    This is great - my Aunt and Uncle used to live in the road that Hanwell station is in back in the mid 80s - whenever we stayed with them I’d persuade the station master to let me onto platform 1 for half an hour here and there - usually during the morning rush hour 😎
    31,47,50 on passenger /mail/parcels workings , 125s, the 121/123 ?? DMUs … other stuff on freight . Happy days 😄

    Thank you. Pretty sure we were on the bridge seen @14.18. I have to say I was disappointed because of the height. The trains seemed a long way away. Of course I would never have let my brother know!.
    Traction was very different then Westons , 47's and the odd Hymek and Brush 2

      Agree Ian; the height was a bit of a disadvantage. I only went there once with the camcorder, and probably 3 other occasions with the still camera, as Reading or Twyford stations provided better opportunities to get up close and personal with the locos. However, I bet seeing Westerns and Hymeks from the bridge was quite something. Cheers, Geoff. 👍
