To those of you who need an education on the Domain, I'd be happy to oblige. Per Halo Nation:
The Domain was a collective intelligence that the Forerunners used to access the ancient ancestral knowledge of their forefathers. The Domain was only accessible by adult Forerunners through their armor because only the adults were able to comprehend the knowledge which was fed directly into their central nervous system.
Unknown to the Forerunners, the Domain was created originally by the Precursors after they cultivated massive amounts of knowledge throughout multiple galaxies to be stored within the Milky Way. The Domain was sustained and protected by Precursor architecture, which was neurophysical and therefore vulnerable to the firing of the Halo Array.[1]
With the Domain destroyed, the monument and testament of the Forerunners' crimes and redemptions would be lost forever. Ur-Didact was asleep within his Battle Cryptum and could not enter the Domain, so he was condemned to spend millennia of silence and darkness with his own insanity.
The Domain was also the Organon, a device long sought after thought to be able to activate all Precursor artifacts in the Galaxy.[2] As the Domain was the knowledge of the Precursors, the knowledge of how to activate and control the Precursors' neurophysical technology would logically be hidden there.
Some ancient humans may have had access to the Domain prior to its destruction.

Am I the only one who like Halo for its lore? It old authors (fuck Karen Traviss) made the Halo universe seem so huge yet small, wondrous yet grim. I couldnt give half a fuck about the games, as long as they keep the EU going.
spartanB0292 lol same. i definitely enjoy the games but i haven't actually owned one since Halo 2 cos i haven't had the money or time to focus much on gaming for ages. but i still read up on the storyline and lore just because it's so amazingly fleshed out. i honestly don't care really for guns and macho military shit i just love the whole design of the games; visually, sonically, the universe etc. i just enjoy playing to be in that world. no other series has really captured me like that

spartanB0292 same here, got 6th place in halo 3 on my country and never enjoy'd playing another halo game until it became shit with Halo Reach, but i love the story hahaha MC will always be a childhood hero for me hahah
***** Yeah. Chief is pretty boring already. Even his voice actor is a but outdated. The funny thing is I read all the Halo books before I even got to play a Halo game.
I wasn't really impressed by the gameplay shown. However the co op focus is exciting. I wish they showed more open battles in campaign.

I don't know how good the campaign in halo 5 is looking so far tbh. Don't get me wrong, the multiplayer looks just as awesome as ever, but the campaign looks even gimmickier than halo 4's campaign (remember the quick-time events and ALL those buttons?). That said, if nothing else I'm going to give the squad commands the benefit of the doubt and assume this just did a bad job of showing what they can do (the spartans should have already been doing what they were commanded to before they were commanded to do it. If an enemy's there you shoot at it; if an ally's wounded you help them)

I loved halo CE 2 3 and 4 in different ways and I'm so hyped for halo 5 in my opinion it looks amazing... Just trust 343 for christ's sake from what I've seen there in like the small group of game developers who actually listen to their players.. And all you people saying it's awful, WTF! SERIOUSLY WTF?! you've seen what, 20 minutes of cutscenes/gameplay and you're already saying its shit!! You haven't even played the hole freaking game!! Once you've played it then you can talk shit about it.

Technically, the Remnant is simply called the Covenant. The legitimate Sangheili government under the Arbiter is the Swords of Sanghelios. The SoS has been trying to uproot the Covenant resistance on their worlds. They have been side-by-side with UNSC forces with quite a while.

No, storm is not the name of the faction... Storm is a rank, it is just an armor type used by Elite shocktroopers. That is all it ever was. Jul 'Mdama refers to his movement as THEE Covenant. No substitute, the real deal.
The "storm" association was taken from the name of the armor and ran with; but has no canonical relationship. That is why the Arbiters troops wear that same armor.
I suggest you read Halo Waypoint's Canon Fodder, which has a lot of information like this in it. You could simply confirm this and not spread fallacies.

Sorry but Master Chief will always be Halo. The books may have left him behind and as good as they were they are never as good as the books with the chief in.
I think this is a sub section co op campaign rather than the actual campaign like farcry3 did.
The next gen Spartans were never as hardcore as the chief. Being cheaper and less expensive models as this was all covered in oynx they don't go into shock but their abilities are not the same standard of the chiefs generation.
hope for a final boss like in halo 2 and 3. Not the qtc in 4. Not hating on 343, just want a boss battle.

It's a shame they put so much time and effort into such a bad campaign...
Campaign looks boring but I know I'll play it. This is what, the 7th campaign now including ODST and Reach, its getting old. Warzone looks like a BF knock-off, what happened to them focusing on small-map arena multiplayer? That is what made Halo so popular. 3v4 Industries just doesnt get it...

Super Directive I know they made it look pretty and all. But I'm generally a fan of BTB game modes. So, adding Firefight into that mix and making the maps MASSIVE is just one big treat for me haha.

Ahem...actually, I heard in some vidoc that they were considering doing just that. Adding the invasion Premise into the mix. But, right now, we have a kinda "star wars-battlefront" approach where teams can get points, or blow up the enemy base. Either way, we haven't trully seen the gamemode yet, so I don't think we can say it's good or bad yet, ya know? In the worst case scenario, if it's a bust, it is just one gamemode. Halo 5 is still Halo and will have all the other gamemodes too.

Look, I don't mean to be a pessimist, but the campaign was all things I'd either seen or heard about before (but I it is cool to see it in use, I have to admit) and Warzone isn't even 16 v 16 and I would've liked to seen gameplay because at the moment it just looks like a PvP AI clusterfuck. I would've been happy with 16v16 with pelicans on 2x size Blood Gulch. But maybe I'm asking too much.
War Zone is 12v12, and has Enemy AI used for scoring. Think of it as BtB with Some AI opponents

I am going to the play the shit out of this game. Bungie didn't have anything left with Halo. They moved on. Halo has to evolve and 343 for such a small team is doing awesome. They spent months on an E3 demo to make it look perfect and are protecting Blue Team for a surprise. I am so excited.
