Well if they can ignore the release date then what's the point of having one? One of the great things about lorcana was that LGS got the cards to sell two weeks early. If stores abuse that and decide to ignore the street date then they could loose the ability to sell the cards all together. Disney won't take kindly to stores trying to sell their own products before it's even in their store.

When we went there today to grab the product, we actually asked the person who helped us with the order, how come they were selling it earlier, and if they were aware that it isn’t the release date yet. Her response is that they’ve been lucky getting the products earlier nowadays, and that people in Canada are starting to associate these earlier release windows with their store, and that’s a “positive”. I found the whole thing odd, but also am not aware of what are their agreements with Ravensburger overall etc.
I'm mad about the situation but not mad at InkbornHeroes obviously. Everybody should be mad at this imo because we got a big player here who doesn't care about the rules and is screwing LGS who are playing by the rules. This is unacceptable behavior.
@@InkbornHeroes I don't think it was Canada wide. maybe just Ontario and a whoops by the distributor. There are no pre-order links at all. I was at indigo a few days ago in the Edmonton area and there was no sign of the new set (I wasn't even looking for it to be honest). Also the indigos here get very little product. I've heard that it's much easier to find stuff anywhere in Ontario in general. We are still lining up for troves/giftsets and accessories here in AB.
I think only ring binders can have movable pages, and they’re pretty notorious for damaging cards. We use VaultX and Reiton for our main collection and those pages aren’t movable.
I am not that impressed about the value of this. If the binder is the same brand and quality as the other Lorcana binders those sell for 24.99. That is half the gift box right there then the other half is 25 dollars spent for 4 packs and 2 promo cards. Basically, unless someone is a huge Stitch fan and really likes the art on the binder I don't think it's worth getting.
But I think this product is specifically targeted at that audience for sure (stitch fans). And it makes sense to brand it as a GIFT SET, as you’d likely be giving to people that loves stitch. I personally love the item, but I see where you are coming from, from a value perspective. ☺️

To be fair, the product is available to ANYONE in Canada. That’s how we got it. Indigo Chapters decided to start selling it as of today already. 😅
