Thanks for doing the tag! The Fog is a great choice. It definitely made an impression on me when I read it in my teens! I loved Swan Song. Hope you enjoy it!

Great tag video Gavin. Like you, I have been thoroughly enjoying the classic Victorian/Edwardian authors this month. You can’t beat them. I thought Horror MAYhem was great fun. Fab idea to read the Northanger Abbey novels. Loved this video 😊

Excellent job with this tag, Gavin! Very well done! Love your idea of putting together all the gothic novels mentioned in Northanger Abbey. I think Poltergeist traumatized many little kids. I’m sorry that happened to you! 😢

I discovered E.F. Benson’s ghost stories recently too, and I agree - they’re delightful. After reading so much of the genre over my lifetime I don’t get spooked as often as I’d like by horror these days, but Caterpillars gave me a real frisson of dread. I also stumbled across an ebook collection of the Northanger Abbey Horrid Novels and am looking forward to diving into those soon. Nothing better than an evening in front of the wood stove with a cup of tea and something gothic.
