Awesome video man. This must have taken a lot of time and hard work. Good job. I definitely subscribed.
You should do this for the 80s. My favorite NFL decade. Even with two strike seasons, the game was larger than life.
I think the Strike seasons are really interesting cuz players taking action against owners are epic
@@AidenHolbrook If the owners continue down this "let's just fine players more" policy, there will be another strike. Since the owners seem to insist on overplaying their hand here, the very idea that an organization can fine labor in the first place may come under question and end up in a federal court. The players will tolerate lousy officiating for the sake of keeping their paychecks coming, what they will not tolerate is the NFL thinking the players will shoulder the financial burden of retiree medical bills.
The coke addicted pro athletes from the 80's should be good lol 😂
Totally agree...do the 80's!!!
The San Francisco 49ers dynasty and the '85 Chicago Bears are the highlights of that decade. We definitely need an Ultimate 1980s NFL Recap!
Folks are pushing for more of these. The 70s through 00s would be awesome.
I second this
1930s as well
2010s
Loved 90s football. Defenses were nasty and could do nasty stuff that are not allowed now-a-days. RBs were heart and soul of an Offense and every competitive team had a big name RB. The game was raw and much grittier.
Yeah. In other words football. It’s pull down football now.
@@Kunfucious577you still watch?
Let's never forget the defenses of the 2000s. Them dudes were legendary in terms of hard hits and true gridiron football. Clay Matthews was one of the last holdovers from that era until the new QB protection rules came out
Yes!! The football of my childhood!!
90s football defined my young adult life.. the NBA wasn’t that bad neither. it’s really too bad the entire sports persona of the 90s didn’t last.
1999 "Under head coach Jeff Fisher, the team had gone 8-8 for 3 straight years." Classic Fisher
Come on man! Jeff Fisher was a really hard worker! He'd get to the office at 7 and work till 9.
@@justfitz08 7-9 to match his record every year
@@Zaghzackioyeah buddy, that was the joke..
I cannot put into words how grateful I am for your video. Turning 10 years old in 1990, I was able to soak in the whole '90s era NFL, and it was one of the best decades in Pro Football history.
I appreciate you taking the time to make a comment like this. Glad I could make a difference in your day!
I believe it was the most complete decade when it came to team building. It's not like now when you almost got to have a top 5 QB or else you're wasting your time. Back then you truly had to build a team from top to bottom or you weren't going anywhere.
@@ChaseChatsme too dat Nfc championship game were Montana got hit hàd me sick n dat 90 season after watching SB 24 was my intro ta football 🏈! I still remember having the newspaper from when Montana tosses 6td vs Falcons 45-35 n Rice had 5 of em. N den my second saddest game when my 2nd team Oilers lost ta Buffalo. Sad but good memories. At least Niners won n 94 n den Raiders came back n 95 a great Deacade! Thx
The Cowboys and 49ers were a GREAT rivalry then. They had some of the best teams EVER in the early-mid 1990s.
94 9ers 95 cowboys both arguably best team ever convo. As 9ers fan the year they beat Denver 55 10 is another candidate
@kenw2225 I'm no Chicago fan but The greatest EVER single season team is the 1985 Bears
one thing is for sure if Jimmy Johnson had stayed in 94, the Cowboys don't go down 21-0 after 3 possessions against the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
All that is nice but.....I just want to see Barry Sanders run. That's all I need.
That 91 Washington team is seriously one of the best ever. Maybe the most complete team ever
And they are rarely ever included in talks of best team ever. They were dominant!
He didnt even mention earnest byner had his best year or what a great trade that was. My browns got fleeced
Snesdrunk??? You comment woah😊
Everybody knew before the season started they were going all the way, as a redskins fan it was awesome.
@@randallkepley6215HTTR!
The 90s were considered the Tecmo Super Bowl years when the greatest football videogame of all time (still true to this day) was introduced along with its excellent two sequels. Those videogames made me a football fan for life
Same here.
I like this I can’t wait for a 2000-2010 video I feel like that time period was the last we saw of the best nfl experience. 💯💯
Fact
As a recent nfl fan within the last 5 years, this was great. Would love a decade’s series
Welcome to the greatest sport of all
Miss the 90s for everything really. What a time to be alive lol. Forever gone but not forgotten. Great vid man
Peak civilization IMO
man, the Rams ascension, the oilers becoming the titans, john elway and barry sanders retiring, instant replay being reintroduced, The music city miracle, the superbowl coming down to one yard. The 1999 season has to be one of the best NFL seasons ever
Oilers becoming Titans wasn't good. Bring back the Oilers.
I was at the 93 Cowboys Thanksgiving game AND the Music City Miracle.
I can understand the Bills losing to the Cowboys because at that point they’d been to the Super Bowl a few times and were really overmatched at almost every position. But that first 1990 loss to the Giants was BRUTAL.
The Bills had a favorable record against the NFC in the regular season. It's a myth that they were vastly inferior just because they happened to be in the AFC. You gotta look at the performance of key players. The reality is the Bill's best players seemed to just get rattled in the Superbowl, and I think the 1990 loss seemed to inflict PTSD on them, and all the non-stop talk about how the AFC sucked didnt help anyone's confidence either.
That famous touchdown by Barry Sanders against the Cowboys. That was his ONLY playoff touchdown.
I love the 90s, thanks for doing a cover of the decade, A crazy balance era in my opinion. A era with RB, and some great WR and A era that will later make pass happy league.
Every time I watch that snowy highlight, I think to myself: "No Leon, don't touch it this time!!"
22:36 remember watching Tony Martin beat Tim McKyer, at the time that skip jump before the catch was the coolest thing ever
This was fantastic. It literally took me back to my childhood.
Loved this!! Hope the next is the ultimate recap of 2000-2009
Not the same. Seems like yesterday it's too soon for that. Gotta see an 80's video.
@@maplebear6527 2000 was 24 years ago, 2009 was 15. I think we’re good.
@@jamestriska14 Stop it you're making me feel fking old! 2000 was 5 years ago!!!
You should do a 2000-2010 decade, this video was beautifully made amazing job man.
Amazing video and summary of an entire decade. I learned so much even as a die hard NFL fan!
That’s always nice to hear! Thank you!
I agree every decade please!?
Nothing really new for me. Maybe one thing but can't remember early on now what it was. However, very nice to see all this in chronological order in less than 10 hours. Good job with well rounded summaries
I honestly think the mid 1980's to around 2005 was the highlight of NFL football. Great work.
I’m a Packers fan and I bet this decade was a time to be alive to watch all of it! I was born in 1998, so I was a kid during Tom Brady’s prime. I started paying attention to the game when I was 8 or 9 and I watched Aaron Rodgers get drafted. But I always hear stories of the 90s, great video!
I’m a Packers fan too but born in 1988. I grew up with Favre as my favorite player. Trust me when I say that Brett Favre had the best arm out of any QB ever. It was unreal watching him play. I’m glad you got to see Aaron Rodgers and be there for the 2010 Super Bowl. Jordan Love will take us back to the Promised Land. Go Pack Go!
All i gotta say is great job man! I loved this video and the flashback to a more simpler decade in time.
Thank you!
OMG THANK U SIR
THIS IS LIKE FREEBASING PURE NOSTALGIA
You know you gotta do everything decade now 🤣
This was dope
I love when videos start like this, with an old commercial to bring you back and put you in that nostalgic mindset. Just found this channel and I'm digging it
I'm thankful to be born during the 1990s (I was born in 1992), and watching this video of the recap of the 90s just brought back the fantastic nostalgia. So, thank you, Chase. I know people are chirping, about you doing the 1980s next but I hope you do the 2000's next, if not I understand. I don't mind the wait.
Nothing says 90s football better than the Super Tecmo Bowls on the original Nintendo & super Nintendos
This was an incredibly well put together 90s football rundown. I would love to have more of these. Excellent work.
Thank you! Definitely planning to do more!
A series of these videos would be so cool! Thank you for working so hard to deliver such a quality video with great history of the sport!
This was so good man, I know it's a chore but I'd watch all of them multiple times if you made them for all the decades
Need a decades series. 60s-2010s would be must watch.
99 NFC championship game- The play that inspired what would be known as the “Bert Emmanuel Rule” and lead to a quarter century long debate over what is or isn’t a catch
Well done! Thanks for the trip down memory lane. It reminded me why I fell in love with the game as a kid born in 1990.
This may be the greatest video of all-time.
This was so engaging and brilliantly narrated. Thank you, and please give us more!! Hope your channel blows up man
Thank you so much!
Thank for taking the time to make this video. This was great. I really enjoyed it and wow I thought you did a great job with the editing. I would love to see an 80s and 2000s version of this. Maybe even a 2010s.
Thank you! I’d love to do more!
yes, this deserves a series... big time.. Just wish it was a bit longer with longer breakdowns of year to year...
Great video! What an incredible decade of football the 1990's was. Takes me back.
2000’s please! This was amazing man
PLEASE keep this type of content coming
This is great content keep this up my man!! Also see if you can do the 00’s next
Thank you!
@@ChaseChatsthanks for this🙏 you can easily make the next ones 1 - 2 hour documentaries.
Great recap. The 90's was an awesome decade. 90-96 was an amazing period.
What an amazing video! It’s been said already but I would love more of these eras retrospective videos.
6:00 Pain. So much pain.
Loved this! Please do another one
Very very good work! I love the summary of each seasons details, about teams and players that had an impact but didn't make the super bowl.
This video was amazing, man. Please do the 2000's!
I was a teenager in the 90s i loved the NFL so much back then! Plus my Cowboys were dominant! Great work sir thanks for taking us down memory lane 🤝
Please make this a series, this was great.
Awesome video man. I been watching NFL heavy since 2008 and watched tons of stuff on NFL history but I learned a lot from this vid! I’d love a 2000s one though, I can name the SB winners but the added info you do with the head coaches, adversity , how other teams did, is where I really could learn a lot from. Another reason I’d prefer 2000s is because the advancement of offense, coaching, nfl in general.
Great video! Keep em coming!
My favorite era of football! Man the 90s were great.
Hell of a video man. As a sports history nerd who was born in the 90s, I absolutely loved this. Keep them coming
This was great. I was born in '86. I was obsessed with football. And the Bulls. Bulls too.
Being from Kenosha, WI, I am a Cubs, Packer, Bull and Blackhawk fan.
Not even a Bucks fan during these Giannis years?
I was born on Super Bowl Sunday in 1995 so seeing how the nfl was back then was really dope
70's and 80's were too much defense, the 10's so far 20's are way too "make sure everyone's fantasy football team can score over a hundred points." The 90's and 00's felt so freaking perfect. EDIT-- I have never watched one of your videos before. The YT algo recommended you.
You should do this recap of each NFL decade! This was brilliantly done!!
Cant wait for the 2000s. Thatll be a trip down memory lane
What a great video man!! I loved it liked it subscribed and everything 🎉
PLEASE MAKE THIS A SERIES! Thanks for making this one
Thank you so much for it. Watched the whole thing. Brought back so many memories in my life and what I was doing. Thank you for making this video. Love the NFL. 💪🏻
Nice series!
Thanks for the hard work doing these compilations!
This is great!!! I have a 7 year old son who has been diving head first into the sports world and I'm going to show him this video ASAP! Other decades would be awesome as well, but this is a perfect start because it will help him understand why I (as a Packers fan) still hate the Cowboys today! Thank you for putting this together!!!
Awesome video, at the end I was going to watch the 2000s video until i hears it was the first of it's kind.
2000s video is coming!
This was amazing, thank you for this!
Roger Craig first player with 3 TDs in a Super Bowl. First player with over 1000 receiving and 1000 rushing yards in the same season.
Still the best decade of the NFL in my opinion.
GREAT video. As a kid born in 78 and been watching football with an actual understanding of the game since the legendary 86 Bears season, my most rabid fandom was in the 90s.
My all time favorite athlete ever is Barry Sanders.
I just want to get out some thoughts on this era and again, awesome video, in no particular order:
-Terrell Davis was maybe THE example of injury ruining a beyond hall of fame career. He wouldve been more than likely considered the all time best, especially with that offensive line (ps, lol, i love how it's narrated "but Davis couldn't be stopped," at 35:14 while the clip shows him running through a hole so wide that any one of us couldve had the memory of a lifetime with a Super Bowl TD...im not taking away anything from TD obviously, as i just said he wouldve been THE best, but his greatness, at least at the time, went hand in hand with that sick Denver OLine..
- we were robbed of a couple of what I thought would've been all time great super bowls; the chargers inexplicably defeating the #1 defense Steelers, then getting smoked by the 'niners. I'm sure the niners still wouldve won, but the #1 D vs the #1 O, especially those 2 number 1s, wouldve been great.
- while the pessimistic nature of myself (more on that later) instantly thought Gary Anderson would indeed miss that kick, i couldn't believe it. That damn kick robbed us of a great Super Bowl, Vikings vs....
- i didn't complete that last point because, it still stings, as a Jets fan, that we didn't make the proper half time adjustments, to hold onto that halftime lead and win. We would've smoked that Falcons team, despite Jamal Anderson and his gigantic, REDWOOD tree trunk legs
- the pessimistic comment, is BECAUSE i'm a Jets fan, and im not one of those obnoxious ones that thinks we're going to "WIN" every year. Im astonished every time i think of our futility to land a franchise QB. Our best one was what, 150 years ago with Namath, with a couple of decent ones all the way up until probably our 2nd best QB, Chad Pennington, who never made it to the super bowl. I thought Zack Wilson and Sam Darnold SUCKED, never wanted to draft them. I never wanted Mark Sanchez even, and he went to 2 AFC championships!
But what am i to do, since again, if you missed it, im a JETS FAN and draft FLUBS is iconic a part of our "rich" history as Namath's guarantee, the fake spike, and the butt fumble. In fact, besides those 2 load QBs in recent years I mentioned, i can't believe that there isn't more a narrative again quite recently, when despite drafting Sauce, we didn't grab the slipping Tariq Woolen. Despite his lack of a lot of experience at CB, he was THE unicorn CB prospect, much like how DK Metcalf was the unicorn WR and also dropped, both of which is for one reason and one reason only--- over thinking it!
THat last point had nothing to do with this video, but I always feel compelled to go off on that "the jets will always suck until they dont'," speech when I state that I'm a Jets fan, as we are home to some of the absolute most delusional and obnoxious fans in all of sports..
We need a video about the 80s immediately
Amazing video, you deserve so much more credit for this.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
I grew up in the 90s watching the oilers. This was really good. I gave you a like and subscibe and i hope you do as you are wishing and that is to make one for every decade. I'll certainly watch every one of them! Good stuff!! Thank you!
Man this was beyond awesome. Thanks for doing this and sharing
cant wait for more
This video was great. It was like watching my childhood unfold. Please make more like this.
Yes, please please please make this into a series!
Great video, thanks for the work you put in 🙏🏻
This was a really cool video. I'm just getting to know the NFL so this helped fill in a lot of gaps
This was friggin awesome! Loved every second of it...the nineties were lit!!!!
Please do more man this is so good. I wanna learn about all the decades. Shits fire
Incredible video! Truly like watching a Netflix documentary, super informative. Keep up the hard work, all of us fans appreciate it!
Great job!! Excellent video. Gotta see if you did every other decade.
Damn you just made me a fan and crave more content like this. Following
Well done man, well done...
This was really well done, thank you!
incredible video! hope to see more of the same style soon. your hard work should be rewarded by lots of new subs like myself. thanks man!
Thank you! Hearing stuff like that makes my day
Such an amazing video please continue with the 2000s. Subscribed I have.
This is a awesome series. I look forward to seeing more
This is better than nfl films, well done.
This was very good but hardly better than NFL Films. Steve Sabol, and NFL Films have documented the history of the league starting from the beginning. Not to mention the epic vocal narration provided by the iconic John Facenda. No comparison.
This video is terrific. Nice job!
Excellent job
Thank you so much for this vídeo
Please continue this format into a series! Fantastic work, and I hope to watch the rest of the decades and the mega video!
Love hearing this! Thank you!
It's amazing that there was actually a time when a matchup of 2 powerhouse defenses was considered a marquee matchup back then. How can we get that back? Nowadays fans would treat that game as an abomination.
I laughed super hard the moment the screen said “Super bowl XXV”.
Boy
I
Love
Losing
Superbowls
That 90's all defensive team is crazy Reggie White, John Randle, Bruce Smith Prime time.
Bill Walsh.. Started watching football in the 00s but that man has an underrated impact on the strategic side of the game specifically on offensive.
