That was my first car, DD it for 5 years before selling it last year. 300,000 miles, original clutch. The only mods I did were wheels, coilovers, wheel hub conversion and a new paintjob.
This car also sold in Malaysia as Perodua Kancil Only 660cc and 850cc NA offered and a lot of owners converted to the Japanese turbo cousin variant of their Kancil
He still owns this today in Oshkosh. This is the car I've seen on main Street every summer ❤️❤️❤️ I'm jealous because Nobody knew what it was there and I'm like.. DAIHATSU!!!
The 64 horsepower rating is just like the 276hp rating for flagship cars. Pretty much every turbo kei makes over 64 crank horsepower, usually more like 80-90.
I would check the fuel relay. After 30 years, the soldering on the circuit board could be wearing out. Not starting when warm, but then starting again after a cool down, is a symptom of that.
Cool. Does it have the rain sensor, light sensor and 4 wheel steering? Demo effect! Demo effect! 😁 And a Gloria besides it! Looking forward to that review!
I have 2 Mira's and have all the turbo engine setup imported from a TR-XX. They are the best tiny cars and if you have no back seats you can fit basically anything inside, engines, engine cranes, furniture, car parts, tools anything.
I remember seeing a few models of this generation of Mira back home, mostly converted from their original purpose as Taxis back when they were imported.
I want one. It looks like a proper hot hatch. It's so light that 63hp is adequate for legal speeds. One of these would be great on winding back roads. 63hp is the legal limit for kei cars but it's no secret that some cars had bigger horses than others. The packaging is impressive just like the original Mini. It's short but it's upright. The Suzuki Alto Works is my favorite kei hot hatch but if I was offered a Mira TR-XX I wouldn't say no. Now you need to find a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R. It's like a Focus RS but from 25 years ago.
Man im a bike guy, i never wanted to own a car ahah However i was riding around here in Thailand few days ago and i Saw this Mira cars..... converted into a pickup truck. Now im looking videos and thinking to buy the tiny pickup truck ahaha They do crazy mods here in Thailand
Maybe it had some moisture under the dizzy cap or a loose battery connector xD I remember this car from Gran Turismo 2 and 4, these are so much fun to race
Sadly it's so hard to get hands at those in europe :| I LOVE those lil buggers! I drive a Renault Twingo C06 (take that one on your list, if you can find one, but only the 16V one with coilovers^^) and thats as close ima get to a keycar, besides a smart maybe but im not a fan of those :| Sometimes im really jelly of your doings! :D Peace and keep em coming!
*You just cannot get a NEW car like this in the USA anymore that even comes close to this kind of experience* Now all it is all huge barges, with nanny features galore.
@@JT8D200C Yes it is, however I have been so busy with the reviews that I don't have an essay lined up. Hoping to fix that when I am finally home next week.
It's pronounced "purr so nahl". This car, with its open intake and exhaust, likely makes more like 75 HP if at stock boost level. Later years had a four pot motor.
So no one is going to comment on Zack asking us to share our small packages with him?
Nope
Ayo.

I really like your reviews, the way you appreciate every cars is so relatable and friendly! Too bad I have a bland car, haha! Good job Zack!

this is beyond awesome 💖
You guys are so lucky, here in Chile you can't import cars
Love the big energy for a little car, this is why I tune in
I just purchased a 1993 Daihatsu Mira TR-XX turbo and I have to agree with you that it's a blast to drive!
plenty of spareparts in Malaysia since her cousin Perodua Kancil is still a common daily car on the road here
It must costs a fortune to create that rain in almost every video, lol
Cool. Does it have the rain sensor, light sensor and 4 wheel steering?

Kei cars are the most fun you can have with street-legal go-karts it seems. Great review.
So this looks just like the mighty car mods Japan trip Mira.
It's the same generation as Marty's Mira.

I like that little car, I love driving slow cars fast!
Bro the second your camera turned to you in the car, it started raining outside here, too 😂😂😂
In Malaysia, this car is called the Perodua Kancil.
The wipers going slow caught me off guard 😂
Getting Jack Black vibes from my man

Looks like he's already reviewed a Pulsar. UA-cam keeps deleting links so you'll have to search for it

Dammm this is sick
My small package is for me and me only Zack...
ROTFLMFAO
Finding 3rd sitting on the right is slightly different huh? Oh. A real quartz clock this car was from the quartz clock era wow!
Electrical gremlins !! I noticed that when the wipers were moving so slowly.
Alternator went kaput. New one is on order
@@chriszbinden1740the man himself. Nice car Chris!
Sounds like the 3cyl in the Corolla GR.
orginal turbo? yoksa sonradan mı takıldı?

Sloooow wipers...?
As the car’s owner, I can confirm the alternator crapped out, which also caused the starting issue
