I have watched several of your programmes on centenarians. One thing they all appear to have in common: they all seem to be content with their lot in life. They accept their situation and what they have in life, and make the most of it. To me, this seems to be a very important 'ingredient' for a long, healthy life. All the people that have been interviewed for this series have been truly delightful people. Not one of them moaned or groaned about anything. This is an inspiration for us all.
I’m from the island of Sardinia ,I must say from all the elderly people I meet and hangout with, they all never complained about their life or waking up early and doing hard work.they work early come back for lunch take naps than go back to work ,after dinner they go out for a walk and meet with others outdoors and sit together laugh and play games or just simply sit and watch what is going on in their surrounding. They are calm and don’t stress , they are very active until their end. My grandma died of the age of 96 . I met many over the age of 100 and their mind was still sharp. I love this kind of documentary.
@@immap5709 Your description of the life of Sardinians is precisely why they live so long, I feel sure. They live stress-free, contented lives. I bet they eat very healthily, too. People living modern lives have much to learn from your compatriots. 👍 Stay safe! Stay well! And keep on enjoying life!

Guys thank you for putting this together, there is hope for Russia to improve the longevity and care for their people. The only thing i was disappointed about were the conditions the old folks were/are living in. Please take care of those centenarians, we all learn so much from them.

@@dorianphilotheates3769 Legends passed down through word of mouth is not all rubbish. There is always some element of truth to it. For sure, the universe was not created by man and for sure the universe can't create itself. So, the conclusion is that something or someone created this whole magnificent seemingly endless universe that has programs installed in every creature. If you know something about programming, you will know how difficult it is to make a program like Excel. Now, try to make a program for a simple thing like "a flower"; it's seeds, its lifecycle, its reaction to sun, water, wind, soil, etc. Mankind, though we think we are smart, still can't create a self-seeding and self-propagating grass. Don't even bother with creating an animal or human. The God that created "us" the entire universe is beyond what you and I can even imagine. The created can't possibly understand the creator.
LiG BZd - On the face of it a reasonable argument-but of course scientifically false. If one presumes creation a creator is necessary. But this hypothesis is not the only one. We now know that it is conceivable for the cosmos to have come into being ‘ex nihilo’ . The Greeks understood this twenty-six centuries ago and science has now proven it. As for a Divine Creator, “nous n’avons plus besoin de cette hypothèse...”
@@dorianphilotheates3769 Mankind's science efforts or projects are merely discovering more and more of God's supreme power. We are simply seeing all the genius rules and creation (I call it programs) put in place by this "God" when we discover things like DNA, the law of gravity, minerals, particles, and etc...etc..etc. People used to live to 300+ (mentioned in the Bible) years old during the time when the earth had absolutely no contamination from man. The earth was pristine (clean water, air, and fertile soil). People ate the best food, drank the best water, and breathed the best air. And they don't have stress like we do today. So, who is to say that under these supreme living conditions, one can't live to 300 years old?? We can't use our "current" life and/or earth conditions to judge what could or couldn't happen 10,000 years ago. The Bible is like a word of mouth historical text collected and passed down by many people. So, yes, some of it may be exaggerated, but there are many elements of truth in it that may be hard to believe "today" because our living conditions have changed dramatically... People can live to 110 today under terrible conditions. If the conditions are perfect...I believe people can and did lived to 300+. Who created God? If something can be created out of nothing, then who created nothing? There has to have a first of something or nothing. And being a human, I'm not designed by God to understand this. Much like a goat can never understand a human.
@@dorianphilotheates3769 Think about this. Why humans can't live beyond 100 if turtles, whales, and trees can? Trees, a simple being, can live a thousand years given the "right" conditions. Humans, I believe, can live several hundred years (just like the legend Bible says) if we are given the "right" conditions as well.
