I love your decorative little barrel. I think you should turn it into a sort of Time Capsule, especially since you are such a talented artist. You can get little glass, or plastic test tubes. Draw a picture of one of your plants, your lovely birds, or absolutely anything that is making you happy. Roll it up, put it into a test tube, and into the barrel (don't forget to date the drawings). Many decades from now, you will have enormous joy opening that barrel, and each test tube looking at all the beautiful memories you drew. Your garden is absolutely amazing! Everything about your home and garden is just so very beautiful. Thank you for making these videos!

my garden is full of salvias, if you look into them there’s SO many shapes, colours, leaf textures, they are so beautiful, i love the chiapensis and lancelot the most😍😍

I worked at a distillery as a lab tech and hubby was there for 30 years. We used to get burbon barrels for free. If you don't keep liquid even water in them to keep them swelled they will shrink and fall apart. They were inside charred oak.

Thank you for the info on Canna Virus. My canna from last year is pale green, has hardly grown and has aphids on one of the stems 😬 It will be going in the bin tomorrow. Beautiful garden as ever, it's like having your own holiday resort 🌸🌿🌴🙂

Mine is Dicksonia Antarctica 🌿 I just put some Straw in the crown over winter, and if it gets very cold with snow I sometimes wrap the trunk in horticultural fleece. You can see how I overwinter my plants on some videos in my tropical garden playlist 🌺💚🦋🍹 And yes that’s very true 😁🦋🌴🌺 Do you mean the dwarf fan palms? I also have videos in that playlist with all the plant names on 🌴

We bought a new canna recently which had started flowering, put it in the ground about 2 weeks ago and it looks in a bad way at the moment 🤔😢 - my canna cleopatra that went in just over a year ago is looking strong though!
Sad isn’t it but we don’t want them infecting other cannas 😭 Thats the only issue with cannas. I might try some gingers as an alternative 🌴🌺

The virus on your cannas all looks fine to me. The pattern will be more green and not as clear when not in full sun. Check this site. extension.okstate.edu/fact-sheets/plant-viruses-infecting-cannas.html
