Designing MORE Pokémon Based on Animal-Food Names

- Took longer than I wanted to get this up (I got nervous about all these newcomers), but here's my next video! I hope you enjoy!
I do not own Pokémon, and all original creations in this video are of my own design.
Going along with the theme, on a similar line, there are also plants named after animals, like the Birds Eye Chili and Cattail reeds.
Right away I thought of Cobra Lillies and Viper Bugloss flower.
Plus flowers like Tiger Lilies and Birds of Paradise too.
Can we get some HAMpster with those green eggs? All the designs look so amazing and thoughtful!!
Frifayta is so cute and I would have one and shiny hunt one so fast. I could also see them being prey for sneasels that might use their claws to carve out ice-fishing holes, since their dex entries state they have diets of stealing other pokemon's eggs, and weasels also like fish. Egg jellyfish are also cold water pokemon, so it's perfect. The fairy typing could be it's easiest defense against sneasel's dark typing as well.
Honuddle and Rateleer are really cool and good concepts. I love the honeycomb hexagons becoming rock/crystalline shards protruding from its back - almost like Tera shards.
I'm a New Zealander and i just ADORE your take on the Kiwi!! They would definitely be apart of my team
I know me too NZ aotearoa needs more representation especially with Pokémon
I have some sort of ideas for new fakemon based on animal-food names plus a special move to them:
Chocolate Chip Sea Star
Choco-Needle: similar to that one move (I forgot the name) where you throw spikes at the other team's ground, taking HP away when they step on it, for this move, Pokemon have a rare chance to eat these chocolate needles, since chocolate can be quite addictive, and in turn, can take a bit of HP away since the needles stung their tongues, the chocolate form this Pokemon is considered a delicacy, and must be handled with care so the choco-needles can't stung anyone's hands, and melt the chocolate to make sweets, since this type of chocolate doesn't have sugar or fat, yet it tastes like regular chocolate
Pineapple Fish
Citric Acid: spray enemies with some citrus juice, the citric juice can cause poisoning on the opposing team, but it can be used to heal your team, it can also taste like oranges, lemons or any other fruit with citrus, making this a perfect juice for a hot summer day
I adore the green eggs and ham reference in the shiny!
Your naming skills for your Fakemon are spot on.

As for suggestions, i got a few:
Biscuit beetle or bread beetle, one of the commonest pest insects of stored food, it feeds on a variety of plant and animal products including bread and flour and even hot spices
Banana slug
Tomato frog
Chocolate chip seastar
And cookie cutter shark, their name comes from the cookie-shaped wounds that it leaves on the bodies of larger animals

These are amazing! My suggestions are pineapple fish, dragon fruit, fruit bat.
I love them all 😍 and their shiny forms are beautiful as well :D
As for suggestions, you could use plants with animal names like cattail reeds, tiger lilies, dragonfruit, and snapdragons. Keeping in line with your main theme so far, though, you could use the rosy maple moth (could be roses or maple syrup or something idk lol)
Honestly, I love the last two the most! Lil egg fae is adorable! And yes to the twig birb!
I’m sure you already know of the coconut🥥 crab🦀, but how amor the pineapple🍍 fish🐠? Or the protoeaster nodosus? Look it up!🍪
Gerkle is cute and it's a very interesting idea of a convergent form of shuckle 😊
I love Frifayta! I think a pancake batfish or a rosy maple moth would be fun to try :)

You should definitely do a pokemon based off of the raspberry crown! Both the name of a delicious danish and a wicked wasp, this thing would be perfect for a bug/fairy pokemon served fresh from the mischievous mind of a genie pokemon like Hoopa. Credit of course, goes to Tumblr for this idea, thanks to a cautionary tale about not asking a genie for a lifetime supply of raspberry crowns.

Ever heard of the headless chicken monster? It's also called the spanish dancer. Technically not food since chickens are also just animals, but... a good excuse to mention such a unique entity
I honesly half expected Rateleer to evolve into a Xenomorph given its almost-acidic-spit and the spines coming out of ist back - that makes no sense at all but hey, brain go brr

Great work I love these Fakemon, I’ve been trying to work a concept like this for a while now. I think I would use the the Chocolate Chip Starfish for this and give evolutions like Eevee, where it would evolve into different species of starfish mixed with some cakes or other baked goods. But I would really enjoy seeing what you bring to Chocolate Chip Starfish Fakemon idea. Keep up the great work and hope to see that soon. 😁👍
Have you heard of the pancake batfish? I imagine a Pokémon version of it could be a stunfisk regional form or convergent form

YES I just watched your previous food pun pokemon video and I’m glad to see a part two!! I was delighted to see your Wooper sona get a little redesign too, it’s a lovely design.
Don’t worry too much about imitating official pokemon art; your art looks AMAZING already, and pretty close to official. Plus the official style changes a little each gen anyways. Pat yourself on the back for making such awesome art, imitating style so well, and coming up with some great creatures!
I don’t think I saw this in other comments, but if you decide to do any more food pun pokemon, may I suggest something from the genus Atergatis? There are two crabs known as Pancake Crabs, and one looks like a cute flat pancake (Atergatis roseus)! The other also goes by the names Floral Egg Crab or Green Egg Crab (Atergatis floridus).
Shuckle is my favorite pokemon of all time.

For Frifayta's evolution, the cauliflower jellyfish you showed in your first video could work well as a design base since they look very similar!
So, since you now made a new wooper variant, could you tell us more about it? What's it's typings, ability, and perhaps it's personality and habitat?
Gerkle is looking a little off to me, and I think it's because the hole for it's head is towards the top, instead of bottom. If it was towards the bottom, it could have a very good resemblence of a turtle.

If you ever do a part 3 of this, some suggestions could be chocolate chip sea star, pineapple fish, Lettuce sea slug, Banana wrasse, cauliflower jellyfish, tomato clownfish, pancake batfish, potato grouper, orange-peel Doris, garlic bread sea cucumber, and cherry barb
A suggestion for when your character is talking is that you can squish the frame down and pop them back up on the next frame to change the expression instead of just hopping and changing it

I have a suggestion, maybe gerkle isn’t a regional variant, but a convergent form introduced in gen 9. Its pre-evolution could be a pukumuku convergent form that looks like a pickle in a jar.

Here’s a suggestion:
A grass/fairy Pokemon called chairy.
May I suggest that that Gerkle’s preevo be called Burrkle in reference to the Burr cucumbers which are used create gherkins and cucumbers are basically just the preevo of pickles

And being protected by a God, I think it would be an interesting Magicatp situation, a weaker pokemon evolves something very strong... Some ground bird could be referenced, Ostrich, Emu or Casuari (maybe the last one is the best, being ferocitous, but Emu is the most similat and Ostriches are the best known... Also, females are brown, so it works
