This video is Part 1 of 2 of the pet bed. In this tutorial we will be making the base of the bed. If that's all you need you can stop here! The next video will be putting a pillow top border on for pets who like side pillows for extra coziness!

I get the whole swatch thing- I really do. I also understand why you don't want to make another one of these giant things-- but as a relative beginner, I much prefer the tutorials where I crochet along and you cut scene to end of rows and such- that way I can make sure mine is looking like yours! It may not seem like a big thing, but to me-- and my inexperience- it is a big deal.

Oh my gosh I think that would be so awesome!! I think you could make this into a hanging cat bed. HOW? I'm not sure but this the shape, you could add little rings to each corner to suspend it. 😊❤️🧶

USE VELCRO
Velcro catches in the yarn and messes it up. That’s why a lot of people will use zippers or buttons. In this case, you don’t want to take a chance on the dog chewing on a button, so a zipper is the better choice. 😊
Well said Sharon! Ya, you could use velcro but it might damage the yarn and become a hot mess clogging the velcro with yarn strands. 🤷♀️🧡🧶

Tiffany I've been wondering, Where do you get your long crochet hooks ?? I've searched online, and when I search for longer crochet hooks, I only can see the Afghan hooks but not longer hooks like yours. I've been wanting some and can't find them. Thanks Sweetie
Hi Lady Dianna! Oh, the hooks I’m using are a plain Boye Crochet Hook. You can find them on Amazon or in most craft stores including Walmart. I hope this helps! 😊❤️🧶
