For the record: Milk Cow Blues was written by Sleepy John Estes in the early 30s and has been covered by many artists in many different styles, often with each artist changing the lyrics a bit. One of the early covers was don by Robert Johnson. To claim that one particular artist did the definitive version is a matter of personal taste, not fact. Just listen to the music and enjoy!

Wikipedia has Milk Cow Blues as written and originally recorded by Kokomo Arnold in 1934, and by many artists since, including Elvis and Doc Watson. If this is the same song there are a lot of changes in it. Still, I like it. It's also nice to hear som acoustic work at times.

This guy has heard many versions of this song, most notably the original by Arnold, the one by Elvis Presley and another one by the Kinks, and he SINGS it with all those memories in mind. Fantastic.

memo echeverría He didn't do the original version of the song. He copied Elvis' version of it. Elvis' version was a completely different song than Kokomo's version. In fact if Elvis changed the lyrics he could have said he wrote the song himself and nobody would have been able to trace the original. Aeorsmith was doing Elvis' version of the song. So you obviously don't know anything about the blues now do you?
