This has to be the most ironic song GG ever did. I mean, it's a cautionary song! Ha! Almost a plea against self-destruction. But in just a few years... Oh it's also one of his best songs!

Granite State is the best state in the union. GG though did grow up mostly in St. Johnsbury VT, school years at least. The GG Allin wiki rabbit hole is a trip. And Vermont is upside down if you haven't noticed.
GG originally wrote a different set of lyrics to go with this music. Originally, it was called, "I Used To Be Fucked Up On Drugs {But Now I'm Drugged Up On Fucks}". He did record it with the original lyrics, but later changed it to what it is here. I was surprised.
GGs work with the jabbers is mostly pure gold in my opinion... occupation, bored to death, don't talk to me, the song from this video.....for the early years of American punk these songs are fucking awesome!
@Durandal1717 - Actually it's The MC2 & The Jabbers. There's Wayne on Lead Guitar, myself on Rhythm Guitar, Alan Chapple on bass, Dennis Thompson on drums, & GG on vocals.
I personally dont think he actually meant what he was saying or doing when on stage or in interviews, he lived his life as a social experiment and society's reaction was the target. He wanted to, and did, prove that we are all animalistic in nature and when put in certain dramatic situations most of us act the same. Sadly the drug abuse destroyed any chance of him being able to come out same or obviously alive. Call it garbage or smut but realistically he showed society what they needed to see end of story. Piece of shit scumbag, yes, but he stood for something and people willingly paid to see it.

RIP GG! Punk really never dies because of it's outlaw spirit to be as loud, rude and obnoxious as possible and GG really pushed the bar higher than anyone else in that regard. Not even Jimmy Gestapo or Vinnie Stigma were ever as rude or crude as GG (funny as hell, yeah but...), the only person who was his equal was the late great El Duce from the Mentors...! Not even Anti-Nowhere League could compare to the crudeness of GG Allin, he was one of a kind!

Kyle Pittman From what I've heard and read, G.G. and Gacy got along fairly well. I consider myself an anarchist of sorts, but if he were left to his vices, I believe G.G. would be on the other side of the cage. Especially the way the laws are now a daze. NOBODY will ever be able to get away with what he was doing without being locked up for a WAAAYYY longer time than G.G. ever was without dying in the process.
I saw some of Gacy's paintings in person; there is a very, very, dark and ominous vibe put off by them dude. Just knowing that he had touched and put little bits of himself into the painting and onto the canvas was strange as it gave you the feeling that there is some kind of added element that you could transmute physically, in this case a little bit of darkness made its way onto the canvas. I would not let anything like that in my house dude.
