Rest in Peace Mako. The life of Uncle Iroh is so colorful but sad and so full of conflict. He is by far the most interesting and most mysterious character in the series. They should create series based on his life. His story when he saved the dragons, when he lost his son, when he formed the white lotus, how he dealt with the murder of his father, his road to redemption and so much more...
While I would love to see that. And I would enjoy every second that I watched it on screen. I think that as you said, the mystery and intrigue that he has is amazing. Having all of my questions answered would take something about him away. Right now Uncle Iroh is the kind-hearted mentor who will always be there to pick you up when you fall. I would love to learn more about him. But I also love the character as he is.

But at the same time, adding a whole nother back story; can loose the Soul of what they have already achieved from before and what the viewers loved about him. That is why in many cases, when film companies go in that direction it ends up being poor and have a damaging impact to the original series. A true story writer know’s when to answer the question and when to leave them unanswered, leaving it as a mystery. There are two things to consider about this. 1. (The Writer thought or had of an answer for it, but left it out because it wasn’t nesscary) 2. ( The Writer didn’t have an Answer) sometimes the best thing is leave it a mystery As ‘Uncle Iroh’ said to the (Fortune Teller) ‘Aunt Wu’: “At my age there is really only one big surprise left, and I'd just as soon leave it a mystery.”
It’s all a matter of words, if only Zuko owned a thesaurus he could have said something like “You must look within to save yourself from your own darkness, only then will you truly know who you are,”
Meditated to this and shed tears of joy. The sense of relief that struck me when Iroh said "I know we've had some difficult times lately. We've had to struggle just to get by. But it's nothing to be ashamed of." Was overwhelming. I truly feel like, deep down, we carry some level of shame when we struggle through our lives. As if it is our fault, or on our shoulders, when the weight of the world and our responsibilities are heaviest. But here, today, know that there is know shame. We all struggle to get by. We all go through hard times. Together, we will find the light at the end of our tunnel. I love you all. Namaste.
That is such a lovely thing to hear but how do you meditate when a distacting video is playing?? do you consciously listen to it or just use as a background... -confused girl who is new to meditation here
@@aslhancanik5421 Welcome to a whole new world (of meditation)! I play the track to receive the energy and sensations of the sounds. But my conscious mind doesn't focus on them. I let my ears hear, but my mind focuses on my breathing to keep my mind centered in the moment. As long as I remind myself to breath and breath out, I can let the background thoughts come and go, but never be controlled by them. When I heard Iroh's words, I didn't just hear. I felt. And by breathing, the words didn't become a distraction but a feeling. And by breathing through the feeling I felt the root of it and how it made me feel in return. But as long as your focus is on the breathing and the feeling, you won't get distracted. And even if you do get distracted, breath on and the distractions will flow down the river. 🙏🏻🤟🏻

Unlce Iroh will always be one of my favorite comfort characters. He is the one I go to again and again when I am struggling because he gives me the love & support that I need & haven't received. The advice & guidance he provides is a lighthouse that I can always navigate with. I miss him like someone I've known & loved all my life. "It is time for you to look inward and start asking yourself the big question: who are YOU, and what do YOU want?"
at first, Irohs Voice confused me a little, but the longer i listened, the more i noticed i am waiting for another lifeadvice :D I love Irohs Character in the series and am aspiring to be like him when i am a grandma myself :D

To be honest i listened to couple of those mixes with Iroh after rewatching the series now, when so much change is going on in my life, i feel like when i hear his short lines and i meditate to the music i am not alonr in my appartment, like i am really having a tea with a good friend. Who knows ,maybe we are all connected through the spirit world , just like the swamp episode 🙂

But it was kinda a nice wake up call for my ego and world view. It’s so easy to let your newfound growth cloud your perspective and cause you to make silly mistakes because of it. I hope you’ve been doing well since as well, I just came back to this video to help relax after watching some particularly spooky wendigoon content.

I really want to make an audio thats pretty much just iroh talking the listener as they have tea together. And just him being himself, talking about tea and other nice things, supporting you. Bc honestly thats the only therapist i would ever need Buut for one, i'm already the therapist friend (for some reason) in my group, and i have no idea what to say or how to deal with others problems or emotions as it is, so idk how i'd come up with the words to speak for iroh of all people. 2, idk how I'd get his voice, or the motivation to make anything like this. But, this is close enough :]

I really want to make an audio thats pretty much just iroh talking the listener as they have tea together. And just him being himself, talking about tea and other nice things, supporting you. Bc honestly thats the only therapist i would ever need
Buut for one, i'm already the therapist friend (for some reason) in my group, and i have no idea what to say or how to deal with others problems or emotions as it is, so idk how i'd come up with the words to speak for iroh of all people. 2, idk how I'd get his voice, or the motivation to make anything like this.

That would be such a gift, to find someone just like him to support you. I think though the best way to help a lot of the time is just to be there to listen ❤️

To honor mako sama I will make his Jasmine Dragon Tea Shop a reality and to remember him the song he sang will play every time on the day of his death Leaves from the Vine. Apart from that his tsungi horn music will be played in the shop and I'll have a few of his quotes on the walls for inspiration

It is the liuqin, which is what Leavew from the Vine sounds like…however I read they only used the pipa in ATLA so I can’t be sure if it is accurate.
Are there any statues of Iroh built in his honor in the Avatar World or in the New Republic? I would built one if I could!
