Arp 2600 Behringer Envelope Follower with Microphone

A quick video showing demonstrating the envelope follower. How do you guys use this feature? Looking for creative, musical uses for this.

Pete Townshend used the 2600 envelope follower to create the "synth" sound in "Who Are You" by plugging his electric guitar into it.

What sort of microphone?

I found some old, dynamic microphones that were designed to plug into a cassette tape recorder. That's what I use. But any dynamic will work, as long as you can get it plugged into the 1/8 inch port.
