omg yes, i love this series. would love to hear the insights of the highlighted brands and how each one of them came into existance. I love Gris Charnel, it reminds me of a sandlewood infused milk chai with a light layer of cardamom and coconut shreds sprinkled on top.
bdk has transformed into my favourite brand this year! For 1. I feel like I if I could only wear one brand for the rest of my life, bdk gives me the broadest variety were I end up loving each one, Gris charnel is my go to comfort perfume through out the year, for theatre, opera or fancy bars or restaurants I love pas ce soir. Party night, of course, is reserved for rouge smoking. As a Chypre lover, French bouquet is another go to for me and Creme de cuir is the only one from the brand that my partner wears more than I do, in summer citrus riviera is also a go to for both of us! Then 2. How amazing are these flakons, the packaging and the stories behind it? Not to forget how charismatic the founder is. And then 3. A point which often is not talked about within the fragrance community: bdk is cruelty free (which a lot of brands are not) overall I love love love it, also amazing Interview
This was so awesome, love in general seeing different prospectives on perfumes, even more so when talking with the creator. I definitely am falling in love with this brand, for the amazing scents, but also, I definitely love when perfumes describe a moment in time. One of my all-time favorites is Jazz Club from the Maison Margiela Replica line, and I enjoy several perfumes from that line in general, and I love them also for the same reason! Plus, the quality in BDK is out of this world for me, I definitely love complex fragrances, and this brand hits it out of the park. I've smelled most of them, loved them all. Thank you for this video Demi! Also, side note, I thoroughly appreciate the fact that you asked if we want a discount code, and then you tell us it's gonna be available soon ! My trust in you as a content (and soon a perfume!) creator definitely went up (even more), thank you so much.
Great interview. My favorites are: 1) Tubereuse Imperiale, 2) Pas Ce Soir and 3) Gris Charnel, so far. Tyvm, Demi.❤😘 Note: Demi, i think you gotta improve the sound for future interviews 😊.
I love this brand and I love more beacuse David family was Hungarian and he did a fragrance to honor his grandmother and motherland. Such a nice soul. Exceptional. Thanks Demi for the interview!
Good on you, Demi. Great video. As a French born Australian lady I feel somewhat connect to you both and certainly very curious about the brand.... Sending much love from Australia 🇦🇺 😘🌈🌺
I think the description from Tuberose Imperiale is talking about me 😂 but at the same time I love the story about Bouquet de Hongrie. If it weren’t for my mom and grandma I don’t think I’d love perfume as much too. I think that would be such a beautiful scent. Wish I could afford one 😭 one day!
It would be a great idea Demi; it seems to me that, it is the beginning of a new era in your carrier ...... ! i will also look foreword the try BDK ..... !
Interesting to know he loves Crème de cuir so much! That’s one that surprised me but I ended up having to have a full bottle! It’s absolutely stunning such a soft leather
I loved this! it so special to hear the parfumers own thoughts, feelings and the idea behind the parfumes❤️ You are such a great interviewer👏👏🌹 you but the light on him, and let him shine.
Love this series! Absolutely adore hearing the inspirations behind each fragrance & just getting to know the creators! Everyone has a story and it’s beautiful! 💕 Great Jon Demi!
Demi we want you to make a review on RAWLING EDT vs RAWLING EDP...you such a great name fit to be a house perfume!...just step further and rock the fragrance world with RAWLING PERFUME.
Hey Demi. Great content. I just picked up a bottle of Peter Jacobs Imperial Bleu because I couldn't not buy it. I haven't found any reviews of it on UA-cam and am wondering if I'm the only one who loves this gem. Hopefully you'll agree with me that it deserves more attention than it and to be getting. Thank you
You should really try Youth Dew by Estée Lauder and Tabu by Dana. I know you like niche fragrances and these might be something you’d like. They have similar notes to niche fragrances released nowadays, but people say they smell “outdated” just because they came out 60+ years ago. That really annoys me.
Sorry, this is a totally random question and not one that necessarily pertains solely to this series .. .. but I’m wondering (and have always wondered) how long can a fragrance sit on your shelf at home before it goes “bad” ..? Like many others, I notice that I go in spurts with my fragrances. I don’t have many fragrances at one time, just about 10 or so, and I tend to rotate them but gravitate to some more than others .. so those others sit without being used for months and months and months. Just wondering if they should be tossed out after awhile :(
Mel C yes thx, I do know that ...but how many years ? 2-3 yrs? 5 yrs? 10 yrs ?? THAT’S what I’m trying to figure out. I think I’ve had a few bottles for well over 5 yrs ... And what’s “properly stored?” Simply out of direct light & heat ? Thx ......
Kimberly Bellefontaine depends on the brand/quality but average is 5 years. With that being said, some can last longer. As long as there’s no signs it’s gone bad, it’s perfectly fine to keep using it. And properly stored just means out of direct heat or sunlight like you said, and cooler temperature. A closet is a perfect place to store bottles that aren’t being used
I will absolutely be looking foreword BDK ; I don,t know about the microphones..... I was listening very well, but if it is something that you can improve, it is ok .....
What was the scent you both discussed after Pas ce Soir ??? Something w/ cerise (cherries) ?? Side note here: WOW, this stupid autocorrect would NOT allow me to type “ce” 🙄🙄🙄 took me 12 tries overriding the autocorrect and would only allow it if I didn’t insist on capitalizing it, sheesh. Guess I need a French keyboard lol !
i do like this kind of interview but in the beginning when you panned from the shelf to the couch, it was too backlit and made it really hard to see your face. i saw someone say you should invest in microphones and i second that. it was pretty echo-y in the room.
Yes his grandpartents were Hungarian this why the name Bouquet de Hongrie. Csak atcsatoltak Romaniahoz ahol élt a Nagymama. A román követők, meg örülnek, hogy román, de nem ő egy magyar felmenokkel rendelkező francia :)
What do you guys think about making this a series? (interviewing the founders of niche and designer brands) 🧐
I think that's such a good idea!! I'd love to watch this series :) ❤️
Very enjoyable Demi. X a lovely interview.
Yes to this being a series ! This gentleman is just lovely and you really did a superb job of allowing him to shine:).
Would love to see more of this type series
I think it would be sensational to get some insight from these founders of niche and designer brands, enjoyable content for sure.😊

Oh wow!! You’re so right 😍 that’s the perfect description
YUM !!! Makes me want to try this fragrance now .. because I love every single scent you just described .. they’re all amongst my very top favorites !
Very interesting series. You should really invest in some microphones though, the quality of the sound is not where is should be for such videos.
Totally agree I almost didn’t watch it because the Ecco Like sound is so annoying and can’t really pay attention to this great content

I want Pas Ce Soir soo bad 🥰 It sounds like the perfect perfume for me 👠
It’s one of the best!! So so sexy and intoxicating 😍
Please get Microphones Demi, to improve the sound quality. There’s too much reverberation. Otherwise nice interview.
Yes, I’m aware! Will definitely get some better microphones if I continue to do the series! 😊
Wow he’s ROMANIAN ❤️ now I love this more! He must have good taste... can’t wait to try it :)

🧡💜❤️ WOW! How fabulous you scored an interview with David Benedek. I really watched in awe. ❤️💜🧡
I loved this! it so special to hear the parfumers own thoughts, feelings and the idea behind the parfumes❤️ You are such a great interviewer👏👏🌹 you but the light on him, and let him shine.
Exactly!! David is wonderful and hearing about how he was inspired to create each scent was so nice to hear 🥰
Love this series! Absolutely adore hearing the inspirations behind each fragrance & just getting to know the creators! Everyone has a story and it’s beautiful! 💕 Great Jon Demi!

Loved this interview!! I enjoy listening to the creators of the parfums I own and the beautiful history behind its so inspiring...

Way to go Demi ...” when you’re hot you’re hot “...go with the one that “ feels “ right not just the money 💴 ( but that too)
♥️

As long as they’re properly stored, fragrances don’t go “bad” for years

i do like this kind of interview but in the beginning when you panned from the shelf to the couch, it was too backlit and made it really hard to see your face. i saw someone say you should invest in microphones and i second that. it was pretty echo-y in the room.

Your accent has changed so much
I guess it’s because I’ve been living with my French boyfriend for 8 months so his accent has rubbed off on me. I didn’t notice
What actually is her accent ?
A R it’s Australian but I hear a lot of French in it now
Demi Rawling Still in Aus?
Is he Hungarian? He has a Hungarian name.
Yes his grandpartents were Hungarian this why the name Bouquet de Hongrie.
Csak atcsatoltak Romaniahoz ahol élt a Nagymama. A román követők, meg örülnek, hogy román, de nem ő egy magyar felmenokkel rendelkező francia :)
