- Yes, we did this. So I have done a few bad makeup science experiments before with my own nude lipsticks, foundations, eyeshadows, liquid lipsticks, and highlighters, and I've also mixed together every lipstick from Sephora, but I wanted to think more dramatic this time, so I bought every online beauty guru's eyeshadow palette that was currently available, and we mixed them together into one Frankenguru eyeshadow. What do you think it should be named?

Disclaimer: We only bought and mixed palettes that I could buy firsthand (still available from a credible retailer), so palettes that were released essentially from mid-2017 onwards. We also focused on gurus who post content primarily in English, just to keep it the experiment to one market.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that saf has her schedule of every upload organised? She planned everything from the start of the idea, to buying the stuff online, to actually finding the time to film. This is what makes a great youtube content and Safiya's content IS AMAZING and entertaining to watch. Also look at her rack where she's putting her eyeshadow, there's a paper that says "this week". YEah I always notice that about her. She plans her videos a lot, and you can tell by other videos that she's always doing something, sometimes she's even making more than one video at a time.. That's dedication and hard work and she deserves to get recognition for it!

They also smelled really weird and people say little black holes on the surface of the lipstick. I haven't personally ordered the lipsticks, so I'm just telling you what I've seen online.

Next time you do this, make three Franken-eyeshadows. Use the lightest colors of multiple pallets (spelled that wrong , oh well) to make your base shade. Use the medium colors to make your transition shade, and the darker shades to make your crease and corner color. It would be a whole Franken-eyeshadow look.

I'm so impressed with safiya's dedication - she figured out all the stats, swatched everything, listed every single guru and eyeshadow palette she used, and even experimented with different lighting and looked at the eyeshadow under a microscope. thank you so much for your thoughtful and amazing content!

I'm really starting to fall in love with this channel. She makes her videos so funny. She's light and bubbly; spirited. Her and Ty have fantastic chemistry; I can see why they're together. He's gorgeous and she's hilarious. Like another post said: she's one of the most non-problematic UA-camrs I've ever seen. Her videos are warm, sweet, funny and very relaxing to watch.

I’m glad you call them beauty gurus instead of MUAs. I’m a certified MUA, and most of the beauty gurus aren’t, even though they and other people call them that. And they often teach people the wrong techniques etc, because they don’t actually know the right way, while advertising it as “the right way”. Beauty Guru gives them the credit they deserve without saying they’re something they’re not

You should do a video, where you do THE PALETTE OF THE PALLETES , you should mix all the colors that lookalike and make many single shadows in different colors to make the supreme eyeshadow palette. Separating by matte, shimmer, etc. Mix all the reds to make the supreme red, all the warm browns to make the supreme brown... Something like that haha
