May not have another chance for a while. This gun is new and loads of fun with plenty of features that out weigh the 527. But the 527 is such a classic sweat heart. Sorry man, that’s a tough call.
I have not contacted them yet on the issue, but i also dont see it as so abnormal. My mini14 would do the same thing... pretty sure i had another boltaction (cant remember which one) that would do the same.
Thank you for this nice and professional video. I have one question: which rail you use to mount the optic? And which kind of sights? I lole them very much. Thanks and greetings from Italy ✌
Want to comment because you said something I don't hear often these days - "I like to have iron sights on my bolt actions." I've been in the market for a bolt gun that has irons (for target shooting at my local range) for a long while, but they're hard to come by. There's the 2 or 3 scout rifles, some traditional internal magazine-fed hunting rifles, and some 100-year old rifles.... but not much else. And the vast majority of them are in .308 or 30-06. This CZ 600 Trail sounded appealing, though. What sort of irons did you put on yours? How well do they function (if you've used them)? Thanks for the video, regardless - it was definitely helpful.
I had a basic set of “OTW” ?? Brand on there just to have flip up back up. But I also ran a set of CZ scorpion irons, but that required me to remove the little cheek piece to get low enough to comfortably see them. Surprisingly it wasn’t too bad chin welding the bars on the stock.
It’s a design flaw if the bolt is putting dents in the ammo in the magazine. And reloading this ammo will be dangerous. For this cost I’d expect more out of this rifle. Can get a lot more rifle for this amount of money from other companies. Is this a nitch rifle yes it is with the collapsible stock and being a bolt gun however for the money just not something I am interested in.
Nice video! I have a question about the bolt: Some people claim that although it doesn't have a Mauser type action, the rifle provided a controlled feeding of the rounds. And since the 600 series of rifles is much more expensive than the 527 and 557 I think it would not be too much to ask for. What's your impression?
It is not a Mauser action, for sure. But it is a semi controlled feed acting. The cartridge will actually spring up onto the bolt head where it is captured and presented to the chamber. It’s a smooth action and seems very reliable with the 200rds that I have in it so far
I am absolutely getting one. I hope they do make it in 308 eventually as well but here is the points ive wanted: Rail all the way across the top for my choice of iron sights, what good is a rifle with no sights if your scope breaks in the field Ar mags, this is huge Smooth action with rediculiously strong case ejection, i dont know how many times ive tried running bolt guns fast and they jam, unless they are the mauser non rotating claw style, and this gun actually has a version of that. Look at that brass fly. Collapsible stock. This thing is super light and tiny for transport. Its perfect for the trail as its name implies, but transport, weight, this thing is easy peasy. its also just going to be a fun, functional shooter. Yes, you can buy an ar cheaper, i have them, but running a bolt has its place and frankly its fun as hell. Thanks for the video man.
I wish they just made a 527 which takes AR mags, has a clip guide, and used a 3-position Ruger/Winchester safety. Instead they just abandon the only micro-Mauser action anyone makes and replace it with a gun which chews up it's own brass. I'm sure it's accurate, I'm sure it's light, I'm sure it's handy, and I'm sure it's not for me. I don't think it'll enjoy the success the 527 did, and I pray they have an improved 527 on the drawing board.
Ive got one in .223. I love it for a snowmachine gun here in Alaska. They messed up one big thing with it though: They made the barrel a 1 in 7 twist so it can handle the heavy long bullets, except....They made it with AR-15 mags, which dont allow the super long bullets 😩. Defeats the purpose of having the 1-7 twist. The long eld and 90 grainers dont fit in the mags! Id be perfectly fine with a proprietary magazine that allows a longer C.O.A.L.
Nice to see somebody appreciates bolt action rifles. Nice presentation dude!

@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel I forgot to mention that I just sold my 527 7.62x39 because of few problems. Maybe I'm too picky with my rifles but if any of them create some problem I'm getting rid of it (including Sako S-20). So far the ONLY rifle without any problems is my 70 years-young Winchester 94 :) ... and CZ 600 Lux is working great so far.
@@waldemar4919 just curious. What was the issue with the 527
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel 1st problem was the mag with bad feeding the rounds. Finally needed to buy another mag. 2nd, very first day on the range I lost the obviously badly installed rear sight. Not big deal because I used the scope. CZ parts support never answered when I asked for help to find the replacement. Finally, after several months my gunsmith has found one for me.
Man Thanks for this fantastic presentation video
Sling set up looks great. What is it ?
Amazing video. Would you recommend this over a cz 527?? I'm seriously torn
Tough call. They are two completely different animals. Not to mention, CZ stopped making the 527 now. So if that’s a gun you want, pick it up when you can find it. May not have another chance for a while. This gun is new and loads of fun with plenty of features that out weigh the 527. But the 527 is such a classic sweat heart. Sorry man, that’s a tough call.
@@ZRUSOutdoorsChannel thank you for the detailed response. I will have to mill it over . Cheers
Merci pour cette très bonne présentation de cette arme spécifique ✌️
Do you prefer the magpul grip? I find if I shoot alot the safety hits my hand I wonder if it's removable on one side
I’d have jumped on board but I don’t particularly care for the polymer chassis. Seems to be a kick ass rifle though.
I love it, Long time no see!!!
Been on a break for some time. Trying to get back in the swing!
Great video man, I appreciate your opinion!!
I like that gun too! Might have to look for one for myself! Thanks for the video
Its excellent! Ill have more videos with it soon.
Any additional information on the denting cases problem with CZ 600 trail?
I have not contacted them yet on the issue, but i also dont see it as so abnormal. My mini14 would do the same thing... pretty sure i had another boltaction (cant remember which one) that would do the same.
Thank you for this nice and professional video. I have one question: which rail you use to mount the optic? And which kind of sights? I lole them very much. Thanks and greetings from Italy ✌
I want one in 300 blackout
Did you find the AR scope mount or traditional rings to be a better fit height wise?
Surprisingly it wasn’t too bad chin welding the bars on the stock.
what ammo do you use ? specially what bullet weight ?
Can the cheek piece be moved to the other side?
I was super excited for the 7.62x39 version but it looks like that one is never coming out. 😑
It will. I hear they will be introducing 300black as well.
They are FINALLY available, two years after their announcement! Just ordered a 7.62x39 version last night! 😄👍
I just got the in stock notification and am heavily considering 🤤
thank you ,sir.
I’d like to hear from other cz600 trail owners if they have the same issue with the bent cases. I have a mini14 that would do the same thing.
LOL
Would love to see one in 6.5 Grendel.
I am absolutely getting one. I hope they do make it in 308 eventually as well but here is the points ive wanted:
Rail all the way across the top for my choice of iron sights, what good is a rifle with no sights if your scope breaks in the field
Ar mags, this is huge
Smooth action with rediculiously strong case ejection, i dont know how many times ive tried running bolt guns fast and they jam, unless they are the mauser non rotating claw style, and this gun actually has a version of that.
LOP looks short to me…and does it handle 5.56 also?
Yes. European gun makers do not differentiate the .223 from 5.56.
They now need to chamber it in 350 Legend.
so will a AR mag fit into the CZ or does it require a mag made by CZ ??
It takes AR mags, but it seems most metal AR mags won’t fit.
Can the stock be swapped out?
shoot in can 5.56 ?

I wish they just made a 527 which takes AR mags, has a clip guide, and used a 3-position Ruger/Winchester safety. Instead they just abandon the only micro-Mauser action anyone makes and replace it with a gun which chews up it's own brass.
I'm sure it's accurate, I'm sure it's light, I'm sure it's handy, and I'm sure it's not for me. I don't think it'll enjoy the success the 527 did, and I pray they have an improved 527 on the drawing board.
Great video 👍👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ok I'm sold at 1:40 ish 😂
Sick!
Oh they missed the ball for a 6 arc version. Make a damn nice truck gun
What muzzle brake is that?
Think its just an a2 birdcage
Torn between this and an alpha.
Definitely two completely different animals
that thing needs a maxim defense stock
帥
The classic bolt action AR 15 California assault riffle. Lmao. It's youtube Gun-Fu. 😂
Almost did then I remembered I already own ar15s
CZ gang
Yeah Buddy!!
Ive got one in .223. I love it for a snowmachine gun here in Alaska. They messed up one big thing with it though:
They made the barrel a 1 in 7 twist so it can handle the heavy long bullets, except....They made it with AR-15 mags, which dont allow the super long bullets 😩. Defeats the purpose of having the 1-7 twist. The long eld and 90 grainers dont fit in the mags!
Id be perfectly fine with a proprietary magazine that allows a longer C.O.A.L.
Make it in 243.
Otherwise, no.
it is like a big pistol, accuracy is garbage lol
Im making 1inch groupings with mine at 400 yards.
@@Sprtann hey great results. but can you post a link here
Ok...what's the cost?
1000 to 1100$ what I have seen for now
I picked this one up new for under 1k
De todo el universo de rifles esté luce bien y práctico para hacer tiros , en mi país doble moral no tenemos el derecho de poseer armás cómo estás
