- Alien Student Shocked by Deathworlder’s Casual Approach to Life on a Class 13 Planet | HFY Story
In this thrilling sci-fi adventure, Alex, a human student from Earth, finds herself navigating the complexities of life in the Galactic Federation's Elite Academy for Gifted Younglings, where she is the only representative from her planet. Earth, classified as a "Class 13 Deathworld"-the highest and most dangerous rating in the Galactic Federation's planetary index-has forged humans into resilient survivors, but to the other species at the Academy, Alex is a curiosity at best and a potential threat at worst.
Her sarcastic, bold attitude and human adaptability often clash with the more delicate, measured sensibilities of her alien peers, setting the stage for humor, tension, and high-stakes confrontations.
After a casual comment about sneezing causing catastrophic damage on the fragile planet Floridium VII, Alex’s sharp wit surprises her alien classmates, who are unaccustomed to human humor. But it's during a zero-gravity combat simulation that she truly makes her mark. Her quick thinking and strategic use of her Earth-honed survival skills defeat Zax'lor, an arrogant student from a prestigious crystalline species, in front of the entire class, shaking the Academy's assumptions about her species. Alex’s victory captures the attention of the Galactic Federation's higher-ups, igniting a debate about humanity's potential role in the wider galaxy.
Despite her humorous approach to galactic education, Alex begins to feel the weight of representing all of humanity. With each class, from Xenobiology to Advanced Astrophysics, she’s not just learning about the universe-she’s teaching it about Earth. As she grows into her unexpected role as an ambassador for her species, Alex must navigate intergalactic politics, the fear her classmates hold toward “Deathworlders,” and her own feelings of homesickness for the chaotic beauty of Earth.
As Alex faces off against powerful alien students, builds unlikely friendships with beings like her amorphous friend Zorg and the luminous Vix'ara, and finds herself at the center of galactic intrigue, she must balance her playful defiance with the responsibilities of proving that humans are more than their deadly reputation. Will Alex’s unique skills and relentless human spirit earn her a place in the galactic community, or will she accidentally cause an interstellar incident with her sharp tongue and fearless approach?
Follow Alex’s journey as she challenges the galaxy’s preconceived notions, fights for humanity’s place among the stars, and proves that even the most dangerous species can offer something truly extraordinary. This action-packed, humorous, and thought-provoking story explores what it means to be human in a universe that’s still figuring out what that really means.

"Next time bring an argument that isn't made of glass." when your opponent is quite literally made of glass is crazzzzyyyyy.
"Do you know who my father is?"
"Why? Didn't your mother tell you?"
0:0:30 That cracked me up so hard. A human girl with her feet propped twirling a pencil, with the picture that monstrosity on screen.
This is a well written piece - I chuckled all the way through it. Thanks........
With great power comes great responsibility.

Great story. I wish it was read by a human instead of AI.
Where the heck is part 2 for this fascinating story? You can't leave Alexandra sitting on a seat and wondering what's about to happen.
What fun, bad boy gets shown up and she makes new friends!
The story ended when she went to the Dean's meeting with the galaxy's diplomatic beings. ugh, does she become an ambassador to earth?
VII=the number 7, ms=miss,VIX=the number 60, okay😀
AI doesn't get Roman numerals
@@suecarol1563 AI doesn't get much of anything; place names, normal names, "sci fi" names. I cringe. :(
VIX is not 60, LX is.
The writer needs to avoid Roman numerals when feeding the script to the ai.
@@LuciferVonCarstein ok my bad.
Why does that girl have an american flag on her sleeve....a UN symbol would be more appropriate.
I agree. It's possible that in this story's time countries are completely different and the USA does not exist.
"O' Universe tremble, for Mother Earth has birthed an unforgiving force and it looks upon you wanting.
Sorry, can’t take 40 mins. of the accent.
Why is there always a women's voice jumping in. Is it that hard to have the same voice read the thing. It's in almost all or them. Very distracting and messes up the whole monolog
it's a robot reading it and they malfunction at points that's why.
M-s... What a stupid AI
if that's all you have as a criticism you should probably go back to school and take a writing class
