Love seeing these little Kei cars around. *Love* the blowoff and hiss noise from the tiny turbo! More fun watching these videos than the unobtainium supercars, love seeing the weird stuff.
As someone who grew up in Canada learning to drive in low powered British cars I am intrigued that you are fascinated by a car with "only" 60 horsepower. The Austin 1100 I learned to drive on was a 48 horsepower car. If that thing had 20 more horses it would have been a rocket. I am enjoying your experience with low horsepower cars. That's all we had in the early to mid sixties unless you moved up to American V8's . These small Japanese cars are real gems. Great video! You should drive the one with the 3 cylinders engine (like the one on Marty MCM’s Mira) if you can find one. While the 3cyl might not be as smooth as the 4cyl you drove, it actually even happier to rev, a totally different animal.
My brother got this car from my dad. It was originally 660cc and then my father changed the gearbox for 850cc engine. It was fun little car and practical in South East Asia region. People actually sell some food stall with these! Anyway my brother changed the engine with 1000cc i3 and it was a monster! Lastly, because something is wrong with that car(Idk what, my brother didn't tell me) he changed it back 660cc with a twist. Well actually a turbo. I never driven that but I think it will be fun little car with a boost!
