People are soooo stuck on how all the players are in on it. They don’t have to be. The only thing you need to rig a ball game is an officiating crew. That’s it.
Yup. If you understand the money behind each team and the innerworkings of management, sports can become quite boring, and even depressing after learning the unfairness of it all.
Watch the No Holding calls on Lion's Hutchinson as he spins his way in. They tackle him which is usually a hold. But the NFL Owners all make more money in the playoffs, ask me, a LIONS fan who's ownership is the same family as the last time they won the title., 1967, I mean 1957. (Too young to know.). They hold him by his jersey with hands literally double wrapped and unable to release but no calls. . There are teams with stretch and tear away jerseys this year and no one stopping them, Unreal! Obvious!. No shirt tackles as shirts stretch as they shirt stretching like rubber bands. They had rules about this and there they are. Didn't test? Hard to grip slick material and it stretches, too. Jerseys are not supposed to stretch five feet. Ridiculous and obvious. Why is t allowed? oh, the league favorite draws use them this year, Surprise?.
When the owners are content with part time officials, the commissioner gets a cut from every bet placed, and the gambling commission continues to turn a blind eye… the NFL corruption will only get worse.
Most people don’t understand how much money is involved. In close games, the bookie or gambling company wins both ways. Your team might win but not by the points to cover or your team loses but it’s too close. Then count the halftime beats where it looks like your team is losing. You change your bets but then your team wins.
Two calls give the Refs the ability to affect the outcome of close games Offensive Holding= takes place on every single play Defensive Pass Interference = Takes place on every single play The circumstances that they chose to call these penalties gives them control of the outcome of games .
They spot the ball by just eyeballing forward progress. But, a couple of times per game, when they need a really precise measurement, they bring out the chains. It's all a very bad joke.
What about the year the Saints didn't go to the Super Bowl because of a no-call on a blatant pass interference penalty against the Rams? You can't tell me that something wasn't amiss in that game.
Katrina happen in 2005 and saints won the 2009 season , not that blatant to me , so that one not so obvious, but I agree something not right in a lot of these games and in a lot of scenarios, and I’m a silver n black fan so I’m angry and have a lot of animosity to begin with a lot of things that have happen over the years , I have to say I enjoyed this video hope to see more good stuff
@Abort Christ Saints didn't choke and that was definitely pass interference. Even the league admitted the Rams should have been called for that penalty. If they had, NO would have been within striking distance to score a touchdown with less than 2 minutes left and if they had they most likely would have won the game. After the controversial no-call, several officials who worked this game were fired by the league. The Saints didn't get "screwed". They got screwed.
@Abort Christ in what way did the saints choked SMH yes they had a chance in overtime but regardless they were screwed doesn't matter anyways rams got exposed by the patriots so no biggie
Yup always have the mysterious "holding" penalty in the back pocket ..weird they literally NEVER EVER show these on replay but will spend 75 minutes zooming in to see if a shoelace touches a blade of grass hmm
That day crushed the young teenage me, it was definitely rigged - but as I got older and wiser I realized this is more common than not - even in my latter days beloved soccer. World Cup Superbowl both dirty af.
the media admits it. The leagues literally give star players better treatment then non stars. And the star players tend to play for star teams who also gets good treatment. Its not a secret. Now having the league trying to beat the Vegas odds is another thing
Sure, in the history of the sport I’m sure someone somewhere attempted to rig a match. Like the 1919 black sox scandal or the European soccer league scandals over the years with international mafia interference amongst the officials. But to say the whole NFL is in on it? That absurd
I don't think anyone has ever questioned Rice and Brown believing what they say. But that doesn't make it factual. (For clarity, I'm a Raiders fan and think at the very worst Callahan coached the worst game in NFL history. If he didn't, then he sabotaged the game).
People might wonder why the Raiders would throw the game but when you look at how much money these owners, GM's, and coaches make on paper it's probably just scratching the surface. There was almost certainly some under the table deal between the bucs and the Raiders.
@@PhilAndersonOutside Remember, Callahan talked bad about the Raiders when he was coaching them. Also, an offensive guard went crazy before the game and did not play. That threw off his teammates. It was rigged alright
Not all the games are fixed. But the league definitely puts their thumb on the scale whenever they think they can control an outcome that will make them more money. We see it year after year.
how do you know "not all the games are fixed"? you just said they do it whenever they want...buy youre so smart you can tell when its happening and when its not. right. its fixed. simple as that. always has been.
Agree in regards to super bowl three look at the billions of dollars involved with the Jets win a merger of the two leagues the Namath factor the first real big marketing celebrity figure in the NFL football even announced by president Nixon stating simply football now is America s number one sport so the timing is huge
Super Bowl XL was the moment I began questioning the integrity of pro sports. Then Ray Lewis announced his retirement, and Baltimore goes on to win the Super Bowl. Then you have the Lakers game where they beat the Kings when they shouldn't have, all in the same time period. I have no faith in Pro sports integrity.
@Francis Parker true. The speculation was so high that all the pieces just falling into place so he could make his "announcement" was just too perfect.
It is alleged to be honest though. Entertainment yes, but not rigged like our elections, so no they are not the same: everyone knows wrestling is staged @@captain_orange
I will go one further. Bills win it this year for first time ever. They have Hamlin at the game, the camera focuses on him and America gets its “feel good” sports moment of the decade. It then wins a ESPY for Moment of the year
I believe this goes on far more than we even realize. Make no mistake Vegas and the gambling industry control all sports not just the NFL. As far as the NFL that’s why teams are required to submit an injury report, not because of a league rule or player safety or whatever. It’s so Vegas can adjust the odds on the game. I’m not saying all games are fixed but I’d say this goes far deeper than anyone can fathom.
And that's why the immaturity and fratboy behavior is allowed in sports players, fans, media, talk radio the dated silly rivalries it gives sports a clean innocent vibe but sports is very dirty and corrupt just like any other business we that much money invested.
For a referee to apologize years later "could be" clear evidence that the game was fixed. Normal people without sociopathic tendencies have a conscience that wears on them and an apology "could be" a way to relieve that anxiety. I'm surprised you wouldn't catch that.
OR...ref just knew he blew it, and guilt rose to level to lead to his apology...not a sign of a "rigging". Besides, the vast majority of people (the common sense...66% of people) don't understand other people very well, nor do they make high-level moral decisions. See psychologist, Lawrence Kohlberg'moral development theory (fact) re-proved for over 5 decades across the world!
What about it? The Saints still had plenty of chances after that non-call to finish off the Rams and they didn't. The Saints even got the ball first in overtime and still couldn't put the Rams away. You can complain all you want about that bad call, but Drew Brees simply didn't have the arm he used to have and was playing at a diminished capacity. In fact he retired after that. The Saints lost that one. They had several opportunities to win that game, but didn't.
That should have gotten a ref fired. That would have been called Unnecessary Roughness anywhere else on the field, much less a receiver who was protected from contact. Unbelievable.
@@jeffroberts8246 The Washington Commanders say hold my beer when the Giants mugged Curtis Samuel in the endzone of that Sunday night fiasco with playoff implications not counting the ref who called McLaurin for illegal formation after being told he was good...makes ya wonder but this is an entertainment industry and billions of dollars at stake each yr so yeah games are fixed when they want them fixed..
The really sad part about the officiating in games is that the players and coaches are fined for speaking up and complaining about the men and women who blow calls with no repercussions against them!
People don't find out. It's the whole media working on this. The news outlets would never cover the story. The whole world is rigged. Sports is just one scam, money scheme. Distraction. Bread and circus. People don't find out what they aren't supposed to find out
This years NFL play off goes like this.......Kansas City scores a touchdown, show Taylor Swift. K.C. scores a field goal, show Taylor Swift. K.C. gets an interception, show Taylor shift. Kansas City gets a safety, show guess who?
The fix is in…Chiefs can’t loose the Super Bowl…just wait to see a late call either go against SF or a no call the benefits KC…either way SF can’t win…the league won’t allow it….
Your 100 percent correct. It's like when Jeffery Epstein got thrown in jail and EVERYBODY said that he was a dead man. And then they killed him anyways, because they can get away with it even if everyone knows, who care because it's not like the average NFL fan will stop watching@@DP-ol5uv
For me, the problem with officiating is the subjectively selecting WHEN to make calls/no calls.....example, both teams have been holding all game "letting them play" (so to speak) but when it provides an opportunity to call back a touchdown, THATS when they decide to call it... infuriating! Just call it the same way the whole game!
You are exactly right, then when the holding call happens, they show a slo mo replay and the announcers are like "oh there it is, clearly holding", and they are right, what they don't show is the exact same thing is happening on nearly every play and not being called. Once there are a couple of calls against your team, I 100% guarantee the players on that team realize "hey, I can't push the envelope on what will be tolerated, these officials are being strict". Those players don't want the next penalty to be called on them, they are fighting for a job next season...
You forgot the lights going out in Super Bowl XLVII where the Ravens were romping and then half the lights in the stadium go out. After a long delay that pretty much erased the Ravens momentum, the 49ers made a comeback and made the game interesting, though the Ravens did win in the end. Ravens players swear it was done intentionally to try to eliminate the Ravens momentum and make it an exciting game.
It's so annoying like why does the NFL think they need to rigged stuff people will watch an unbiased game. When rigging it runs people off. I use too love football but it's so obvious and the NFL are so sloppy with how they rig games. Look at all the blowouts that turn into comebacks after halftime this year. It's so constant.
I believed then and now that it was no accident when the lights went out. The Niners were a Cinderella team and the NFL wanted a story, not another blowout. I imagine there were a lot of people who stood to win a lot of money with a Niners win.
Still remember that non-call pass interference for the Saints in the playoffs. The ref was right there and the receiver got tackled before the ball got there .
Yeah just like them 2 calls they missed on the Rams drive prior to the the Saints PI...Let's say they hypothetically throw the flags the game was over and the Saints PI doesn't even happen🤷🏾♂️
I know that my grandfather, living in NYC at the time, made over $40k off Super Bowl III, based on a "great tip". Coincidentally, he was a chef at a restaurant that several Jets players regularly frequented. It was enough money to pay off all his debt, move to south Florida, and start his own restaurant, where a lot of Dolphins players liked to eat.
So a bunch of Jets players came in and told him they were confident and gonna win the super bowl? Or let me guess Joe Namath himself whispered that the NFL gave him the script that said the Jets were gonna win and to "bet it all on green" gimme a break. The Colts laid an egg that game and the Jets laid a slightly smaller egg and won. It's one of the ugliest super bowls I've ever seen if that one was rigged then the people who rigged it should get their money back because it stunk.
No they aren't your delusional if that was the case many small market nfl teams would never even get a shot at the superbowl yet many have won their first championship in the past 20 ish years
Um all 32 teams or atleast 31 of the nfl teams share there profits with douchebag so yea they can win but only large market teams usually win. As for the cowboys don't win because there owner won't share with douchebag so they won't push
They do Announce before a game that they “Hope you enjoy the following scheduled NFL Program”, or something similar, but they definitely use the words NFL Program!
@@onemans-opinion8391 you’re right. I’ve heard that. Good point. Imagine the millions that don’t even hear that as it’s playing. They actually don’t even have to buy off refs because match fixing is allowed. No one is getting in trouble.
There is no doubt in my mind that the refs in super bowl 40 used calls to disrupt Seattle's rhythm and take away points, also giving advantage and points to the Steelers. If the proper calls had been made, the end result would have been quite different.
I am happy to see another person speaking out just how much trowing a team of their rhythm decide an outcome of a game. This is the one tactic an opposing team can use, or fixers, to get a desired outcome
this could be true, however there's just no evidence of it actually happening and even less showing the NFL is behind it. Bad calls dont constitute as evidence.
The drama for losing in the AFC championships for the raiders should have been highlighted a bit more for the controversy. Felt like the raiders got shafted that entire span of time.

the NFL is 100% fixed. they might not always get the outcomes they want, but for the most part, all it takes is a few calls or no calls to swing a game, and they do it all the time. just look at last night with jags vs titans. a couple questionable calls wiped out 2 big plays for the titans and thats all it took to get trevor lawerence into the playoffs. the NFL is drooling at the prospect of sunshine becoming one of the faces of the league. but i mean NO wins SB after katrina, the pats win after 911. its so obvious they fix the games, especially if you are big into fantasy football or just a huge fan in general and you watch a lot of football and pay attention to a dozen or so games every week. just this season alone, i bet i watched no less than 35 games with extremely suspect officiating that directly led to the outcome of the game and who won.
One game i remember ... that i just laugh at now but at the time was incredibly frustrating was Seahawks vs Falcons in the playoffs when the Seahawks had Devon Hester and he had three really good returns and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM was called back for holding. I forget which year but Hester on the Seahawks should be enough to find it.. i just don't know if they have those returns on any highlights on youtube.
There is a certain owner that tried to get Roger fired. Instead Roger got a ten year extension. The owner was taken off the committee and his team sometimes very good can’t seem to win a playoff game. I predicted a Rams Super Bowl and now I predict a Bills Super Bowl. The NFL needed the LA market and now the story drama with the Bills means big ratings.
@@rascalmatt6713 yes the Falcon owner was the guy that saved Rogers job. Roger controls the referees and had experience as the head of officiating before he was commissioner.
All very valid points - good research. No professional head coach would change the game plan 2 days before the championship game without ulterior motive, as in SB37. As well as keeping the same verbiage that the opposing coach knows. If the officiating in SB40 wasn't rigged, it is certainly the worst officiating in SB history. The officiating in the Saints/Rams NFC championship game was the absolute worst. Unfortunately, legalized gambling and promotion by the NFL is only going to make this problem worse.
Actually, that is exactly what Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick did prior to SB XXV when they beat the Bills. Belichick changed the defensive game plan and it worked
Lions vs Cowboys game makes you question the whole idea of sports being rigged or 'influenced' The embrace of online gaming also undermines the credibility of all major pro sports leagues.
I think it is VERY POWERFUL to hear a guy like Jerry Rice say the coach threw the game. When NFL players say they think something was rigged and strange things happened why do we question them so much? It's hard to come out and say stuff like that. A lot of people not as successful as Jerry would be ostracized for making comments like that.
If Matt Hasselbeck was saying that about the superbowl (which I don't remember him directly accusing the refs of rigging the game) would he still be on ESPN?

Robbins mental health event was wholly or heavily a result of the change. Super Bowl I’m sure has a certain stress level, but he and others ideally lower it through thorough prep. His statement directly discussing insufficient time for necessary time to prep seems completely rational. Shifting to pass heavy could’ve been an honest change based on film, info, etc. But the HC/staff not having seemingly any significant dialogue with the players before implementing was massively irresponsible at a minimum, and this would be the case without Barret or anyone else being so mentally affected.

After we lost that championship game up in Seattle in 13, my buddy sent me a video called rigged chopping up the bad or non calls in that game. It was pretty disturbing! Same with the superbowl with KC.
Bowman recovered that fumbled & shredded his acl in the process and the ball popped out and they gave it to Seattle after Bowman was clearly touched down
I am not a Atlanta falcons fan , but Super Bowl 51 Atlanta Falcons up 28 to New England Patriots 9 , at the end of the 3rd quarter & New England Patriots score 19 points to Atlanta Falcons 0 to tie the game. Back in the 1980s, I worked in a local family-owned restaurant, and I had to work on the day of Super Bowl XX. My boss, the owner of the restaurant, was there to watch the game on the bar's TV, along with our regulars. Well, when the game started, he told me he was going to make a lot of money on the game, because he knew about some people (organized crime people, I assume) who had fixed the outcome. At the beginning of each quarter, he told me what the score was going to be at the end of each quarter. When he was correct each time, he said to me, "See, I told you. Big money!"

I hadn't considered this until I remembered Seattle's loss by not running Marshan Lynch into the endzone from a half yard out & PASSING??? instead. Worst call in history. Lynch quit football, not just the team. You put the beast in beast mode to plow in!!! How did that NOT happen???
Caroll blew the time management. He was never good at that. I think he was worried about the clock and tried to sneak a pass in so there was time for another running attempt on third down? Plus a timeout. People tend to forget Lynch really wasn’t that great in those situations. He fumbled in the NFC title game the year before from the one. He was someone you wanted to get a head of steam and churn through linebackers and safeties in open space. The fact also was the pass was a good call against that goal line defense … the players didn’t execute. If our receiver sets the pick and the throw isn’t late no one says anything about the call. It would have been a “genius call.” That’s sports. A bad call is always the one the players don’t execute.
Simple if they ran beast mode he would have gotten mvp and he didn't talk to reporters which is a bad look for the nfl. Carrol wanted Wilson to win mvp instead of Brady. The next season on a half yard situation carrol called a Wilson pass again then was the end of legion of boom. Sherman called carrol on it after the game to reporters and left to San Francisco. Seattle hasn't done anything since. BTW carrols assistant did same thing in Atlanta pats superbowl. Try to pass from the 20 yard line with an 8 point lead and got sacked. 3 runs burn the clock and get a extra point for 11 point lead with under 2 minutes is how it should have ended. 2 coaches from Seattle losing 2 superbowls by refusing to run so pats could win.
@@Twotontessie that's exactly what happened. It was just time ticking away and Belichick not calling time out. The crazy thing about people thinking that was rigged or a gimme is that the defensive back has to catch the ball while being run into by the intended receiver. What happens if Butler drops it? How did Butler know it was coming? Did Carroll tell him? If Butler drops it, the Seahawks have two more cracks at the end zone. They also overlook that Seattle made that call to pass precisely because they're thinking, "New England is expecting a run here. Let's throw it and catch them by surprise."
@@joelhague5515 yes this is exactly as I remember it. 1) Seattle was thinking that the LAST thing Pat's were thinking was a run play. 2) However, Butler saw the formation while studying video. He saw two Seattle players lined up in an unusual run type formation and he knew what was coming. 3) Butler barely had time to scream a pass audible, so they caught Seattle with their pants down. 4) The only hope was for Wilson to call an audible or a time out, but he must not have heard Butler shouting that he had sniffed out the play.

Key parts of a game can be changed by one call from a Ref or a Coach or a Quarterback or dropped ball in the end zone . It isn't hard to throw a interception or miss a block on a key play. It can be fixed in many different ways from the owner to the waterboy.

Seattles linemen on offense and defense could not raise a hand above their waists without drawing a holding call while Pittsburg was allowed to do anything. @LTrain45 45 It used to be that JUST the owners were crooked... Now, the league is infested with hoodlums on the field and brigands in the coaching staff and front offices.
You need to make a part 2 and talk about SB 50( the Peyton Manning Bow)l, SB 51 (28-3), The Tampa SB that was hosted in the same city, then the very next year it's the same exact thing in LA (which also includes the infamous no call p.i. in the NFC championship).
Last year's SB was rigged. Refs won the game for Rams in last 2 minutes. And it was the same head ref who won the game in the last 2 mins for the Chief in this year's AFC title game.
incredible coincidence or was it ??? Bengals got ripped in both games particularly vs Chiefs ... they could have won both SB's !!! ... let us hope they own SB 58 !!!

Really well done. I remember watching Super Bowl 30 and Neil O’Donnell throwing the ball literally right to the Cowboys a few times. I always thought that was sketchy
There is so much merit regarding the Raiders/Bucs game and what Tim Brown says about it. In Gruden’s 2nd year as coach as the Raiders, they played the Bucs towards the end of the season and absolutely crushed them running all over them and winning 45-0. The Raiders were loaded that year and it was their time, but Bill Callahan was an a-hole for what he did here and that veteran team knew it.
The BUCS NEEDED JUST A 2 TOUCHDOWN OFFENSE THE D WAS BAD AS.....and they did old Brad Johnson and the offense avg.17points a game and the D done the rest that was DOMINATION YOU KNOW PANTERA DOMINATION
If you trade away your HC, you trade away his playbook. If you keep this playbook and play the guy you traded away, and use his playbook, you ask for disaster. It was Al Davis´ego that cost the Raiders this game.
@greengrass1072 Um whaaat!?!?!? What does any of this prove??? Grudens (first 1998-99) and 2nd year as Raiders coach (1999-2000) they went 8-8. In fact the 3 years before Gruden took over, they were 8-8, 7-9, 4-12... then Gruden took over after that 4-12 season. This is credit more to Gruden in turning a sub-par team around into a decent team. So your "evidence" of a fix is that: • in a regular season game • 3 years removed from these two teams meeting in the SB • one of Gruden's 8 wins that year was an impressive win • Against the team he would then go be the HC coach • THREE years later... • With Gruden making that TB a better team than Dungy had??? Yes, the Raiders offense was impressive that year, but not even close to being historic. However, the separation from 1st/2nd offense wasn't as far as what Gruden's 1st/best defense was doing over the 2nd, 3rd ranked defenses. And all of that was BEFORE they met in the SB! Sorry, this is weak 'evidence' at best.
I feared it but I didn't know until after every call went against them - obvious bad calls that took away points from the Seahawks or gave assistance to the Steelers.
Growing up in the 70's and 80's you would hear the adults talking about how these games were blatantly rigged. Let's not forget how outright laughable boxing matches where when the judges were paid off to vote a certain way
I think there’s even a book out there written in 70s and was about the mafia controlling the scores of games and also a relationship they had with Al Davis and the Raiders.
I'm old enough (75) to remember watching Super Bowl III. There is a factor not discussed. The Colts ran a zone defense which nobody else in pro football ran. Nobody in the NFL had figured out how to attack a zone. The Jets did figure out that zones left short areas open, and Namath did a great job of picking that weakness apart. His short passes acted like a ball control run game. This put a lot of pressure on the Colts offense, which it had not faced all year, since they counted on their defense to get them many offensive chances during the game. Zone secondaries are much more difficult to run against, the Colts defense generated a lot of 3 and outs against other teams, and that didn't happen against the Jets.
i remember watching the game ,I was to young to understand defenses. I know my dad was mad about the game outcome. I also remember Howard Cosell interviewing players...
Spot on. The other thing is in the Colts other loss, in the regular season against Cleveland, they also had several turnovers through the air from both QBs and Browns tailback Leroy Kelly ran wild. The pattern was set if not repeated again for awhile- as good as the Colt passing game was if you could frustrate it and force it to go the length of the field it was possible they might make mistakes. Like Minnesota the next year Baltimore relied on the field position coming from its defense as well, but in this game Lou Michaels kicked very poorly and left those points on the table. (In Super Bowl 4 Minnesota was surprised by the range of KC kicker Jan Stenerud, which gave them less margin for error. ) Far and away the biggest issue was, to your point, the man to man matchup between George Sauer and Lenny Lyles, who was feeling poorly to begin with. The Colts moved their zone to take away the injured Don Maynard and left Lyles, normally a good cornerback to cover Sauer on those short passes one on one. Sauer schooled him. The Jets also changed up their blocking to run left right at Colt DE Ordell Braase, who was getting older at that point and did not hold up (similar again to earlier Cleveland game) against Snell and Boozer on runs to that side. I don’t know if Super Bowl 3 was thrown; looking at it it seems the Colts came out flat and were surprised as heck to be shut out in the first half, then they fumbled the second half kickoff and things got tougher.
@@paulmcgeorge6784 no, they weren't. Their offense just wasn't very good. They were gifted a touchdown and still lost. Their last six possessions in the game were punt, punt, punt, punt, punt, turnover on downs. Stop whining. Get over it. All teams have been "screwed" now and then.
I remember the Hasselbeck blocking call, and everyone did the "HUH"??? What's surprising to me, the refs still had a few seconds to realize the mistake, changing the call...didn't happen.
100% I remember coming home (when I was a teenager) at half time after playing in a hockey game and being shocked that the Jets were leading the Colts. I had not seen the first half and had not seen the shocking events described in this video.
@@jakeaguas In those days prior to SB III (1969), it was just assumed that the NFL was superior (just like we Canadians thought our NHL players were better than the Russians prior to the 1972 USSR-Canada Summit series). I remember watching the 1968 movie Paper Lion in 1968 when it came out. In the movie, the George Plimpton character played by Alan Alda approached Vince Lombardi playing himself about him working out with the Packers in the preseason so he could write a book about his experience. Lombardi baulked at what he thought was a ludicrous idea (as in, come on, we are the NFL, what do you think we are, etc.) and smiled while condescendingly suggesting to Alda that he should try the AFL. I remember thinking like Lombardi after two wins over AFL teams that the AFL was an inferior league, etc.
It's a shame you mentioned NBA ref Tim Donaghee without having read his book. He explains quite clearly how game manipulation was already something being passed down from the top, and that he only took advantage of it.
@@imainfidel7185 when ppl say the matrix, our whole reality is rigged against us. But earth is a school for us to wake up, idk what happens to those who dont.
in the past couple of weeks I've seen a few plays where players didn't look like they tried. One where a guy ran right by a defender who didn't even put his arms out to tackle him. I never used to believe major North american sports were rigged, but I'm open to the idea now.
Just look at the last couple years. Brady goes to Tampa Bay the year they host the SB and they win it surprise surprise it's like a Hollywood story. Same thing with the Rams they just happen to host the SB and win it the same year, coincidence I doubt it
I believe that the key action which allowed the Rams to win Super Bowl LVI had occurred in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter, when the Rams were knocking on the door to the end zone and the Bengals defense were valiantly performing well to preventing them from scoring the go-ahead touchdown. A flag was thrown against the Rams for a known hard foul and the referee was about to announce the call when an official in a white cap ran out of the end zone to the head referee. There was a discussion between the two officials, and after that the head referee called both a hard foul against the Rams and a "judgemental call " against the Bengals defense, thus negating the penalty and replaying the down. This led to a Rams touchdown and changed the way the game continued to having the Bengals offense attempt to make plays in order to at least tie the game and take the game to overtime. The Bengals lost the game, and Goodell happily "congratulated " the Rams owner in the sky box. The final interesting item about the game is that the Super Bowl number could have suggested a nearby neutral site for playing the game so that neither team would have any inherent home field advantage!
Weird stuff happens sometimes by chance. I still think it's a trip that during the world series (yes, I know different sport but bare with me) , in 1989, there was a major earthquake. The bay area had a major earthquake, during the world series, which was held at Candlestick Park, so the bay area suffers an earthquake while the world series is being held there, and not only that, the teams playing in that wold series were both bay area teams. What are the odds of that?? I'd imagine the odds are stronimical. Buti do not doubt that suspicions about the NFL are likely true.
I definitely believe the 2005 Superbowl was fixed against Seattle for the Steelers. I was watching as an impartial fan and couldn't believe the calls on the field. Also the review on Rothlesberger's touchdown wasn't that close. The football was kept behind the end zone line. The Raiders vs Tampa Bay SB might have been fixed, given some of info shared on this video. At the time I just thought Callahan was a bad coach and the distractions with their player going AWOL caused issues. I am not old enough for an opinion on SB 3. I was born later that year. Hard to say if QB had bad day or paid off. The biggest fix of all time was the Lakers vs. Kings game 6, though.
Another Lakers fix that comes to mind was 1988 Finals vs Detroit game 6, a phantom foul with Detroit about a minute away from winning the title sent Kareem to the line and helped Lakers win game 6. I am a lifelong Lakers fan and admit that Kareem was not even touched! You are 100% right about Lakers/Kings game 6!
As a Seahawks fan I noticed a lot. They definitely wanted to push, the busses last ride. They did the same against the Niners with Ray's last dance with Ray Lewis. And I hate the Niners
You have to be completely blind and not see when everything is right there in front of you. One example is how close all the games were this season....
Cowboys viks blowout, 49ers vs damn near anyone usually not close in fact teams who play the week after playing them are 0 n 15 that's a crazy stat smh.
The holding call against Cincy last year was pretty bad. It's 1 thing to not make a call because you missed it, it was bang bang or just weren't sure but it's entirely different when you make a call for holding under 2 min to go in a super bowl when you couldn't have possibly seen it because it didn't happen. Logan Wilson's coverage was text book, exactly how you're taught. Not only do you make a phantom call which is way worse than missing one but you do it after letting both teams play all game not calling Ramsey on blatant holds at least 3 times almost tearing recievers t-shirt under jersey off but then make a phantom call that gives a team 4 more shots at the end zone for a title instead of 1 shot on 4th and goal from the 8.
@@Eightysixers I don't believe either of those games were fixed. And I'm someone really happy that Stafford got a ring. But the league sure did benefit by having the Rams win both games. If some precise analysis by an unbiased AI told me the Rams got 60% of the calls, I wouldn't be shocked.
@@PhilAndersonOutside so how much evidence, over how many games, would you have to see to believe it? The NFL tells us not to believe our own lying eyes, and you believe them lol
Not to mention the no call face mask that gave cincy that td after half time. What goes around comes around. As a ram fan I do agree with that bam bam play at the end though
I feel like it was legitimate along with when the sports card hobby was legitimate, basically up until 1990. You could give it up until 1995, but like my Annual Sports Price Guide even stated, it became a hobby for the rich in 1996! (it rhymes).
I was at a fishing resort sitting at a table with three ExNFL players and a man who is involved with the mob and betting games. They discussed how the refs could influence the game on 2 to 3 calls in key situations to sway the outcome. A lot of money can change hands when this happens and there is a lot of money to be made.
@SEVEN-gy3ub holy heckin tricks, bootlicker! Refs are experts, you can see they saw who declared on video but you being sooo smart you got it all figured out!
The Pittsburgh Seattle bowl was quite blatant. If officials are just having a "bad" day then the calls should be for or against "both" teams and the definitely were not. The entire lead up to the game and then the game itself had just a nasty feel to it. Officials are certainly capable of influencing a game, and they certainly did here. No question about it.
The whole lead up to the game was 2 weeks of everyone only talking about the steelers return to glory and Jerome Bettis playing his last game at the super bowl in Detroit. It was a dead give away who was going to win. Vince McMahon would have done a better job at making it look real.
@************** They played in the weak NFC and even weaker NFC west at that time. The Steelers were a much better football team. It's silly to think the NFL wanted Bettis to win when just weeks earlier the NFL did everything they could to to have their boy Peyton Manning win against the Steelers.
I dont care much for football but this video was so well made that even I sat through the whole thing and felt the anger and frustration of playing a rigged game. Great stuff.

Dungys team Lmfao. It was Monty kiffins defense. And gruden brought enough offense to the table. He won the bowl because he created the raiders play book. Dub by only won with Patton manning calling his own plays and a sub par defense

The most glaring fix I’ve seen was a few years ago when the Rams were gifted the game over the Bengals. For 3 quarters no flags. Then suddenly flags flying at crucial moments that gave the game to the Rams.

Exactly what I say! There is holding on every play, it's just that if the refs want to call it or not...that's their go-to call
Yep, penalty calls effect every outcome.

The year the saints won right after Katrina was obvious to me
What about the year the Saints didn't go to the Super Bowl because of a no-call on a blatant pass interference penalty against the Rams? You can't tell me that something wasn't amiss in that game.

The few years after Katrina the saints were terrible, they overcame a lot and built a superbowl team in the aftermath

Skip Bayless explained how poor Seattle's short yardage run stat was that season. But yeah, shoulda run regardless.
3) Butler barely had time to scream a pass audible, so they caught Seattle with their pants down.

So your "evidence" of a fix is that:
• in a regular season game
• 3 years removed from these two teams meeting in the SB
• one of Gruden's 8 wins that year was an impressive win
• Against the team he would then go be the HC coach
• THREE years later...

(In Super Bowl 4 Minnesota was surprised by the range of KC kicker Jan Stenerud, which gave them less margin for error. )
Far and away the biggest issue was, to your point, the man to man matchup between George Sauer and Lenny Lyles, who was feeling poorly to begin with.
I love seeing the elderly type so coherently.
Nah, it was a conspiracy because my team didn’t win.

So was that free 75 yard TD the Bengals got after that face mask penalty wasn't called and every sports pundit called that out afterwards so yeah.
@@LA_Commander It was quick and the officials simply missed it.
Bengals were definitely robbed of a ring 💍 plus look how terrible the paper champs were this season
Everyone on the Bengals should be on here after last year
100% I remember coming home (when I was a teenager) at half time after playing in a hockey game and being shocked that the Jets were leading the Colts. I had not seen the first half and had not seen the shocking events described in this video.
Dawg how old are you? And also it shouldn’t be shocking cause mostly big upsets happen but I understand why it would be so shocking 🤷
@@jakeaguas " it shouldn’t be shocking cause mostly big upsets happen"..... no they don't. They don't mostly happen..... that's why they're upsets.
I never suspected that the game was fixed at the time or since until I watched this video.@@jakeaguas
@@billyfraiser6298 They do they mostly happen 🤷
It's a shame you mentioned NBA ref Tim Donaghee without having read his book. He explains quite clearly how game manipulation was already something being passed down from the top, and that he only took advantage of it.
The NBA is a game of "runs", that start and end with officiating
@@percyrayjones Just like the NHL but on Ice Skate ⛸️

@@imainfidel7185 when ppl say the matrix, our whole reality is rigged against us. But earth is a school for us to wake up, idk what happens to those who dont.
Sh*t, the Ref's just rigged the Lions Cowboys game yesterday.
in the past couple of weeks I've seen a few plays where players didn't look like they tried. One where a guy ran right by a defender who didn't even put his arms out to tackle him. I never used to believe major North american sports were rigged, but I'm open to the idea now.
Took me a while to come around
I just saw it in Bengals Chiefs game.
What a documentary! Impressive work and story telling!
Those are not the only games that were fixed.
Yes, thanks for this interesting video!
Even the hockey team in Tampa won a couple of titles when Brady went down there
NFL owed Stafford, lol. Making him play in Detroit
@@jessiehoyt9306 After being one of the best teams for years and getting close several times.
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
@David Poplin manning already won one tho Cam was just trash that game
Kings vs Lakers also blazers vs Lakers still gives me nightmares
The Kings should've won a couple of series against the Lakers Facts 💯
You have to be completely blind and not see when everything is right there in front of you. One example is how close all the games were this season....
Too many Superbowl games look "intentionally close" games.
@@joenorris8220 not kansas city vs bucs
Cowboys viks blowout, 49ers vs damn near anyone usually not close in fact teams who play the week after playing them are 0 n 15 that's a crazy stat smh.
Exactly
@Mark Yep and washing blew out the. Cowboys yesterday
The rams last drive in the NFFCG seemed sus as well.
Holding is a somewhat discretionary call and it happens on almost every play. I absolutely believe this is a tool they use.
It's feeling more and more like the NFL....has turned into the WFE (WORLD FOOTBALL ENTERTAINMENT)
It's always been entertainment, but it was more entertaining to watch, when it was legitimate, if it ever was legitimate.
We saw this with the lions and cowboys just recently. I believe you.
Nah, Seattle just wasn't really all that good.
@@chrisd913 Thank you. No, I'm not a Steelers fan.
@@chrisd913 they had Alexander and like he said the best offense on nfl
@************** They played in the weak NFC and even weaker NFC west at that time. The Steelers were a much better football team. It's silly to think the NFL wanted Bettis to win when just weeks earlier the NFL did everything they could to to have their boy Peyton Manning win against the Steelers.

The Raiders loss in the SuperBowl was all Callahan. Gruden knew the plays because Callahan used Grudens playbook and audibles. Heck even the late great Madden while commentating the game was able to tell which play the Raiders were going to run from the booth!
The MVP of that Bucs SuperBowl was Dwight Smith and during a radio interview he said it was rigged. He said he believes every SuperBowl is fixed.
Super Bowl XL made pro wresting look legit! I watched the game with my jaw on the floor! Also, Jon Gruden "won" the Super Bowl with Tony Dungy's team!
Dungy would have choked like he has most of his career. If it weren’t from the Bears somehow finding their way in, he’d have zero rings.

Dungys team Lmfao. It was Monty kiffins defense. And gruden brought enough offense to the table. He won the bowl because he created the raiders play book. Dub by only won with Patton manning calling his own plays and a sub par defense
After learning what sort of corruption was rampant in all aspects of society later, I can look back and say that the evidence was well worth investigating further in these cases and even regular season games, with the refs! As a result, I no haven't watched pro football in almost a decade.
When I found out it was rigged I did as well.

The most glaring fix I’ve seen was a few years ago when the Rams were gifted the game over the Bengals. For 3 quarters no flags. Then suddenly flags flying at crucial moments that gave the game to the Rams.
