Their service really sucks in general idk what's going on over there.

The staff clearly can't be trusted, are adversarial by instinct with customers (gee, doesn't seem such a great way to make a profit at this location, Corporate office....), and who knows what is going on in that kitchen given this, or what they will do to your food once you've had their coworkers own themselves. Sucks though. Shane just wanted to eat, not get into it with the unprofessional staff (apparently, to believe this story, and if it's not true, hey, take it to court and let's see the evidence in the libel/slander case, Irvine Cheesecake Factory staff!), and right or wrong, fighting with dummies is usually a bad appetizer. Starbucks recently updated their coffee brewers so now they're automatic but of course the machine breaks every other week so that's probably why Starbucks seems to be out of drip coffee nowadays, makes it fresher, faster tho

I’ve never been to a cheesecake factory and only been to Starbucks twice and hated it both times.
I got food poisoning from that one in 5th grade
I would have turned full Karen 2.0 at that Cheesecake factory!
I'm assuming everyone else listening to this also had steam coming out of their ears as they role-played this in their mind.
Edit: Aw heck, I went ahead and sent this clip to the corporate office. Seems like they should know about it.
My version:
1) "Hey buddy -- How about this, since you're so confident I'm trying to pull one. Let's make a $100 bet in front of your peers, and then your manager can review the security footage with both of us (and you know they have cameras). No need for an apology when it's over, you can give me the $100 and get out of my sight."
2) The above doesn't happen? Manager time. Don't let the culture trick you into not having people actually do their jobs. That manager is there for a reason, and part of it is to protect the brand, and Cheesecake Factory is a big brand.
3) Speaking of which -- perhaps someone from corporate might want to review this event? That's the actual power move.
But either way, by no means actually trust any food being served at this venue once you do any of the above, and maybe even without it. The staff clearly can't be trusted, are adversarial by instinct with customers (gee, doesn't seem such a great way to make a profit at this location, Corporate office....), and who knows what is going on in that kitchen given this, or what they will do to your food once you've had their coworkers own themselves.
Sucks though. Shane just wanted to eat, not get into it with the unprofessional staff (apparently, to believe this story, and if it's not true, hey, take it to court and let's see the evidence in the libel/slander case, Irvine Cheesecake Factory staff!), and right or wrong, fighting with dummies is usually a bad appetizer.
Speaking of which, perhaps this video needs mention on their Google reviews on Google Maps. Time to review their current reviews.
I never could have let that go, I could not have left without explaining to the other waiters that that was the guy who talked to me and that he’s clearly acting suspicious lol
yo we need to get retribution for shane. It is unacceptable for gaslighting a customer. I've seen better service at a Mcdonalds. This cheesecake factory in irvine NEEDs to fire the waiter and the girls that worked the front desk.
Not to mention their decor is off-beat in not a good way, the menu is a mile and a half long of 150 random disjointed items, and no meal is under 1200 calories. Cheesecake Factory is bizarre, and it's stand out attributes are not positives. I'd probably never go back, personally.
Starbucks recently updated their coffee brewers so now they're automatic but of course the machine breaks every other week so that's probably why Starbucks seems to be out of drip coffee nowadays, makes it fresher, faster tho
