I don't think it's possible to fire a 9mm round out of a Desert Eagle, which was the handgun Boddicker used throughout the entire film (and also initially "killed" Murphy). Also, the reason the ER scene was so realistic was that the "actors" were an actual genuine ER trauma team. All the doctor lingo they use is 100% accurate to what would be said in an operating room.

I didnt mind the remake and thought that Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman and Abbie Cornish did a great job giving the film emotional weight. The film on its own viewing is a great action flick, But it doesnt hold up against the remake. Also hated what they did to the robosuit, though I also do appreciate they tried to re-invent the design. Nostalgia aside, Verhoeven's RoboCop was a Ultra-violent portrayal of a city in chaos, and RoboCop was a product of that chaos. The remake had RoboCop being created as a marketing strategy which is just so meh... There is also no real Danger in the city of Detroit, with must of the violence occurring in foreign war zones.
Agreed (although I like the design of the 2014 version). What about your views on the sequels (Robocop 2 & 3)? Personally, I can find things from the second one enjoyable, I think the 3rd one completely jumped the shark and was mediocre at best.
But did not predict the police would remain useless and underfunded, while crowdfunding would give the town several private peacekeeping orgs, instead of a corporate mega-monopoly.
Good video, one note though. Weller worked with Moni throughout the production, before and after the production suit was finished. I'm still wondering how in the first Robocop movie, when the thugs grab a woman and one uses her as a human shield, Robocop shoots between her legs and shoots the thug in the balls. How does the height differences add up? Talk about a magic bullet
But still, with her long skirt, he couldn't see where her body ends and his begins That REALLY needed to stated differently but I don't know how to say it differently. But it showed Robocop using normal vision to target the thug instead of heat vision so RC couldn't see where or when to shoot

I want a new car! something that goes really fast and has really shitty gas mileage! How about the 2000 SUX?! lolol
lol
Well, the 2000s definitely suck...
Congrats for 200K! It feels great to have seen your channel grow over the past few months! ❤
Thanks Yates :)
@@filmcomicsexplained 03:04 What films were they cast in
"Come quietly or there will be... Trouble."
Everyone should watch this movie at least once, because this is a awesome movie.
"Nah Daniels. Bad cop RoboCop."
still best quote from 2014 reboot
Those tv commercials were amazing! I enjoy them every time I watch the movie
While I can see the remake as a good film on its own, I can admit that it pales in comparison to the original.
Agree with you 100 %!
FilmComicsExplained, what’s your view on the remake?
This is one of my favorite movies ever.
Actually, Robo’s exterior shell is composed of titanium, which is laminated in Kevlar. Great review overall!
Just a brilliant movie. So many levels that I didn't appreciate as a kid.
Predicted the Detroit financial crisis
But did not predict the police would remain useless and underfunded, while crowdfunding would give the town several private peacekeeping orgs, instead of a corporate mega-monopoly.
Good video, one note though. Weller worked with Moni throughout the production, before and after the production suit was finished. Weller did an excellent Q.A. for Aintitcool where he discussed how Moni suggested they reverse gears from a smooth movement style to the slowing things down and "popping" the movements at the end to exaggerate and sell them.
The "Do want to know more" news cut scenes in Starship Troopers always reminds me of Robocops tv news cut scenes and the reason for that is same director, I feel so dumb lol
I grew up watching the censured and clean RoboCop on VHS... later on I saw the full version...THANK GOD I say
“I had to kill Bob Morton cause he made a mistake, now it’s time to erase that mistake!”
-Dick Jones
One of the best lines! IMO
"Bitches leave." Was one of mine by Clarence.
@@sweynskarilsen9105 05:40 so it was always a set up designed to get one killed
Also “Dick, you’re fired” and what that allowed Robocop to act
I saw this movie in 1987, when i has 7 years old and from my memories I was delighted when I saw the trailer... good times that never come back...
CONGRATS ON 200K!!!! you deserve it!
Robocop,Terminator 1 and the Predator my all time favourites from the 80's.
Thank you so much for doing a video on this!
My favorite Veroheven movie with Total Recall ! I'm shocked that there was an even gorier version, the movie being already so ruthless and merciless !
Right now I just hope Neill Blomkamp will make a great RoboCop movie that will be 100x better than that God-awful 2014 remake
But the 2014 RoboCop suit looked better
come on...it wasnt god awfull...the srcipt wasnt really something mindbendingly new... but the revel scene of what of murphy is left was amazing!!
It was great, I'd go as far as to say it was better than the original.
@@Beowulf_98 Thats blasphemy and you must not have grew up with the original. The original is far superior in every caregory. Much better lead actor and cast though Keaton and Jackson are great actors. They were wasted in this movie. The atmoshpere was trash in the remake.
@@borgkingerei6993 Hence suit. Robocop does not have a suit. He has a body and the original was perfect.
EASILY, one of the best action movies ever!
Hey man i love your vids keep on doing you
phillip rinsmith you read my mind.
What I like about the first suit, it that looks very realistic metalic body-like. Unlike on the second movie that you could tell at glance it was made by plastic or fiber glass.
Can you fly Bobby?
😄
@@ismailtroxler1 In part 3 he does
That sounds like something I would say
Dude love you work. The opening and ending music gives me goosebumps man. I’ve been binge watching your videos and every time or horror explanation or Alien related one ended it left me paranoid especially at night.
Seeing this video and having seen the film again after many years.
I didnt know it was Red Foreman in that movie XD!!
The warehouse gun battle is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. Never gets old
I'm still wondering how in the first Robocop movie, when the thugs grab a woman and one uses her as a human shield, Robocop shoots between her legs and shoots the thug in the balls. How does the height differences add up?
Talk about a magic bullet
I guess his junk be hanging low :)
Really, REALLY low.
He was carrying her.
Her feet weren't on the ground.
But still, with her long skirt, he couldn't see where her body ends and his begins
That REALLY needed to stated differently but I don't know how to say it differently.
But it showed Robocop using normal vision to target the thug instead of heat vision so RC couldn't see where or when to shoot
A man gets shot the fuck up turned into a robot ........but u av trouble believing he made that shot 😂 get a grip u sausage
Nice to live near that old steel mill. Peter, Nancy, Kurt and Paul did their thing there over 30 years ago. Wow
Anyone else thought the remake lost everything that made the originals good ?
This is the best Robocop review I've seen. Good job mate.
"Someone give that man a hand!!" One of my favorite lines.
Then why’d you get it wrong?

I recently watched Chappie. Now I know where this story was inspired by.
Thank you for this video and congratulation on the 200k subs :-) Can easily say it is one of my all-time favourite movies ever since I first saw as a kid so again, thank you and best of luck in the future. Oh and I love the satire in this movie, Nuke'Em A family experience :-)
Thanks buddy! have a great weekend :)
Your welcome :-) And I'll try my best but seeing as I have to work the entire weekend AND the next 3 weeks it might be a challenge :-) Ah the joys of running your own company... Anyway have a good one.
"Come quietly or there will be...trouble" I freaking loved this movie since I was 5 and still is my favorite movie ever lol
I remember the seriously toned down, goofy cartoon with it's awesome theme song. I sure couldn't watch the movie but the cartoon was cool. Funny how they made this, Ghost Busters and The Mask into cartoons that kids could watch when most parents wouldn't have dared to let them watch the films.
Great job. Also, am I the only one scared of that stop motion robot?
Meh, parents didnt give a shit what you watched back in those days. Literally EVERY toy I had, was a gun or an action figure with a gun.
God I loved the 80's! I love how this movie had to try for an R rating over 10 times and yet toy companies still made Robocop toys for us 70's and 80's kids knowing damned well that we watched this movie even though it was way WAY WAAYYYYYYY too violent and mature for us to be watching!
congrats on 200k
Thanks buddy!
fave film of all time. Thanks.
I want some fresh coffee, hey everyone needs some good caffeine :D

One of the best movies ever made.
BEST.....VIDEO.....EVER!
Aaah the good ol hostage situation... treasured scenario in 80s/90s action films and video games
Robocop accurately predicted Detroit today lmaoo
I have loved Robo Cop in the beginning of the movies and I still love Robo Cop!!!!!
I wish I can own a 6000 SUX.
