- Check out a quick drive and review of this 2018 Subaru WRX STI. A great car with a wonderful rally driving heritage. We'd recommend driving one if you're looking for a do it all car that can handle a track day but also get you through snow and ice in the winter.
This is one of the few modern cars which still feels like an old school brute. Wish they still made them today
Very analog, still feels like an old school turbo'ed car.
Those big six pistons calibers came out starting with the 2018+ the 2015-2017 didn’t have those. Other than that I own a 2018 STi as well and have some tasty mods. Nice video by the way!
I have a 2021 and it’s a massive head turner. People love it
Funny thing, its reversed for me here in SoCal. Mustang GTs are everywhere and rarely see STIs.
Sounds beautiful
Cops love my 2005 STI. Lots of compliments from them. A lot of ex army are cops around me and if you weren't a mustang/camaro guy, you were a GD STI guy in the army, it seems. They always talk about how they used to have one or wanted on. In my 3 years, I've never been pulled over in it and I'm regularly over the speed limit and very loud (but I'm also not clapped out and the car is clean - that might help).
military cops are just gate ID checkers
Ex-army here too. And agree, that is car culture in the military, especially 2012 to 2019.
Lot of wrx/sti here at fort cavazos. Too much to the point I want to get a different car 😅
Two wheels are bad? Dangerous - Yes, Bad - No.
Loving the look of that car.
driving the car hard and turning off rightaway is not the best for the turbo oil circulation
are you going to try and set up binaural audio at some point? Great video btw.
Good video bro
Thanks! Appreciate you tuning in!
Golf R wipes the floor with it
Driven that as well, different animal. More refined, heavier, and more European feeling. If you like the feel, it's a better car. The WRX STi just feels more like a rally car and it's very fun.
@@JustCarPeopleThings they have cheap build quality and that boxer blows upon track
picking mine up today!
Good luck!
I have a 2018 and it's push to start. How does that happen :O
Limited trims had pushbutton start. Both base and limited trims had pushbutton start from 2020+
what camera are you using?
GoPro Hero 11 Black
@@JustCarPeopleThings thanks for the quick reply!
I do also use my IPhone 12 Pro Max for shorts sometimes.
Mustang ecoboost high performance pack with 330 hp / 350 lb ft tq is the best 4 cyl turbo car out there at this point. Arguably much better handling as well, better interior, etc. The fact this car is fully modded and the 0-60 is slower than a stock ecoboost is crazy
As a Camaro owner, totally appreciate this. Also, understand that the AWD on this is going to make it a very different animal to daily drive in a place that gets inclement weather. These aren't bad choices, they're just a different one.
The mustang can barely handle itself on pavement let alone in the wet or on snow.
Its a fine car, just heard theyre basically the worst car to buy to actually go to the track with, very unreliable. Also theres just too many of them they dont stand out, literally pass 5 or 6 of them every day. I want a car that feels special not that everyone and their mom picks up
