Love it. Next one should be even more complicated: build the inside too, so you can take apart some panels and see the reactor core, and the super laser canon inside. What I would also love to see is the second Death Star fully completed, not the partial as we saw it on the movie, but what it would look if it was fully completed, which it is very different than the first Death Star. Cheers.
Hello! thx for your comment :) we like it! We are now working on the 160cm star destroyer! after, we need to make a 160cm Death Star II, this model have some detail you liked! Your idea is interesting and we had already considered creating a model like this, perhaps based on our 60cm Death Star (the smallest one we made after the large one, you can see on our Instagram page) based on that model yes could create a CUT OFF of the Death Star, exactly how you would like it! For now unfortunately we don't have any of our customers interested in such a model, and without orders it wouldn't be feasible as at the moment we don't have much time to dedicate to creating "our" models, all our time is dedicated to the production of the material dedicated to customers at the moment! But stay tuned, because there will be great news soon!
omg SERIOUSLY impressed by you guys, you've literally built my dream right there lol, This lit up in a darkened room gives me that feeling it's full of life and activity inside, kinda like a city lol but ofc a battlestation. Fantastic! I love it!
Utterly awesome…. The hangar line is incredible…. My only ‘observation’ would have been to have much tinier lights on the surface and fewer of them… but I realise I’m nitpicking….its a fantastic achievement and please don’t feel I’m criticising. Just an observation. 😇❤️
In the meantime, thanks for your comment! It's nice when someone appreciates your work! Your observation is true, we could have inserted fewer lights, and found a thinner optical fiber, we'll try to do better with the second Death Star! Thanks again for givin us your time!
Absolutely Gorgeous!!!! Wow!!!! I would love to see you guys build a Nostroma or Time Square with video screens that would be great. I wish there was a contact for customers
I am just speechless.....like wow....That is absolutely breath taking!! I cannot even fathom how long it took you to make it. Mind me asking what you used as a guide or did you have to envision a lot of the finer details!! Such an awesome piece of work!! Congratulations!!
hello there! thx :) we studied the references that we found during a couple of weeks of research, including making offs and photos on the sets, furthermore, given that I wanted to have a model that was halfway between the one seen in the first film and the one seen in Rogue One many things have been "reimagined" and added to give more detail to the model!
Hello Konnichiwa, we are making the prototype, we want to make a small series of 8 pieces, 60cm large with the same details as the large model, keep following us for more info!
Thanks for your interest! It took us about 4 months to create the model, almost 30 days of preparation between drawings and planning. As regards the costs of the material, it is around 800/1000 euros, PETG filament, about a liter of resin, 50 meters of optical fibre, wood for the frame, Arduino, power supplies and paints!
The thing about all Death Star models that bothered me is that not a single window would be visible from any distance where you could see the whole station. The ones you can see would have to be gigantic, like the size of a skyscraper.
@pmuno007 hello, you can follow us on fb and instagram, Precious Showcase, also on our web site, www.precious-showcase.com we need to upgrade the site, with eshop and english version!
the files are very confusing because they were not designed to be assembled as a kit, we will see over time to create something more precise if this is of interest!
Too bad it's not at all accurate. The paintwork is all wrong too. Just goes to show that no matter how much computerized technology you use, it still comes down to the skill of an artist with an eye for details that makes or breaks a project like this.
I appreciate any kind of comment, especially constructive criticism, can you give me advice on how to improve the quality of my work? I would be grateful!
@@preciousshowcase534 Well, the most obvious thing is to dig around and find as many pictures of the real thing for reference as you can (there are a lot of ref pix out there as well as in books) and learn how to re-create details you see there rather than guess at it. For example, there are many shades of gray on the death star and none are as dark as the dark panels on yours. The laser dish is also too big. It more closely matches the "unfinished" one seen in ROTJ. The one seen in ANH is quite a bit smaller in proportion to the main sphere. I'd give you reference but one cannot post pictures or files here in this chat.
@@jimsmalleimb7709 Starting from the assumption that the original model is smaller than mine, as you know, it is a plexiglass sphere painted only half, using two different shades of grey with shadow, furthermore I would like to point out that I used original blue prints for the dimensional reference, and for the details I based myself on the renders used for Rogue One, given that as I said before the original model is "only" painted and therefore has no three-dimensional texture, so I had to keep faithful to the original project by adding the details seen in Rogue One, such as the line of hangars for the star destroyers and the smaller ships. Believe me, the research carried out was more than painstaking. Obviously, since we are not talking about extremely detailed models like those of Star Trek (where the lore explains to us exactly every single component of the ship, facilitating any possible scale reproduction) there are things that must be interpreted according to one's own style, so it is obvious that there These are my details, given that it is a home-built model. I hope I was explanatory, thanks for your interest!
Damn! You did an amazing job!!! I fell in love with this as the video progressed. It shows all the potential the original could have done. Excellent. As far as accuracy. It's well represented if anything this could be the Death Star upgraded to a new timeline. George would love this!!!

Ciao Marco, si tratta di listelli da 70mm x 4mm x 2mm, tagliati con il laser
