I already like everything but the baby tears oh that is so beautiful I really like that and I love the friend the first one you showed beautiful be blessed. 🙏🏾😘
Looks beautiful! A lot of gardens in the U.S. are a bit behind, as well due to the very long cool spring but now a lot of us are going thru extreme heat. Thank you, by the way, for suggesting last year that I transplant my tree fern into a bigger pot because it was not doing anything last year & also browning. Last year I repotted it into a big pot & moved it for more sunlight & wow, what a difference this year.
Thank you for the UPDATE!! Your tropical garden is coming along quite nicely. I ALWAYS look forward to looking at your tiki bar and garden, I find it relaxing, as well as inspiring! I have added more plants to my patio area because of your videos.
Garden looking fantastic. At 8:00 min mark I saw you have an Ensette in a pot you could put into that pot next to it with one canna the Tetrapanex could go out in the center of garden where your cannas next to banana plants are not doing well
Yes, as Lindy said, I'm in Florida and things are quite behind here as well, a long winter it seemed even in Florida, but my new gardens are coming along, bananas are finally growing and the Aussie tree ferns are finally setting in...only here just 6 months now I'm anxious for results, having just planted yellow canna and hibiscus, my gardens are bright and attracting butterflies, soon my stepping stone patio will host a small tiki bar under the sun sail shading from the horrid heat of a Florida summer, but I love it all...cheers...!
Really love how it has turned out and I just can't get over how you get the bananas to grow so well in your climate. Did you go into hysterics over the spider that you had to pause the video, ha ha!
Really lovely! Nice the weather is finally cooperating. LOVE the new decking and those chairs. So hot here so early in summer, 100F for almost 3 weeks straight and it continues.
Your channel was my first and most important inspiration for my tropical Northern Illinois backyard project. We had a late spring and now are entering a very hot dry spell (36-38C) so watering will be critical. Thankfully my small pool is going up today and the tiki bar is already well stocked. Thanks for sharing your ideas and updates!
I’m surprised your plants are behind. I live in south uk. My hydrangeas are ahead and I planted annuals earlier as we had a lovely warm spring. Strawberries are sweeter.
Hi, wanted to say youve done a great job on the garden. I have a couple of Q's if you dont mind. your succulents, Tillandsia, tree ferns, bananas etc are all tender...yes? how do you deal with winter? perhaps your live on south coast of UK. but im in yorkshire and i doubt I could get stuff through winter. i have a bunch of air plants (inside the house) but im curious to know how they fair outside, do you still spray yours? cheers, Tim
The place looks superb Hannah. I got some new fronds on my cycas by cutting off all of the old ones in May with the start of regrowth within a month. But a little risky.....Enjoy the sunshine 👍
You have inspired me and my fiance, we have ordered a bar we are going to tiki up and just bought some banana plants, can you suggest any really hardy tropical plants that will give us a good start? thanks again for your channel !
Wow! Your garden is still standing strong 😃 it still looks so beautiful! You are really doing a great job. It would be great to see videos on how you look after your plants all year round 😊
I love watching your garden updates!! It’s an inspiration to me as I am also a gardener and UA-cam creator. l’m harvesting my first fruits and veggies so exciting! I wish you a happy harvest! I still have so much to learn and I appreciate your tips, tricks! Please Keep sharing! I would love to learn more about gardening from each other.
Wonderful garden. I really think you have used the space wisely and definitely added your own character into the overall theme. I bet all of your friends are jealous and want to do a similar thing?
Looks absolutely wonderful, I have moved house so I have a new garden to attack. I have two tree ferns, one that has a Australian black wood growing in its trunk and I am not sure whether to keep it in a pot. I have also decided to buy a banana plant and a few other exotics, I am not sure where I am going to plant them yet. I love to get inspiration from your garden and try to plan what I am going to do, but then another plant comes along and I am back to square one. I think time and patience is the way forward, I will look forward to your next video😊
Lovely garden as always. If I may give some advice on your tetrapanax, I live in the Netherlands and have a 2-3 year old tetrapanax that is 3 times bigger than yours. It's in full ground and survived -20 celcius without protection, so you dont need to protect it like I see you do. A nice spot would be next to your fatsia at the little deck area, or behind the big three fern between the fatsia and the shefflera. Would give a nice back drop behind your tree fern and would make it look more natural. Love your videos
Thanks! I’ll consider those places for it! Behind my decking it’s pretty much full shade so not sure if it would be happy there? I would like to get it in the ground though 🌺🌴
@@TropicalPlantAddict they can tolerate a lot of shade, and when its established it will double in size in no time. So it might can get more daylight in a few years in that spot.
Looks fab as usual hanna. My cannas are slow too and a new musofolia and ehiman I bought from ebay are showing virus symptoms. Lesson learned. I have several begonia gandis I grew from bulbils - planted last year which are returning. I had no clue they were runners and that invasive. I'm wondering if they are seed spreading instead of running? I'm a bit worried about leaving them in in case I regret it.
Looking really lovely Hannah. I wonder whether you divide the banana pups away from the mother when they are really small or is it better to wait for them to get a bit bigger?
Hi Hannah I had a big suprise with my Caladium this year Red Flash got a lovely flower & another coming…didn’t know they flowered Thankyou so much for introducing to to Caladiums a couple of years ago I will put a pic in a day or so on my Instagram
Hi ! Your garden are beautiful where do you live ? I live at Dallas ,Texas , very hot in summer and very cold in winter , can you please tell me which tropical I can plant in my area,
Hi Hanna haven't messaged you for ages , l see your gardens still lookin great though, but you did mention how slow things are this year thought it was just me lve bin ripping my hair out (whats left of it😂)with frustration, the cannas are really slow and for some reason they're getting loads of slug munch which lve not seen before🤪
Thanx for this post Hanna, here in Australia it's currently winter and cold, by oz standards, but your video does warm my heart! How big is your garden?
I got mine from seagraves but had to wait months. I only chop the old fronds when they are Brown and hanging down to make sure the crown doesn’t close. They prefer shade but can live in sunny areas, you’ll just have to water a lot more 🌴
Thank you for the update, you have put a lot of work into your garden and it has certainly paid off, well done! may i ask what size you post are that you have with the rope around your seating area? I think mine look a bit to tall and thick.
@@TropicalPlantAddict that's what I am worried about as my garden is not big but love the look of it so may just give it a go in a pot for this year. Any advice?
If you need new fronds on your sago (this method worked for mine in the UK) all you need to do is treat it with it's native conditions, you need to water it alot and fertilise it weekly and keep it in a sunny spot, that's all I had to do to get mine to flush! I hope this will be helpful🤞😁🌴
I loved the grass too but I kept having problems with it every year, all my neighbours had problems with their grass as well and had already removed theirs 🌴☀️
@@TropicalPlantAddict Thanks so much! We are down a tiki culture rabbit hole with our decor…so that info really helps. We are still working on the poolside tiki jungly area now, will tackle creating the backyard jungle outside the screened area in another year perhaps. Wow! now that's a gorgeous garden, I could live in that place.
Forgot to mention, those guzmania bromeliads are not dead, trim the burnt leaves and repot in a new medium and they should be just fine.
Looks like it doesn't rain cats and dogs anymore. It's now all about spiders! Just can't get enough of your garden!

Yes it’s usually a house plant here too 🌺🌴

I am going to be very honest. I miss the green from the grass. It added a nice background like a canvas to a paint. I am sure I am not the only one.
