    I finally broke down and bought an E flat just for this song. So happy I did.

    forgot about the bending tips at 5:13. try focusing your efforts on the middle and front portion of the tongue (on top) when making contact upward for these bends. higher key harmonicas require many draw bends to be controlled in the front and middle top portion fo ones' tongue. smaller movements of the tongue will also help you control that 1/2 and full step bend on the 3 draw.

    Taj's style while seeming simple can be challenging to emulate. Stoked on this lesson. Thanks Ronnie. Good to see the Jolly Green Giant's harp in place... show's you're settling in comfortably.

    O wow! I forgot how much I loved this tune. I was into Taj back when “The Natch’l Blues,” was first released in, my my, 1968. His playing has such Joy in his riffing. Thanks for this. I couldn’t figure out what he was doing back then. Damn, I can play it now!
    • Eb harps are strange creatures. They have a very unique feel. It’s not really a high or a mid feel, but Eb’s have a sweet tone.
    Thank You For This!

    It’s funny how no matter what house you live in or where you move, the room always looks the same with the same paint colors, lol.
    Excited to see you live soon hopefully. I’m in MI. Hope you’ll be over this way more often now that you’re in IL

    I love Taj Mahal. Peter Frampton does a version of She Caught the Katy that’s really good. Check it out Ronnie. I think you’ll like it. Steven. 🙂

    Taj Mahal I will definitely check him out That sounds so funky..Does it have to be Eb?

    • @Harmonica123
      @Harmonica123  4 роки тому +1

      no, you can play on any key harp but those higher keys tend to fit his sound better as this is what he uses mostly. if you wan to play to a particular song then yes, you definitely want the right key for the song. practice on what you have..C or D is fine.
