I love how you ride watching your videos give me a lot of confidence! Seeing how you got Jericho over ditches was amazing thank you for sharing your horsey life with me.
It is good to see, how well you prepare your horse (and yourself) tp have everything ok for challenging jumps: a really good jumping saddle (9:40), safe girth, spurs in place - and at 11:13 the stirrups, which seem to be quite high for such a long legged girl (look at 11:53 - but let us see, how well she sits). The she has her crop with her and mounts from a block - extremely soft sit in. Well done, Hannah! Jerry will repay for that. As to your jumping: Now one can see, why you use so short stirrups: When cantering between jumps, you don´t sit in the saddle (as most riders do) but canter standing in your stirrups, thus putting no weight whatsoever on Jerry´s back - and he tells by body language, how much he enjoys your light and soft ride. And I admire your jump at 16:13 - just a pole on a barrel, no side limits, nothing to help keeping your horse in line, as there is the danger, that most horses would prefer to side pass that jump. But you must be absolutely certein, that Jerry will jump that, when you ask for it. You rely 100 % on his well behaving loyalty and obedience - you must trust him beyond any limits. And he justifies your trust in him by clearing that difficult jump in perfect style (16:23) with you, Hannah, in excellent position and soft landing. That is a performance very few girls would dare to try - but you were perfect, as was Jerry! I love your photo with V-sign at 17:14: Yes, you were the victor, the girl who did everything in a perfect way. Finally my congratulations for jumping a ditch so well at 17:32 - you did a good job in making him do that!!! My only question : Jerry is so lively, forward moving, ambitious - why do you take spurs and crop, which you never use? (Or would he become lazy, when you stop threatening him by having those torture instruments?) Good luck for your future show jumping and eventing - looking forward to very good results!
She didn't ask for your opinion and she is a very good rider and she did everything perfectly. Don't tell her what to do, she has a trainer for that. One that is a good trainer and he would tell her if she needed to change something.
WhinnyTheHorse did you read the entire comment? Heinz Stoffregen practically gave hannah a bunch of compliments, then just asked why she uses spurs and a crop. nothing wrong with that
Hannah Lucy Take it as an opinion of a viewer, who watched this video and your riding several times to find that you are an excellent rider, Hannah, and who wanted to tell you, what he felt and which sections of the video impressed him most. You have won a fan in Germany, who is so fascinated that he subscribed to your channel and who hopes to enjoy many more riding videos.
Love seeing different ways riders clean tack and prep for clinics and shows! If i took a brush to my saddle it would be destroyed because it's calfskin!
You have a great jumping seat. You see too many jumpers that throw their legs way wack when there jumping and if something went wrong they are more likely to fall
+Equestrian4life 89 Its where a instructor comes to either a xc course for xc schooling , in a arena, show ground etc and interacts with groups and coaches different levels with what ever discipline your doing
I do have some effax at home, and I never used it as you do... Was wondering, do you actually clean your saddle before applying the effax or??? thx ^_^
Hey Hannah (love your videos), I was wondering where did you get that red saddle cloth that Jerry is wearing in this video? I really love it and would love to get one.
This is really cool, thank you for uploading 😊 I never thought to use a toothbrush! I always struggle to clean the intricate parts aha. Will definitely be using that tip in the future. 🙌🏼
is there a reason you don't clean the saddle before applying conditioner and not on the panels? not hating just asking because i use cleaner beforehand because otherwise all i can imagine is just rubbing the grime into the leather
Anyone know where I can find a saddle buffer like the one she has (the one she said was popular in Australia)? I'm in the US and I can't find anything similar anywhere!
Hannah Lucy you have a beautiful horse their! I do have a question about the back tightness? I have a nice mare that also suffers with this issue. For my mare I have found that regular chiro/massage therapy has been very helpful for her. Has your horse been seen by a chiro/massage therapist? I can see the soreness that another commenter noted and I'm not trying to get on your case or anything. We have all been their at one time or another when it comes to horses. I do believe your horse would benefit from a good adjustment and massage if it hasn't been done yet. I know that with my mare she tends to throw her withers out of line which shows up as stiffness in the hind end and reluctance to turn to the right or left side depending on where the problem is. I also know that if I were to try to ride her when she is saying ouch! I would be launched into the next county! Your horse is a beautiful saint can I have him? LOL!
Can I have your leg and a confident horse like Jery?? aha my thoroughbred is quite a different ride haha.. He isn't really all about those ditches and skinny jumps as Jerico is... And I know Jerry used to be terrified of ditches.. but he is awesome now
She spends a lot of time preparing herself and Jerico. Love how her horse changes legs after the jump. And to all of the other viewers who ride, try to mount from a mounting block or something because mounting from the ground is really bad for the horse's back. Love you +Hannah Lucy
why do i watch these even when i know how to groom ? xD
and tack up xD
+IAm3.14YearsOld omg an equestrian that's also part of the phandom... we are the same person
+Gabby Mae Omg yes, horses and the Phandom for the win
ofcourse_its_my_horse yasssss
Because it's fun to watch other people groom there horses.
1 thing: BEAUTIFUL HORSE!
Yassssssssss!!!!!!!!
I watch this video almost twenty times a day. I love watching grooming and tack up videos all the time, but this is my favorite one
I love how you ride watching your videos give me a lot of confidence! Seeing how you got Jericho over ditches was amazing thank you for sharing your horsey life with me.
You should make a video on how to measure horse back to fit the right size saddle

i dont think she asked for your opinion...
I don't really know how to feel about this tbh

Your videos relax me so much I love it it makes chill the beautiful bond that you have with your horse
Love seeing different ways riders clean tack and prep for clinics and shows! If i took a brush to my saddle it would be destroyed because it's calfskin!
I'm obsessed with dapple bays. He is stunning!
This is just my opinion but I normally use a sponge because I personally think its more gentle but yeah iv'e got to try your method as a change!
The song at 4:08 is 'the journey' by Tom misch :)
You have a great jumping seat. You see too many jumpers that throw their legs way wack when there jumping and if something went wrong they are more likely to fall

6:54 what does that mean? Sorry im just new to horse terms

you should get a round bit guard for his rubs
And also, what is that pole on the very edge of the arena that your jumped him over? Is it sort of a ditch?😀
I do the same with Mal!! He gets rubs as well, it isn't his bit or anything it is the same as Jer.
And I use olive oil as well!!!!!!!
Yes gorgeous, what breed is he? I have 2 gypsy cobs, but I'm wanting a French trotted, Irish Dutch or a thoroghbred☺

I know that spurs are crucial to send signals to your horse.. But does it hurt the horses?
Sylvia Yang Only if used improperly
I love how when you shifted his tail he went from one foot to the other.

what brand is the red saddle pad?
freeridexx le mieux
i really love this video! i went to horseland and saw jump stirrups
She spends a lot of time preparing herself and Jerico. Love how her horse changes legs after the jump. And to all of the other viewers who ride, try to mount from a mounting block or something because mounting from the ground is really bad for the horse's back. Love you +Hannah Lucy
going amazing han!
