On my 2.0 equinox the bnr diveter valve made a big difference. made throttle more crip. def makin way higher boost. I Highly recommend it. feels way faster.
How’s it held up? Thinking of getting one myself. Did it mess up reliability at all?
Mine just has a spectrum cold air and a slightly bigger stock turbo the doorman replacement turbo on Amazon. This cars a little beast blows off loud and its fast af
Awesome
@therealwolverine420 do you have a link to it?

On the generation one CRUZE It does vent atmospherically but on the generation to because it’s direct injected everything is recycled back into the turbo.
@@davesworld2132 Hey, Dave. Do i need AEM/K&N air intake with this HPRV? Or it doesn't matter on a chevy malibu 1.5T
Do you need a custom tune with the diff bov? Ive got a trifecta tune already
Not with this diverter. You can run it tuned or un tuned and with a big turbo. ua-cam.com/video/2Rr_7EsgE34/v-deo.html
when i did mine i was worried about the new bolts snapping on me lol. also i did not have to remove that wire connect as it was too difficult for me but ended up doing just fine with the complete install.
Some people can. Your right. One thing I hated was the bolts are non magnetic.
@davesworld2132 also the stock one disintegrated when twisting and pulling. I did however have your vid when installing it as it helped so much! That little tape trick did the trick!!
@@SkudaLaRoo Yeah that saved me a ton of trouble lol what you didn’t see was how many times I dropped the bolt into the engine bay and spent an hour looking for it lol
@davesworld2132 oh good lord man 😆 we've all known the struggle
Definitely wanna see more on this build I recently bought a bnr recirculating valve and im gonna be ordering a tune soon for my Buick Regal turbo so hopefully they get back to you soon
I saw great gains between the tune, hprv and the Waste gate upgrade. Every upgrade I did I have an install video on my channel. Look in the Cruze mods playlist.
@@davesworld2132 bet it sounds good ima check the playlist out and can’t wait to see how my setup comes together
@@Typical_Tom keep me posted I can’t wait either!
I got the bnr diverter valve and im pushing over 25 pounds of boost.
Nice. Your also a 2.0 engine . What boost did you have stock?
Im getting the bigger turbo from turbobay with the bnr valve and also switching to bnr tune.(trifecta sucks)
And eventually the methanol injection Kit
Same here. I Have another video coming out in a couple weeks show me how to modify the wastegate actuator for more boost. And I have a following video showing how to upgrade to a larger turbo on a budget
Great video, one off topic question have you ever have problems with the Bluetooth of your Cruze ? I can connect mine and really don't know why, android auto works great but bT no can you help me
Hi. I do and what happens is I have to delete my Bluetooth and re sync the car.
You should've gone with the Gofastbits Diverter Valve, i have it on my gen 2 cruze and it made a difference in acceleration and holds boost well, granted i had a KN Filter, also it made the swoosh noise like a BOV.
I was thinking of getting one of those two. Do you know if it also releases air atmospherically or does it do the same thing that this valve does?
@@davesworld2132 if I'm not mistaken, it releases air. It sounds better and you can tell the air is being released, but the valve is closed and my boost stays steady even at full throttle
You got a K&N drop-in filter or intake?
What you need is look for EDS Germany for a map reflash. This is a 1.4 only that much you can do.
What’s that?
I did the GFB DV+ diverter. The BNR part looks great, but I got a marked improvement from the DV+ for a fraction of the price.
Yea I wish I went with the DV it sounds a bit better. And was a lot cheaper. How ever this HPRV def helps me stay at 25psi of boost.
@@davesworld2132 I actually just asked a question about the pre setup wastegate on your insta as well. Great idea pre setting them.
@@DanPellegrino486 hey just replied. I started offering the waste-gates to help everyone because they have trouble with finding and preloading them.
are you planning on putting a bigger or more effective turbo in the cruze?
Yes over the winter I will be installing and testing two larger turbos
@@davesworld2132 amazing, can't wait👍
Hi Dave, how do you disconnect the PCV tube that goes to the corrugated intake tube? It is inserted by pressure on the tube? I am having difficult time with this step. thanks.
Hi sorry I didn’t see this comment till now. What are you trying to do? There is different ways to separate it depending on what your trying to achieve.
@@davesworld2132 Thanks for the response. I am trying to install the HPRV, but to remove the intake tube I have to disconnect the PCV tube and it seem impossible to me to do that. In your video I see that you simply pull out the plastic box from the intake tube? It is possible to do that or the box is glued to the intake tube? Then I see that after intalling the HPRV, you apply WD-40 or something to install the pcv plastic box again? Thanks
@@diegoboim7776 yes you can just pull up on that box provided you still have everything OEM. Worst case scenario if you just takeoff the big clamp on the intake elbow and the part going to the airbox you can just slide that out of the way.
i have a 2018 automatic cruze rs, is there a difference in the process and parts when getting this and a bnr tune done?
No not at all.
So are there any draw backs to this like any loss in mpg or anything else?
Not so far. What it’s doing for me is backup my other mods. I peak at 25lbs of boost and this keeps the original valve from leaking.
hey whats the stock part number because my blow off valve is leaking but i broke my stock part i just need to order a new part
I have to dig that up. I do have some heavy duty versions in stock if you want one of mine
Can I buy the whole set for the Astra k 1.6T?
I think so if you contact me through the website I can get in touch with the company
Is this Cruze an auto or manual?
Manual
U need a tune to use that part ?
Some people do and some people don’t. It depends on the car.
@@davesworld2132 on a 2018 Malibu ? It has a intake and it’s catless ?
@@brandonvalladares4345 If you have no tune it might be running like crap.
Will the bnr parts fit a Chevy Malibu 2.0 turbo?
Some of the parts fit. They also make parts for that engine.
Where’s the link to the free blow off valve video
Hi I have 2 different videos. Here is one showing and intake mod. ua-cam.com/video/y-XEcyuP1uI/v-deo.html
Thanks I got the same car as you man , love having these videos helps alot
@@ethanmilner7847 Awesome I Love hearing that. Thank you
@@davesworld2132 how do you tune these rs s
@@ethanmilner7847 I use BNR but also have had luck in the past with trifecta
Noticed you put the intake box all back together, why’s that?
I wanted to test the box different ways. Bad news racing advertised that this valve made you able to hear the blow off valve with the intake box closed. I want to try both ways to see how much louder it was.
@@davesworld2132 ahhh makes sense
@@cenation23able I have a new video being posted this week showing upgrading the spring in the wastegate to make the HP RV louder with the box closed to see if it will work. Then I have a follow up video showing changing around the pre-load and seeing with the box open how much louder it is
@@davesworld2132 sweet! Will definitely be tuning in
@@cenation23able Thank you I appreciate that. What I’m trying to do is take away all the headaches involved with messing with these turbos that I find online.
Can I ship you a 16’ Cruze to modify
Yes I do that.
Nice video.....?how to buy?
davescarstuff.com You can order some of these parts through me I started developing a website to help the CRUZE community
Brother which intake should i buy for 2011 cruze 1.4L spectre k&n or zzp
They all basically do the same thing just make sure you don’t use an oiled filter
@@davesworld2132 ok bro but i want the intake with the most loud sound which one you prefer
@@StreetLegalCars Do both of the ones you want have just a heat shield or does one of them have a cover around the filter?
@@davesworld2132 i bought the k&n intake it has a heat shield
@@StreetLegalCars nice. Did you install it yet?
Please send link for hprv im looking to get one
I actually have two different styles in stock and one of them is literally from this video that I just pulled back out of my car because I changed my application. You can contact me through my website if you’re interested Www.supercruzes.com
@@davesworld2132 didn't see the one from video on there but I have a 19 Chevy cruse I have a knn cold air intake on it What would you recommend for my next upgrade Slowly trying to buy pieces and then get it tuned after installing everything
@@erikpicard1 I have a wastegate and intercooler upgrade that do a fantastic job on that car. And the cherry on top would be a tune. That would transform the way the car drives.
Thanks for all the Advice definitely going to look into it .. I also saw on your site about testers I'd be interested in talking about that
@@erikpicard1 sure. Some of my products I’m offering discounts for someone who wants to test.
Did this need a tune?
Shouldn’t. But I always recommend one because of How much better the tune makes the car drive.
@@davesworld2132 No check engine light?
@@seangowan7441 You should not get a check engine light however I did this before I did the HPRV.

Do you know if this will work in the 1.6?
Hello. It depends on the turbo you have. Do you have a gen 2 Diesel ?
